weight limit on segway tours?

I see the limit is 250 lb's; how strict do they look at this. Is it a matter of a limit for the segway. presently I'm at 260 <post thanksgiving & pre xmas/new years> I would hope to be at or below the 250 range by this summer and would like to do the segway at Epcot this summer. I'm active and play racketball, so I don't feel that I look like a fat 260, and carry the weight well
most people guess that I'm at the 200 range. How much should I worry about booking this tour and being told that I'm over the weight limit at ride time.popcorn:: thanks

From the segway web-site :

"Are there weight limits for the Segway PT?
Yes, Segway sets weight limits for rider safety and to reduce the risk of damage to the Segway PT. A rider must not be less than 100 lbs. (45 kg). The maximum payload (which includes rider and all cargo) for the Segway PT is 260 lbs. (117 kg). The total weight of any handlebar cargo plus any additional attachments hanging from the handlebar should not exceed 10 lbs. (4.5 kg)."

Everyone signs a waiver, part of which is a statement about the weight limits. They have a slide in the training presentation that in bold letters says the weight limit is 250 but they won't put you on a scale, or at least they didn't for me and I was pushing it about the same as you.

I often sit near the Segway tours while my older kids go through Innovations. The instructor explains the restrictions when someone signs a waiver. I've seen many people wait in long lines, just to exit at that point.
