I saw somewhere that pins are sometimes targeted at specific regional areas so I am wondering if any Canadians (and what parts of Canada) have received pins recently (or ever).

I am from Ontario, Canada,

We received a 40% off PIN via e-mail and used it for our upcoming stay at WL. However, after we booked, we saw that they opened up that discount to the general public. So, if you are looking for a similar deal, you might want to check it out.

And, I'm in Atlantic.

You don't really need a PIN code right now, as I mentioned above. You can simply take advantage of the general public discount WDW is offering now. I just received a flyer for it in the mail and had read about prior to that on Mousesavers.com.

I'm in Ontario and we received a pin in the mail the pin offer wasn't that great. It was the 30%/35%/40% offer that another above poster mentioned.

I'd love a free dining pin code :) as it seems to be the best deal for our family.

Hey that 30/35/40% is still a great deal! I wouldn't poo poo it !!

I got two pins -- the above mentioned 30-40% but it is only good until June, and another for 40% and free kids for a Cruise, that covers our panned vacation time, but we don't want to go on a cruise (I have a deathly phobia about open water)...

I agree. We got this deal and it saved us a ton of money. A deluxe for $140/night. Can't beat that!

I live in Ontario and I got a 40% off for delux back at the beginning of October. Used it to book the Poly for our DD's 6th B'day. We go for 1wk in May.:cool1: Haven't stayed at the Poly since I received a code back in 1998:rotfl2:

I'm in Manitoba.

I have received PIN's via email and in snail mail.

I haven't received the one circulationg now but I still have my fingers crossed! My main man would love to stay at the Contempo, but without a PIN or winning the lottery it's just not in the cards right now.

Wish me luck!;)

Vancouver, BC and have had a few pins but only for DL, where we do not go, and none recently for DW, where we go! Had one in the past for DW but it was only for values if I remember correctly. Not for the deluxes we stay at. It's like they think if we are coming all that way we only want a value...not too accomodating, but what can you do:confused3

Almost always get something if I requst the planning DVD or go on line and save a vacation itinerary.

Cheers,

So what have your strategies been in attempting to get a pin? I know there's no guarantee, but I'm interested if there's any unique ways that might differ for Canadians or if it's just the saving the itinerary and navigating around on the site and talking to CMs...

I haven't saved an itinerary, wandered around the site very much, or talked to too many CMs but each year I get a PIN. I think that so long as you are signed up for all the Disney Destinations correspondence and go to WDW annually, you're in the running. That's just my theory, though. I could be wrong.

I got a pin yesterday!!:banana::banana:

It is the 30/35/40.

I registered at the WDW site, saved vacations, did surveys and talked to CM's.

I got a 30/35/40 pin too, just for Canadians, but it worked out better to do the 4/3 deal... or so I thought! There's another thread here where someone is claiming that the discount applies to the dining plan too??!!?? Can anyone confirm this?

mom4463

When we booked our room the CM told me that the 4/3 deal is better and if it is extended we can apply the difference to our package. As far as I know this discount cannot be applied to the dining plan, it is for rooms only.

It's a room-only discount.

I'm in BC and received 2 pins via. email in the past 2 months and 1 via. snail mail for DLR.

We applied the 40% off pin code to our reservation and were happy - the only thing was that one of our nights was excluded. Then the room only deal came out and included all of our nights so we switched and saved a little bit of $$.

And while it is ROOM ONLY just as our Pin was - we were able to convert room only to a package, add dining plan and park tickets (at full price).
