I'm 16, and i dont even have my permit yet! All of my friends who are younger then me have theirs, and are like my personal chauffers (sp?) My parents have this great rule that says i need to pass summer school before i can get my permit. I still drive the car though even without my permit. My dad sits right next to me so it looks like i am just practicing with my dad. IM THE REBEL hehe marissa

I got my Permit a month ago. And now i just have 3 more months of my permit and 34 more hours to drive with my parents (out of 40 hours) and THEN i can get my lisences...

This takes way to LONG... i wish you only had to have your permit for 2 weeks and then you go your lisences!

Well New Jersey is stupid and you can't get your license until you're 17 (and now it's changed to 18), so I've only had mine for a little over a year.

I've had my license for almost a year and my car for almost 6 months. Down here you can get your permit when you're 15 but you have to have it for a year and get your parents to sign off for 50 driving hours. It's a new law and I got my permit and license before it went in to effect, luckily.

:p Today I just aced my road test and driver's ed final!!! I'll be 16 in September! But in WA you can't drive alone for about 6 months, then you can only have family in the car & then for another 6 months before you can cruise w/ friends!:( So by the time I can have friends in my car, my 17 bday will be not to far off.
Is it like that any where else? Have a Spiffy day!!!

I can get my temps (permit...doesn't anyone else call it temps? or is that just here?) on September 17th, and if I get them then, I can get my license in march.:Pinkbounc

most of my friends already have their temps and are getting their license in the fall.:( but that's okay because my friend told me he's gonna drive me to and from school.:)

yeah, everyone here calls it temps too.

I got my license last February. And There's this rule now were you can't drive w/more than 1 person in the car for 9 months after you get your license. *sigh* only a few more months! :)

I got my permit last July and my liscense (sp?) 4 days after my bday (feb 4th) and on august 8th i will finally be allowed to drive my friends (dumb parental rule). I don't get my own car until after college tho :(. But I can still drive!

REBEL HERE HEHE in CA i guess the law is you can't drive with anyone for the first 6 months after you have your lisnce, but do you think i listen to that one?? The same day my friend got his lisence he drove me home. It is like that law doesn't even apply to anyone here, i love it!

i get my permit, in November..finally! But, its gonna take 4ever to get my 50 hrs. in..cuz theirs 2 of us, thats of 100hrs! lol.

I get my license on August 24th. I can't wait. I already have my car though, it's a Baltic Blue 95 Toyota Supra. It's kinda anoying though. Everyone thinks they are all cool after watching the fast and the furious and always come up next to me and rev their engines, which is pretty dang anoying. Oh well, I guess thats what comes with owning a Supra.

i get my permit in 2 weeks and then i have another year of driving with my parents before i can get my lisence...but we dont have a certain amout of hours we have to drive or anyting like that and after we get it we can drive with our friends or whatever...i guess that is the only good thing bout living in Alabama
