Here is a question which I have not seen anywhere, and I thought I would ask here before calling WDW for the information. Is it possible for say, my husband and I to purchase the Deluxe Dining Plan, and my kids to get the regular Dining Plan(2 adult plans, one child plan)? We would like to do a couple Signature meals, just the two of us, and Then we would have the extra TS credits for that, and the kids can do their CS meals while we have our adult time. Has anyone ever tried to do this? Figuring it out is tough!:confused3

I believe that all members of the same reservation have to be on the same plan. Unless you booked two rooms/two different reservations, you couldn't use different plans.

Everyone listed on the same room reservation has to purchase the same dining plan for the full length of the stay. You cannot mix and match dining plans among members of the same party, nor can you purchase the plan for some registered guests but not others. If you have two children on the reservation (over age 3) you cannot purchase the plan for just one of them.
Because your party is parents and children, this won't work, but parties wishing to be on two separate dining plans can book two separate room reservations, with a different dining plan on each reservation. But on the same room reservation, all guests must be on the same dining plan.

Thanks for the information! After doing various spreadsheet calculations, I actually think it is more cost effective to go OOP. I planned meals for the time we were there, and it wouldn't work for the regular plan, (too many ts meals). But my plan cost less than doing the deluxe plan. With three kids who don't normally eat that much (and two of whom we would be paying adult plan prices for), we could fill ourselves very nicely and have leftover money with what the "value" of the DDP. By the way, does anyone have an idea of what the average holiday surcharge on meals is around Christmas? :yay::santa:

$4 per adult, $2 per child at all Disney buffets, all you can eat family style restaurants, and fixed price, fixed menu restaurants. There is no surcharge at a la carte restaurants.
