What's yours?
I usually don't like New Year's resolutions, but after listening to the live podcast I have decided that mine is to go to the next Dis-A-Palooza no matter what!

After not being able to find my annual pass, my universal ticket, my pin lanyard and a few other things I needed to pack, I am resolving to get better organized.

I want to enjoy more of life. The past academic year has been more about me and enjoying life, but I want to make my social life even bigger part, I still haven't found that balance between professional and social.

Spend less time on the computer and more time in life. Also, get more sleep.
That means giving up Farmville on Facebook and not following the DIS boards as much.
I will see you in December on PCC 2.0!

definitely need to work on my fitness. It's not even so much about being skinny (though that'd be nice!!), i just want to be somewhat in shape. i relied on rugby for 4 years to at least keep me sorta in line...now that i'm outta college and don't have that, it's no good!!
i'd also love to find a "real" job, or at least figure out what i'm going to do for grad school.
mmmm perhaps i should try to cut down on drinking too...

More outdoor activities. I finally got a proper road bike last year so I want to spend more time cycling. We have a National Park with loads of trails 30 minutes from my house and every year I say I am going to do more trail hikes, 2010 will be the year I follow through.

For me, it's to lose weight..not only for me, but because my doctor said so also.
Also, I'm going to really work on not taking things so personal, especially on here. Not really on this board, but other ones. I need to learn that if someone doesn't respond back to a post of mine or an email, that doesn't mean that they don't like me. And even if that's true, then I need to let that go!!
Focus on my school work and pay more attention to myself. I'm constantly putting others ahead of my own happiness and I need to work on that.
Try to cut my smoking down. Been getting better at it, but I need to cut it down even further.
Do better with house cleaning!!! I hate doing certain things in the house, but if I stay on top of it, it won't be so bad!!
GET A NEW BED!!!!! My back can't take the old one much longer!!!
Continue to spead smiles and hugs and love all over the place!!!:cloud9::hug:

Okay now that I have read all of the other good ones I need to pick out some other good ones too... especially since I don't think there is going to be a Dis-a-palooza in 2010
I second the "write more" - I love writing but I barely make the time for it.
I need to get on the exercise train too. I would love to get in super shape!
Thirdly, I would like to volunteer more. I always say I am going to do that, but I never get around to it. This year I will.
- 2010- you better be a good one- I am still disappointed that we do not all have flying cars by now ;)

I was thinking about doing that, but how on earth do you find your relay partner in the crowd? Do you know?
That's a great New Years resolution!

The organizers should handle the relay hand off. I've never done a relay but a lot of the races I do have relays so I've seen them. There are two ways the relay usually works and it depends on the course.
If it is a two loop course both partners could start at the same time and just run one of the two loops. This could also be done if it is a course that goes out one way, turns around, passes close to the start again, and then goes out another direction. Sometimes they divert the relay runners to the finish while the solo runners continue. For both of these they just add the times up.
The more common way to do a relay is have a preset hand off point half way out. They bus the runners who are running the second half to that point or they walk if it is close enough to the start for them to do so (requiring a course like the one I mentioned above). As runner one approaches the hand off area they have someone staged with a microphone who calls out the number of the runner who is approaching. When you hear your number you get out into the road or hand off area from the staging area.
They haven't announced the course yet so I can't really guess which way Disney will do the relay. Once they have the course decided they will announce the procedure. Regardless of how they do it it won't require you being found in a crowd, well, I hope not at least.

I am hoping it is like Frank's second suggestion. As that way, I can do the first part with Kim or Anna and the second part with whichever one didn't do the first part.:goodvibes

Not a big fan of new years resolutions and I often get a kick outta the NYR crowds at the gym that are huge in January and fade in March....but that being said, I am taking one on this year.
Stop eating sweets everyday. Bad habit I got into with pregnancy and nursing.
Run a 5k race.

i already go to the gym 5 days a week, but now i have to get the eating under control...
and i suppose add some time in the gym..
clearly what i'm doing right now isn't working, since my weight has been steadily rising since last year....
so this is it...i really really really really mean it.....
