AKL and WL are both $119 for our December trip. Should we make the jump up to a Deluxe this time?? We currently have CBR for $85. If so, which one should we pick ??
Thanks

Having never been to either ;) , I would say go with WL because the transportation situation is better and I hear that the WL is really decked out for Christmas.

I would pick AKL- we stayed there in January and fell in love with the place. We visited WL to check it out. Although we liked it and would like to try it - the AKL has a sort of magic we didn't quite catch at WL. I think you can't go wrong either way - but my pick would be for AKL:bounce:

We couldn't decide either so we decided to split between the two. Oct 9-12 at WL and 12-14 at AKL. How long will you be staying?

We've stayed at both - WL when it was brand new, and AKL this January. I'd go with AKL! We visited WL for lunch one day, and it is still really beautiful, but I'd give the edge to AKL.
We found the transportation at AKL to be superior to WL. We never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a bus there, and there is no sharing with other resorts. We got everywhere easily.
Good luck with your choice- you'll enjoy either resort.

I am on the fence with these two hotels too. I stayed at AKL last time, and it was great. Transportation was top notch and the hotel was wonderful. I heard wonderful things about the WL, however the DBF is NOT keen on the theme. He grew up in Colorado and has a "been there, done that" feeling about the place.
What I am most concerned about it getting my bed type. I want a King bed damn it! I will stay in smoking, accessable, over a noisy bar...ok maybe not a noisy bar..but you get my point. :)
Ah well, maybe I should post a new thread about ideas about getting my requests...
Good luck with the new codes all!

We also will be there in December. We currently have res at the All Star Music but since the new codes have come out I want to change.
We are looking at two or three rooms, we would love to stay at either the AKL or WL because they have bunk-beds for the kids, did I mention there will be 5 adults and two kids (3 year old and a 6 year old).
This trip is really for the kids, but gosh darn the Aunt in the group who prefers Deluxe hotels would also like a great stay.
So the question is where should we stay, AKL or WL or what about the CBR what are the rooms like there? What is the best place so the kids will have lots to do but the Aunt can get some of those first class amentities?
We also have annual pass holders and are waiting for those codes/discounts to come out, does anyone know if those will be better than the ones that just came out?

Like so many above have stated, split your stays .... the rates are the same across hotels so no loss of money .... and with luggage exchange between resorts, you dont lose that much time either!
We're doing this in September (another product of indecision) and capping it off with 3 nights at the Royal Pacific before heading to DLR and 4 nights at the Grand Californian. Life doesnt get much better than that.
