I've been looking all over creation for this ornament and can't find it anywhere! (It's a tradition that I get Morgan the "daughter" ornament every year from Hallmark).

I can look out here in CO! My Dad collects the Disney Hallmarks, and we've found that what's available can very quite a bit. Mostly, what I can't find out west, he had no problem tracking down, and what he needed, I could find it easily.

But I have my own ornament hunt I need, if people don't mind.

DH bought me a set of three ornaments from Disneyshopping.com for my birthday, and he didn't check them before he wrapped them, and one is broken. Online and all three Disney Stores we have here are sold out. So if you happen to be in a Disney store and see one, I'd appreciate it. But don't go driving very far to get to one...Disney marked their holiday stuff down already, so I think most places are sold out.

I wish I were there to help. Holly if you feel like running across the border, there is a Hallmark store in Dayville, CT off 395. It's really not a busy shopping center so it might be worth a try. There is also a store in Mansfield CT in the East Brook mall, and one in Waterford in the Crystal Mall.

Thank you all for checking...I have not been able to find it. I had listed a plea on CraigsList on Sunday and got an email this morning that it was on FreeCycle, but I can't find it! I have emailed them back, but no response. I'm hoping to find something that will at least act as a replacement for Christmas morning (there's a cute girl deer talking on a cell phone, here's hoping I can find it).

Yesterday, I checked 2 stores including my "go to" store, and no dice. I checked one Kohls, but they had very little left. DH told me that when he was in the store closest to us, that the salesperson said that because of the economy, Hallmark cut production this year. That might be why its such a problem...only, I guess nobody told the shoppers, because the stores are a lot barer then I usually have seen them. There were people in there looking for first baby, new home, lots of the "traditional type" ornaments.

I suspect, though, that after the holiday is over, and people's focus shifts, that come this spring, you should be able to pick one up reasonably on ebay. If an IOU is okay. It's not like this is the first ornament in the Frosty Friends series. :goodvibes

Sorry, it's not in SW Michigan! I was in shock -- there I am in Kohl's and there were only 4 or 5 Hallmark ornaments left! Star Wars and a weird leopard playing soccer :confused3 And the few left were only at 20% off. The non-Hallmarks were 60% off.

We've been making the transition from the "big" stuff from Santa to the "big" stuff from us. As much as I want it to last forever, I know it won't :(

What you could do for this year is the two of you make an ornament together. I make an ornament for DS every year. I used to always cross stitch him one, but last year and this year I used my Cricut. This year I used a plain wood circle ornament from JoAnn's, painted it and then cut little tiny pieces from Life's a Beach and made a beach scene. This represented his scout summer trip to SeaBase in the Keys in July.

That's a great idea Stephanie. We made 3 dozen of the glitter ornaments this year. Maybe I'll pull a favorite out and see if we can get the year on one of them. That will be our special one.

On a side note...She didn't even notice it wasn't there. She had an incredible Christmas (as always). We are very lucky to have very generous families.

I will keep looking though. My AR side will not let me rest if her "collection" is not complete. ;)

I checked in 3 Hallmark stores today in NJ and PA and didn't see it. I'm sorry you haven't found it yet. Don't give up tho. I actually had a year where I could only find 1 daughter ornament when I needed 2 (had one for one of my daughters and had ornaments for the boys ... wonder if I would have started this son/daughter ornament every year if I knew I was going to have 5 kids?), one of my coworkers found a store that still had the display up and they sold it to her (every year one of my kids asks why that ornament doesn't have a Hallmark box. I've learned to grab those ornaments early in the season now.

I would have bought a display one if one had been available! I'm still hopeful that I can get one for a reasonable price on eBay later in January/February.

I do appreciate so much that everyone has been looking for it. What a story it will (would) make if one of you does find it!

I wish I had seen this post earlier this week. I saw the ornament at one of our local hallmarks. I plan on going to one tomorrow. I will check and see if they have one. The hallmarks cut back on ordering as many ornaments this year. They ran out early on a lot of them!
