Longtime Disney fan here!
What can be said about Disney? From the feeling you get when you're riding the monorail towards the park to the ambiance of the park when you enter, there's something magical about Disney. I've only been to the Florida park so far, but someday I definitely want to go to TokyoDisneyland.
My favorite things about Walt Disney World are (interestingly enough) the smells. It might sound weird, but the smells in the park are what hold the best memories for me. Especially the smell of Splash Mountain.
Well, yeah, I hope to take part in some interesting discussions here! :cool1:

We've only done WDW, but after 43 trips it still holds the ambiance and magic. We enjoy the smell of the resort, we're WL fans and entering the lobby and getting the first whiff, transports us to neverland. Should I even mention the pop corn smell from the parks. We're both 60 years old and spying the monorail track once on property makes us grin that we're almost there, we know the route so well, and then the Welcome Arch and finally turning up the WL drive, the anticipations building to an awesome crescendo. We've done our grocery and alcohol stop, have traveled 1200 miles and 34+ hours by train and breezing thru the check in process and onto our room relieves all the stress of normal life. We always unpack, stash the staples and load a cooler with libations, don our suits and head to the pool to drink in the Florida sun, sights and smells, kick back a few and prepare ourselves for 9-12 nights of sheer bliss. Nothing better in this world for us and growing.
I know where you're coming from, sights and smells sometime mean more than the attractions. We even say when at home and go somewhere, doesn't that smell remind you of Disney? Glad we're not alone is our fantasies.

Capt. - welcome aboard:lmao:
I agree that the smells are part of the magic. The sounds are also a big part for me too. I like to walk into the park and just close my eyes for a few seconds. There's just something in the air...pixie dust, perhaps?
