bidding for hotels etc.????

Ok, I know a lot of you do this, so please fill me in on how it works, which sites are best, and which ones tell you exactly what you are getting. I would like to take advantage of the great bargins, but am a little leary. I always need at least two rooms (there will always be 7-8 of us), so I need to know how to guarantee I can get two bedrooms. Another thing, I always need at least a queen bed, so do these sites specify that as well? Which site or sites would be best for me? I do not like the unknown where hotels are concerned. Thanks!

I just won an auction for a two bedroom at my choice of resorts. Oncce I won I told them that I acutally needed four of them or I would not be able to go. They confirmed my alternate travel dates and four units at Orange Lake Country Club the next day...and we are paying less than $400 pre unit per week and that includes all those nasty hotel taxes, etc.

So far no complaints with skyauction.
