We just returned last Wednesday from a fabulous week with Free Dining.
Myself, DW, DS(10), DD(8). Although we enjoyed many of the restaurants, I have to say that Teppan Edo was one of our favourites for sure.
The kids had so much fun...the chef was really funny and great to them. Great value for kids as well because the pretty much get exactly the same meals as the adults. My DD was so tired of her limited choices at other restaurants.
The food was really, really good:thumbsup2
We all had variations of shrimp. chicken and steak.
The chocolate ginger cake for dessert was definitely one of my favs of the week:)

I know everybody has different tastes in Disney restaurants and I had read some negative reviews about TE, but in the end I highly recommend the experience.

My 9YO LOVED this restaurant and keeps on talking about how great it was. She had the shrimp, and really enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing the great pictures!

Out of all of the places that we dined on our last trip this was DD6 favorite place. We will be planning to take her to a Japanese steak house here at home soon. She loved the interaction with the chef and eating witht he alter chop sticks. They even made several more for her to bring home to share with other family members. It is so funny to hear her tell everyone about this meal as she starts by telling everyone that she had her own private chef cook her meal for her. She had me take several pictures of him so that she could add them into her scrapbook!!!! What a great memory!

I noticed alot of Zucchini in the picture of your mixed vegetables, what other veggies are there? My family won't eat Zucchini  Can you ask for no Zucchini or do you just take what they give you?

We loved our dinner at Teppan Edo, too!!! We almost didn't reserve at this restaurant because we didn't think we would enjoy it, but the food was delicious. I think the experience differs based on the skills and personality of the chef you get, ours was entertaining! As far as the veggies go, its supposed to be seasonal. We were there in September '09 and they served zucchini then, too. I'm not a fan, but I tried it and it was good! They will prepare the food to your liking, if you don't like the zucchini, they may offer another veggie or just not serve you the zucchini.

Kind of upset that TE is not on the Dining Plan for 2010... My daughter really wants to go there again, we problaby will... I'll just have to pay for it! :santa:

Mmmmm, that looks awesome. I'd love to go there on our trip but not sure if I can talk hubby into it. He's all about "American" food, lol. A true steak and potatos man, not sure if Japanese is up his ally.

My DH doesn't like Asian food but he loved Teppan Edo. We all did. He got steak and chicken and the watching the "show" was so much fun. My DD5 loved the chopsticks for kids (they take chopsticks and wrap bands around them so they can learn). It is expensive so we used DDP. LOVED it. Here are some pics.

It was my DH's aunt's birthday so they put this hat on her and sung. It was great.
