I am going on this cruise with my two friends. We have been trying to find a time when we could all go and I think this one works the best for everyone. I have been on DCL seven times but this will be the first cruise for both of them. I am 22 and my friends will be 22 and 21 when we sail.

This will be our first time there so we are wondering what to do. :confused3 We thought maybe we'll just wing the day and then head to the ship. My DH spent about 7 or 8 winter breaks in the bahamas in the 70's. Do you have any suggestions? We figured maybe the glass bottom boat ride, taxi to paridise island and then walk around shop and get a drink at senior frog... :) :rotfl: I would love any help from the season cruisers~:yay:

I have been lurking on the boards about mangents popcorn:: I really think this a great idea to decorate our door. I will be celebrating two things this curise We will be celebrating our 15 year Wedding Anniversary that was on 2/25 and 2nd I will be finished with my Associates Degree,:banana: 1 week before we cruise. Two long years of hardwork and its not over I will be starting my BA the Monday after I finish.
Do you have any suggestions on what to put on my DOOR we are also DVC member since 1996 our 1st year Anniversary gift (paper:flower3:) I am getting so excited!!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Weight Watcher! I have on it for a year now and have geat success. :goodvibes. We have all started eating more whole and raw foods. FE is the fish extender exchange, you can look them up on her and buy them on e-bay if your not feeling crafty. Basically you just drop trinket type gifts in each others extenders. It is alot of fun and the kids really seem to enjoy it, if you are interested just let me know and I will add you to our list:goodvibes

My name is Gina and I will be cruising with my friend Kerry. We will be celebrating her 40th b-day which will technically be on March 21. This is the first time we will be sailing w/o our husbands (and Kerry's children), so it will be a little new for us!! BUT...we are looking forward to having some fun in the sun! We are both DVC members. We are in a Cat 5 at the moment and our room# is 7072. We may switch it down to a Cat 6 - but we are booking a little late in the game, so we both weren't too happy with the room choices at this juncture! I am from Connecticut and she is from Long Island, NY. We will be in the second dining rotation. This will be my 6th DCL and I'm not sure how many for her - maybe 3 or 4?

I've done a few....we all only delivered gifts to each cabin once. Some gave family gifts and some gave individual? I think it is totally up to you, don't stress this is just for the fun of it! The gifts can be anything homemade or store bought...I received candies, asprins, rubber duckies, pens & pencils, beads, and all kinds of other tricket type things...Let me know if you want me to add you to the list. I've been putting the childrens ages, because of the gifts...once I gave teddygrams to the little ones so they didn't feel left out:lovestruc

I ordered some FE Goodies and I am making my own FE. I am not crafty but have some pretty crafty friends who have offer to help me. I am totally going against the "Disney" grain and going for a Sea theme. I hope it comes out awesome so I don't regret that decision.

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I spent it in the woods camping with 115 5th graders! It was a lot of fun (minus the :sick: sick kids). :teacher:

I am super excited about the FE. My stuff just started to arrive! But I am actually super duper giddy about the FE itself. It is designed by me and handcrafted by friends. It is not disney but sea I thought that would work.
I am all up for a meet. I think it would be fun to meet everyone. How does that work? We meet in the ship at a certain time certain place etc??

We are near the edge of PA, next to Phillipsburg/Easton. We have a lot of farm land too, but they keep building houses EVERYWHERE I don't know where the people are coming from? and then we also have a lot of warehouses/distribution center (Walgreen's, Nestle, The Home Depot)

I have head that the water is very drinkable from what I have read on disboards. The website said this "While cruising, Disney ships convert sea water to fresh water for use onboard. An onboard desalinization plant produces nearly 500,000 gallons of fresh water every day" (http://www.disneycruisenews.com/AssetDetail.aspx?AssetId=d953bf1d-fea5-4fbe-b555-d434d25e2353). I was thinking they make the ice and water at the dining tables use that same water cant be bad. You could maybe bring a refillable bottle and used the soda machine water button? I'm getting so excited!

In response to the water onboard question... I didn't know about the converting process (which is cool), but DH and I have brought refillable water bottles and just filled them at the drink stand. That seemed to work well. I wouldn't want to have to carry a case of water around while waiting for the room. (just my opinion though) :)

I have started making my packing list if that counts. Since we are driving down and doing it two days I am trying to plan on doing laundry on the ship so I don't have to pack 8+ outfits. I don't even know what the suitcase limit is but I am not a switch my outfit twice a day kind of girl anyway.

I thought the mat and a pillow case were really cheap souvienrs. From what I have read you get pillowcases, photo mats and markers and you leave them with the front desk and the characters sign them.

We dropped off an 11 x 14 Mat, with a 5 x 7 photo opening in it, and it worked well. There are lots of signatures on it!! (We took our own photos and put them inside) but you can buy disney photos (5x7 & 8x10) :flower3::yay:

Last year when we sailed we had people who booked 2 weeks before we sailed. Most of us had planned to have extras and it was a good thing. While we never officialy said the list was close most of us knew. We only had about 10 cabins so I added 2 extra to everthing I made. But I do know other sailings they call a final list at 30 days prior at lot of those are where they have a very large amount of staterooms. Also I really think it to depends on what everyone is doing if you have to order your items or print them etc then maybe as a group we should decide the cut off point.

The turn around is about a week. So I could send them to you through USPS, and they would be there before the cruise. Or I will be at the port early and can give them to you then! (or drop them off before the first night in your FE, so you have them for the meet!!)

I can order adult and kid sizes, so everyone in the family can match. Of course they would be in lime green (or neon green b/c it glows in the dark). If anyone has any interest, please let me know.

If I order 20 or more, then it would be $2 a bracelet. (+ a little to ship to you)

I know this is late notice, but I think that it can be done, and it's a good souvenir.

Just thought I'd ask. I know I said Tuesday... but I'm holding out one more day! (The arrival estimate is for Monday) So, either way... it's going to be Monday. I'm placing the official order tomorrow as soon as I get home.

I've had some interest in the bands, but I have to order a few extras to make the numbers work. Anybody have an idea if ordering 6 med, 6 large and 2 child extras would be okay? Do you think others (atleast a few) might have interest, but just havn't checked the board? (should I order more?)

We also are booked for dinner at 7:30 at Palo on Night 2. Are we all meeting that day? I wonder if we could meet at the port around 11:30. They start calling names at noon, so maybe 11:30 will work for everyone...

We should be at the port by 10:30 my goal is to leave orlando no later than 9:30. We normally stop and eat but I told DD and DH they can eat when we get on the ship. They will be nice and ready to eat!

Sometimes the terminal starts to get a little crazy around 11:30 but I say who ever is there we should all meet.
