I'm so excited for this film. It's been too long since we've seen what Disney can really do with there animated features.

We'll be catching it sometime this weekend as well. Really excited, as it's been awhile since there's been an 'epic' animated Disney film. They did a bit of the music from the movie when we went to see Disney on Ice. It was great!~

My benchmark movie is Beauty And The Beast, and this movie did not meet that benchmark. However, it was a good movie and the kids in the theater loved it. My 9 year old, which is the target market, said this is her favorite Disney movie. She said it was better than Beauty.

We saw it yesterday! It was awesome! I have to say it ranks right up there with The Little Mermaid, Beauty & The Beast and The Lion King. It is already a Disney classic in my book! And I  Ray!

I saw it yesterday. It was great! There were points in the movie that I wanted to openly applaud, but I had to restrain myself as my family surely would have disowned me.

I just got back from seeing it with 250 of our school kids. I thought it was a fabulous movie! The kids who were with me were 6-7 years old. They were really cracking up throughout the whole thing. I did hear a couple of kids say that it was "scary" when it was over. They didn't like the shadow voodoo people.
On another note: Did anyone see the name of the band playing on stage at the end of the movie? The name is written on the bass drum on the drumset. It is a play on the name of the classic Disney Dixieland Band from the early days: Firehouse Five Plus Two. I won't give away the name that was in the movie- this gives you something to look for. :)

I saw it on Sat night. I really enjoyed it! I thought the animation was great, plot was good, not TOO predictable, and the characters were awesome!!! There was a survey team outside of our theater handing out surveys but we walked into the theater too quickly to get one. Did anyone else experience this??

Just returned from a Disney Wonder cruise and got to see The Princess and the Frog on opening day aboard the ship. Everyone enjoyed it. We also got to see Anika Noni Rose, the voice of Tiana as the narrator at the Candlelight Processional on 12/6. She was excellent.

We have a Christmas tradition of going to see a movie on Christmas and this was our pick. I loved it. Great story line, great music, great charactors, and not too predictable story line. My 5 year old DD loved it too, she said it wasn't too scary. Raymond is definately a likeable character. I would recomend this to anyone, go see it for the feel good story that Disney does better than anyone.

YES!
I put myself on the reserve list for the P&F soundtrack on the first copy to come to the New York Public Library, and I just was notified that it's "In Transit" to my local branch for me. Sweet!

My wife and I saw it last night, and we both really enjoyed it!
Considering that the last hand-drawn, feature animation release was Home on the Range, I think this was a PHENOMENAL return to the medium!!! :)
My only beef was the music. I am just NOT a Randy Newman fan. It was a'ight - but not great. I wish they had brought in Alan Menken - but I'm EXTREMELY biased. I LOVE Alan Menken.

We saw this a little before Christmas and thought it was absolutely great!! The characters all had a bit of depth and were actually remember-able after the movie was done. Raymond was hilarious and I absolutely LOVED the Shadow Man!~ (though he really should have been voiced by like Billy Dee Williams or something. That would have been totally epic!)
Overall great music, great story, and a great time. I can't wait for this one to come out on DVD! Good job Disney!!~

Just got back from seeing it. DS4, DD2 and I all loved it! DS liked the shadow man (think he likes to be a little scared). I loved the music, rang pretty true to N.O. sound. I see a Disney Movie Club purchase i the near future!
