As many of you know my trip was a bit of a disaster hotel wise and i sent dlp an email detailing what happened and my disapointment at the hotel santa fe. today i recieved a two page letter in the post apolagising. It didnt feel too copy and pasted and made reference to specifics in my email as well as listing what had been done and who the problems had been passed on to. They also included a tigger plush for my little girl whose birthday is today. She turned three. So when she saw the dlp logo on the envelope she was convinced mickey mouse sent her a present for her birthday and who am i to correct her :rotfl: She was over the moon and tigger stayed with her for the day. She is even asleep with him right now. So thank you disney. I am pleased that i got a response and now can look forward to my next trip instead of thinking about the last one lol

I'm glad you got an appropriate response to your complaint, maybe you will get a surprise or 2 when you get to your hotel in March :)? You never know, stranger things have happened.

well the letter did state that my details of my upcoming trip have been passed onto someone cant remember who and they will ensure my trip runs smoothly. to be honest i will be happy with a working heater and no bugs lol. definatley felt like a bit of disney magic to have it come today ash was beaming lol

Glad you got a personal response and lovely that it arrived on Ash's birthday. Hopefully they'll do something extra special for your march trip:thumbsup2

When my friend complained he got a similar "we'll smooch your butt" letter for his next return visit and to be fair to Disney they honoured it completely. So hang on tight to the letter and when the time comes for your next visit make sure you have it to hand.
Glad to see they acknowledged the problem and hopefully the next trip will be more magical :wizard:

Didn't know what this was all about until I read your previous post - we go to SF in 6 days and I am having scares about those horrible bug things - we have been to the hotel before and everything was fine (but then so had you!) Hoping that we don't have anything like this or I would just freak. Just out of interest which room/section did you have?

to be fair to the staff the second the manager stepped in the room and saw them he rang on his mobile and told the staff to put the room out of order. it was in block 50 as far as i remember the room was perfect bar the bugs :rotfl:
hopefully i was just unlucky and those problems have been sorted. we are currently booked to stay at the sf in march and my mam doesnt want to pay more money so we may well end up back there again.
i wouldnt worry too much but if you notice anything wrong with the room ring reception imediately.
