tree skirt pattern

I need a patten for a two toned tree skirt. Im making it in purple and blue for my grandmother and its gatta be two toned cause I dont have enough of one color. ANy patterns or advice?

Have you thought about sewing it in strips?

Make triangles around the circle. Need to use the geometry stuff I hated, but every other triangle is a different color. You could quilt it or just leave it... They sold really well at the Christmas Bazaar when the kids were little... :)
