Someone who doesn't have a credit card getting a pin.

Hello,

I'm travelling with someone who doesn't have a credit card and I'm wondering whether it's worth their time to try and get a pin? They will be there with me, but I'm paying on my card and I do not share the same last name. I know pins are attached to names, so will we have any issue or is this okay. I'm already trying to get a pin, but 2 people trying might be better...

I don't think "trying" to get a code will help you. Also, it doesn't matter whether a person has a credit card as to whether they might get a pin.

Sorry my question is as long as the person who got the pin is traveling, can a credit card with a different name be used. I'm thinking yes, and I'm going to get them to try it.

I have the same question. My sister and I want to take our kids ( one room) to dinsey in May. She got a pin code, but we want to pay with my disney visa. I think it will be fine, but would like to hear from someone who has done it:)

The person who gets the PIN can have up to 3 rooms booked with that code. Each room will be under a lead person's name. Each room can pay their bill however they wish.

For example. Myself & 2 other families are going in March. I got a PIN, and called and had it applied to all 3 rooms. Each room has a different name (mine, the P's, and the S's). Everyone is paying their own bill, in their own way!

Also, the person that doesn't have a credit card can make a reservation with a Disney Gift Card if they want to. They can also apply them to the room (or cash or traveler's check) if they want to do room charges.

Disney is one of the few vacation destinations left that doesn't require a credit card for any part of your trip.
After you book, you are given a certain amount of time to make your deposit, and this can be done anyway you want - credit card, debit card, check, money order, Disney Gift Card, Disney dollars... I suppose you could probably even mail in cash, but I wouldn't recommend it...
Your balance can be paid in the same way.
Then when you arrive at the resort you can set up your room charge in any way you want as well. Obviously, if you set it up with cash, your limit will be that cash amount.
Now there are some restaurants that require credit card guarantees for reservations, but most of them have set prices anyways, so I'm sure you could pay the full amount in advance... I'm not entirely sure about that though.

This is one of the reasons I love Disney soo much. They're one of the only places that doesn't require a credit card guarantee. We don't have actual credit cards either. I have one, but it works as my overdraft protection for my bank account. It has an incredibly high interest rate and a low limit, I don't use it for anything else. It's particularly frustrating when hotels want to freeze money in my bank account for incidentals, and some places won't even do that anymore. You HAVE to have a credit card.

Anyways...don't worry about it.
