Hi all,
Thanbks for posting about the issues with the registration on the website. I'll take a look at it now.
With regards to the plans for the event. We plan to have some speakers (TBC) as well as a trivia quizzes, exhibitions, pin trading, a silent auction and much more. We are also currently working on a BIG event that will be held on the Sunday afternoon. We are waiting to hear back from the people involved but it will be included in the ticket price. Sorry, I can't say anymore at the moment but we will announce more in due course.
We are also welcoming those people that are into Disney cosplay. We hope it will be a unique and very different event. This is the only event like it in the UK.
We hope you can all come along and we will let you know when the registration issue is fixed.

Tickets are currently on pre-sale to those people that have subscribed to our newsletter. They went on sale on Christmas Day and are selling fast. People who still subscribe to the newsletter will have it sent out to them with the link to the webpage. I will post the actual link to the thread tomorrow when the tickets go on general sale.
If you have subscribed and not received the newsletter please let me know so I can make sure you get one.

No, Any other city I would however Manchester is far to close to home! some one I know may see me.
That's a good idea about the lunch Claire :thumbsup2
And yep, I'm with you on dressing up, too close to home for me, I'm bound to see someone I know shopping and then finally realise I'm the biggest Disney freak!
It'll be great to meet you too hun and everone else on here. I'm gonna have to attach a LGMH to my bag LOL.
So, anyone else thinking of dressing up in costume? I think we are...certainly we're talking about it. :)
Oh, LGMH's will have to be order of the weekend! As I'm rubbish with names and I'll never remember everyone! There's my advanced warning that I'm not being rude, just rubbish :lmao:

I have booked the Ancoats Manchester one this morning - £19 on the Sunday night, and £66 on Saturday. It is only 0.25 miles away from the train station and the Printworks, which is near Mouse Meets. :) But I had to book the 2 nights separately, and the £19 one was through the sale link, as it did not come up with the cheap price otherwise.

I suddenly realised that I have some priority points sitting there doing nothing...so I booked two rooms at the Crowne Plaza for points plus $60 and then got the 3rd room for the discounted rate for Mousemeets. We are nearly ready with the plans for the Saturday of Mousemeets and have one more thing to finalise which we want your help on.
At around 9pm we are planning to have a group meal in Manchester and have several options. We would like you all to decide on which one we should do. The options are:
Yum Yum Chinese Buffet
This is inside the Printworks. The standard price is £10.80 but we hope to try and get a group discount. This is all you can eat but minus drinks. Those under 4ft are half price. http://www.yumyumbuffet.com/
Frankie and Benny's
A little further down from the Printworks is the city Centre Frankie and Bennys. This is an New York/ Italian restaurant. The group would be limited to 35 and meals would be ordered on seperate tickets with you repsonsible for your own bill. http://www.frankieandbennys.com/index.php?q=node/7
Pizza Hut
We would be able to make a group booking, again limited. Either you would be responsible for your own bill or Pizza Hut may be able to offer a flat fee for a certain meal. Details are to be arranged if this option is chosen. http://www.pizzahut.co.uk/restaurants/find-a-hut/map-info.aspx?storeid=469&d=0.0

Unfortunately I can't make it. It is a real pity as I live in Manchester. However, the reason that stops me going more than makes up for it. On Friday we booked the first Med cruise on the Disney Magic from 24th April to 5th May. I am so looking forward to this.

Yes, we are still coming on this. Since the beginning of the year it looked like that we would have to cancel this one as I had real problems getting the leave, but my boss came through for me on Friday. So we are definitely coming. I will catch up with the thread for the cruise over the next couple of days and then I will post there again.

Looking forward to it. I've booked one of Adam's tables and have begun to put together what to bring. I'll probably put pictures up on Flickr of stuff that is definitely coming and things I will only bring if someone wants them. The latter category includes some fun lifesize cardboard cutouts from Disney films over the years (Snow White's cottage anyone?). I'll definitely be bringing some WDCC stuff and other ornaments and some mugs in their boxes, some from Disney conventions. Hope I can tempt some of you! :thumbsup2

OK, finally starting to upload some pictures of what I'm hoping to sell at my table in the Minnie mart at Manchester. I'm putting them on Flickr. They are under Disney Brits at http://www.flickr.com/photos/dlpmikki/sets/72157623853773252/
Here is a rather fun piece with Minnie and Figaro:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/dlpmikki/4520508085/" title="Minnie Teaparty mirror-A by mikki.young@btinternet.com, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4029/4520508085_3b4fd93a6a.jpg" width="355" height="500" alt="Minnie Teaparty mirror-A" /></a>
If anyone has any characters, pieces they are after let me know via pm and I'll see if it's available! I'm going to have beanies, walt disney classic collection, signed books, artwork, disney stamp collections etc!

With just over a week to go I am starting to get a bit excited about this now ...... it will be great to meet up with everyone. I am a bit worried about Hazel and family who are still stranded in Orlando following the volcanic ash crisis, but hopefully they will find their way back in time :wizard:
What are everyone's plans for the Saturday?
We hope to go to the Trafford Centre for lunch on the Saturday, mooch around the shops a bit, check in at the Crowne Plaza, register at MouseMeets at 5pm, then head to the Hard Rock Cafe for dinner with friends.
After that we may see what is going on at the Mousemeets events and then have a few drinks in the evening.
Sunday: Hope to bump into lots of DISers at MouseMeets :woohoo::woohoo: and do some pin trading :yay:
As we are still in orlando and now having to take a roadtrip to Atlanta to get home I think that this will be too much for us next weekend. I'm sorry I won't get to meet you all but maybe next time.
I've let Adam know so if anyone needs two tickets.....
Have lots of fun

We should be arriving at Manchester somewhere around 2:00 on Saturday, depending on how long we stop for on the way up. First off we will be checking in at the Premier Inn, then finding our way round to the Crowne Plaza to register at 5:00. Find somewhere for a quick bite to eat then back for Disneybrit Live at 6:00 and a few drinks afterwards.
Sunday will be all the main events and meeting DISers
Monday we're hoping to meet up with my cousin, who we haven't seen in 5 years, her daughter, who we haven't seen in about 9 years and my cousin's husband, who we have never met, before setting off for the drive back to London.
Getting more excited by the day! :cool1:

We'll be getting to our hotel for check in at 2pm and then we'll chill out around Manchester and hopefully find the Crowne Plaza for registration at 5pm.
I think we'll hang around there for the presentation and then head off later for our tea before crashing out for the evening :)
Sunday looks great, we're looking forward to meeting up with you all! :thumbsup2
