Val D'Europe from Disneyland? I am starting work at DLRP next week and they have said I need to go there. I am thinking it is just one stop on the train. Do you buy tickets at the station or on the train? And does anyone know how much one stop would cost? Thank you in advance :goodvibes

Yep, from memory you go on RER A and it is one stop down the line. We paid 15E for six of us return so I can't think that a ticket for one person is that expensive. When you leave the station turn right and you will see the start of the complex.

Good luck with your new job, anything exciting?

Thank you! I will be working at the banquets at Hotel New York and Newport Bay. I'm looking for info on the banquets too, and if they are on every day?

Congrats on the job :goodvibes

You can get a carnet of 10 tickets between DLP station and Val d Europe for 12 euros. Just get them from the ticket office to your left as you enter the main door of the station at DLP. That area (the RER trains) is also where you jump on the train - any train from any platform - to Val d Europe from DLP. It is the first stop from DLP, and all RER trains leaving DLP stop there.

The journey from Val d Europe to DLP is just as easy and just as frequent - as all RER trains heading for DLP also stop at Val d Europe first.

Let me add my congrats on your job.

Whilst the RER journey from Val d'Europe is normally very straightforward can I just point out that there is currently an indefinite train drivers strike on RER Line A. The strike has already been running for a week and the only trains running have been a limited service during the morning and evening rush hours.

See the website www.ratp.fr (http://www.ratp.fr) for more info

Hopefully the strike will end soon and will not cause you too many problems

Thanks for the congrats everyone.

That is really worrying me about the strike. I wont have a car so I don't see any other way of getting to Val D'Europe, plus I don't know anyone there to help me. Can you get the train to Val D'Europe from Charles De Gaulle? Or will the strike affect that too?

Its a different line from CDG so you wil need to change in central Paris - at Chatelet des Halles from line B onto line A

I think it probably will be affected by the strike.

You will actually get to Val d'Europe before DLP so if going right there will get off about 2 stops earlier.

There are also buses go from DLP to val d'Europe

You could also get the TGV from CDG to DLP (not sure if this is affected by the strike) or the VEA

Only RER Line A which is from central Paris to Disneyland via Val d'Europe is affected by strike.
TGV is running normally which goes directly from airport to Disney as is RER B from airport to central Paris
Don't know how you were planning on getting from airport to Disney.
Have just checked the RER website and they have an emergency timetable up at the moment - on weekdays they are running one train in two between 7:30am and 9:30am and again between 4:30pm and 7:30pm but no service at other times.
Doesn't say what will run at weekend if strike continues.
Obviously, depends on what time you are travelling.
As I said previously hopefully strike will be over before you arrive.

Yes, unfortunately I will be arriving in the middle of the day when there are no trains. I think I will just get a taxi if there are no trains. Thanks for all the advice :thumbsup2
