trying to book easter

when i try to book 7 days in april which is easter week dates 4th - 11th. on line ressies wont let me. but when i put in 1st -14th i can get a spot. why is this i dont want more than 7 days. can any1 explain this

I think because Easter is one of the most popular times at Disney, you might book what you can get and try to keep booking the rest thru cancellations. I booked April no problem but not the Easter period. I would also book that 1 - 14 if you can, and cancel the dates you dont want later, a lot of people do that..

Yes the Disney ressie system will often come up empty for requests around popular holidays or weekends only (Friday-Sunday) at the Fort. So you do have to play the game of reserving longer blocks and later cancelling off unwanted days. As long as it's a room-only reservation (and not a package) you can drop those days any time.

I just did that. I booked online for 14 days and then called about 5 minutes and had them modify down to the 5 days I orginally wanted. The guy on the phone was nice about it and said it happens quite a bit.
