Has anyone been this time of year? Will it be warm enough to swim in a heated outdoor pool? I am wondering if it is worth finding a place with water slide and fountains and such. We will be there the first or second week in February.
Thanks!

I'd say the odds are not in your favor for swimming weather in February based on my past experience. The answer is partly dependent on what you are used to, though. I'm from Georgia so I'm a bit of a wimp regarding air temperature - if you live in Nova Scotia you may have a much different point of view.

It also depends on the pool - all heated pools are not created (or heated) equal.

We find it plenty warm enough but then we are from Scotland.

It is a total mixed bag. You could have daytime highs in the low 80's or you could get hit with some daytime temps of high 50's to the low 60's. If you are there over 7 to 10 days you should have at least 4 to 6 days of possible swimming. The key is to make sure that the resort has a heated pool. Folks who live in the south generally find it too cool to swim there even with temps in the 70's. I was raised in the south and am stranded in the north (sort of, southern Ohio) but we always swim when the weather permits. The key is if it is warm enough on a given day, swim on that day, don't count on the weather staying that warm the entire trip. On a positive note, February is a fairly dry month in Orlando.

Thanks for the help. I guess it is not worth getting a hotel with a slide and such. I am also from Georgia (Kennesaw) so I am probably considered a wimp, too.

Hi! We rented a vacation home, a few years back, during the last week of January. We spent plenty of thime in the pool and we did not have it heated. We could not swim every day but we were sure glad it was there when the temp hit 85!
