When does the dining plan START?

Can we start using our dining plan tickets as soon as we check in?

Just double-checking, because then this seems that if we bought a package of 7 nights, in essence we would get to use our 7 days of meal tickets over a period of 8 days, is that right?

For example, we check in on Sunday afternoon. Sunday night is night #1, and Saturday night is night #7. I know that the tickets expire at midnight on the night you check out, so in this case, they expire the second Sunday night at midnight.

But we can start using them on the Sunday afternoon we check in, so we're using them over a total of 8 days (or 7 1/2) , is that correct?

You can start using the dining plan as soon as you check in and receive your room key cards. You will receive those whether your room is actually ready for occupation or not.

You receive meal credits encoded onto your key cards (there are no tickets or vouchers). Each person will receive credits according to how many nights you have booked at your resort. If you book 7 nights on the basic dining plan, you get 7 TS, 7 CS and 7 snack credits per person. You receive all these credits for the entire trip as soon as you check in, and you have until midnight of the day you check out to use all of them. It's entirely up to you which credits you use on which days.
