Air fare wars??

My mom told me she saw "something on TV" about their being some air fare wars soon. She mentioned USAirways... I can't find any info about this and I don't see a change in prices yet. Anyone have more information for me? I've been waiting *patiently* for a cheap flight. (-: Thanks.

We just booked US air from Boston at $141 through Orbitz and this was much lower than it had been(for Thanksgiving week).
