I like planning! I have a few OCD things that I've been doing in preparation of our wedding like my day by day schedule of the 22 days were spending in Orlando and the pie chart of my wedding budget.
Oh the fun of being me! Wes thinks I'm crazy although he's starting to get it as we get closer...
The excell sheet for all our ADR confirmation #'s
the shopping list for what we'll need to buy at wall-mart while we have the car...
Yes I'm into the nitty gritty details and I'm still only booking the wedding tomorrow (today for all ya'll on the east coast).

So when are you booking it for? I love reading PJ's for organised brides, makes me think I can do it myself...

The wedding will be (my how excited I was I forgot to mention the date) 8.9.10 August 9th 2010 at the Wedding Gazebo at noon with dinner at Victoria and Albert's to follow.

So I spoke with Diane (a wedding consultant) today to confirm that we have our date and we sent her back all of the information for our Letter of Agreement! I can't wait until we get the packette where we'll pick the cake and flowers and everything I already know what I want.
Burgundy Calla Lillies for my bouquet
Burgundy Calla Lilly for Wes' boutineer
Cream Calla Lillies for my sister's bouquet
Cream Calla Lilly for Wes' brother's boutineer
Chocolate cake with bavarian cream and fresh raspberry filling.
We have already contact Ron Rosenszweig (sp?) to officiate.
The only thing I'm not sure of yet is which design I want the cake to be.

For my hair I have very thick very long curly hair, I'm going to wear it down and just have my sides pinned back with a comb/tiara (though why they call it a tiara when it goes on the back of my head I have no idea) it has lovely red flowers in it to go with the red in my gown http://www.alfredangeloca.com/Collections/ProductDisplay.aspx?style=2010 with accents in claret (I cannot make pictures work they always come out broken, links are my friend! :rotfl:) I am probably going to be very hot with all my hair down my back but it will be very pretty.
I am having my hair and makeup done at Mandara at the Dolphin the morning of with a trial a few days before (YAY for flying in 4 days before the wedding)
I really wish I could figure out how to post my charts and day-byday planner. Anyone know how to put in a link or a picture of an excell spreadsheet?

I went dress shopping way before I was able to confirm my date as I wanted my mom to be a part of the experience and we now live on opposite sides of the country :) My parents were in town for a long weekend at the beginning of September so my mom, my sister and I went dress shoping while my dad and DF went golfing :)
We went to this little salon where the owner was so nice and patient while I tried on about 5 dresses. I went back and forth for a while between this dress http://www.alfredangeloca.com/Collections/ProductDisplay.aspx?productID=63393ac1-cc62-4aab-8be8-ca5beef27f62&categoryID=26a40f9c-665a-4eab-ab51-15ace221eddc&pg=1 (with the accent in claret) but we decided we like the colour at the top and bottom of the dress so we went with this dress http://www.alfredangeloca.com/Collections/ProductDisplay.aspx?style=2010 again with the accents in claret.
We had an appointment at another salon but we were so happy with the dress and my sister's friend had not had the best experience with the other salon so we bought the dress and went for lunch :cloud9:

I have already picked our hotel for the guest (heck I've already got them booked) that's because we have only our imediate family and grandmothers coming to the wedding.
I work for Starwood Hotels so I got AMAZING rates at the Sheraton Vistana Villages for the 2 bedroom suites (109 a night!!) so each of our families will stay in a suite. It's cheaper than renting a house and we will all meet at the YC for the wedding. They may also stay at the Swan or the Dolphin as I get great rates there too but nothing can really beat only needing one room per family.

I'm only palnning a very few extras.
We will not have any floral for the Gazebo, I think it's gorgeous as is and I'm streching my budget for the 3 weeks we'll be spending in Disney.
I will be getting a bridesmaid's bouquet for my sister and a boutinier for DF's brother.
We've also decided on a singel white rose for Df's mother to carry to symbolize the brother that DF lost about 10 years ago. I never knew his brother and I don't want his mom and dad to get too emotional at the wedding as they have had a very hard time with W's passing. I know it's imprtant to DF to do something for his brother that day but I don't want it to overshadow the joy the day should be about.
I'm really unsure about what to do for DF's brother... I don't really want to acknowledge the loss because I want the day to be about begginings not endings but I don't want to offend his family. Does anyone have any experience with a lost sibling and how to have them be a part of the day?
I think I'm more unsure because I'm really not close to his family. We moved across the coutry from our families but my family is very tight nit. My parents have visited us about once every six months (my sister also lives out west (actually in the same condo building we do) so they come to see us all), but DF's parents have only been out once in the 3 and a half years we're lived here and then for only 3 nights. We've only made it home about 4 times but they won't even drive the 4 hours to see us if we fly in to see my mom and dad.
Our parents have never met and I don't think that they will be meeting before the wedding. I'm also not sure if that's going to be awkward. I've asked my dad to do the toast at the cake and champagne toast as he knows us the best.
Ah well, c'est la vie, right?

THANKS!!! I LOVE red so I knew I was going to have red in my dress, I nearly went for an entirely red dress but we all loved this one when I tried it on.
I've been planning since about June last year when I brought the idea up to my parents and they  it which kinda shocked me but I'm so happy we can actually do stuff now :goodvibes
I'll post pics (or links as I have SUCH good luck with pics see above) of the shoes I ordered to go to go with my dress. They're higher heels than I had planned but I really like them and they were on clearance

So I got the shoes I ordered and they're really pretty. I don't have a photo of them yet but as soon as I do I'll post it here. (if of course I can actually make it work fingers crossed)
We also went to Michaels and I had WAY too much fun picking out stuff to make our invitations with.
I have never been a scrapbooker but OMG I could spend WAY too much money there if I was... and I think I'm going to have to make a scrapbook for the wedding as there is too much stuff I would love to buy there.

You are so organized! Congrats on engagement...it's hard when you are not close with DF family...I have the same issue....your attitude of c'est la vie is the best to have because we can't do anything to change them. It is definitely frustrating and difficult at times thought, I know first hand.
I look forward to following your progress! Happy new year!!

No real updates as I am waiting to hear from Disney after the Holidays for my planner. I want to let them know I'm also going to have Randy photographing the wedding (hopefully) before I book Randy.
I received a call just before Christmas from the LeJeunes so they are definate for hair and makeup for my sister and me and I'll have to send them a deposit in the first few weeks of the New Year:scared1: (where did my money go???)
We have sent a deposit to Ron Rosenzweig for the ceremony with a hopeful change to his standard ceremony. So that's mostly paid for. I got an email from him today confirming he had received the money order. Which is good as I had forgotten to keep my part of the money order :headache: and if it got lost we wouldn't be able to trace it... well at least I'm pretty right?
Now to hit the gym before the wedding dress store opens in about a week so the dress looks even better :goodvibes

I was bored at work so I thought I'd post a little about us as I realize everyone else has. Whoops too excited about planning to tell about the people :rolleyes1
I'm 24 and DF is 29 (30 in Feb). We met in Ottawa where we were both going to college, he is from the Niagra falls area (or that's where he did most of his growing up) and I'm born and raised in Ottawa. We had to volunteer at a function for one of our classes so we were helping pass out a toast for a theater's anniversary and went out for drinks after.
He asked my friend Sam (yes I know) for my number but as he was exiting a turbulent relationship at the time she wouldn't give it to him. The next semester we had ALL of our classes together so we started hanging out and then dating. We moved across the country and in together about 7 months later and have been together in calgary ever since!
And now for the porposal...
We were going to spend a long weekend in Wistler and Vancouver and the day before we were leaving I checked our (joint) credit card to make sure it was all paid off before we left. I started freaking out as there was a charge from a jewlery store I hadn't been to in almost a year on the card. He pulled me aside (we were both at work - we worked together at the time) and told me I had ruined the surprise and pulled out a ring box. :rolleyes1
Yeah;) I don't think I'm going to have many surprises... but maybe he'll surprise me!

I had been looking into Disney Weddings for a while before we were actually engaged. Once we were engaged we started talking about locations and we were thinking about a Vegas wedding (as the hotel that I work for also runs the Planet Hollywood resort there) and I said hey then we can honeymoon in Disneyland, but you know it's small so then maybe we can go to Disney World for the rest of the honeymoon. Then DF utteres the words that made my dream come true, "why don't we jsut get married at disney world".
Done! and the rest is history, or at least my PJ.

Your engagement story sounds like something I would pull, I completley contol DF's money! lol. I pay all his bills and always know his account balances! I know it's a little overbearing, but he's a little shall we say irresponsible with money. Dinner at Victoria and Albert's sounds so nice. I haven't came across any other disbrides doing that after. Will you and your guests just be having dinner, or will there be dancing, cake, etc.? Can't wait to here more!

HI! I thought I'd stop by here after I saw your comment on my TR. Congrats and it looks like you're moving right along with your plans.
You'll love Patricia, she is great. If you're not having a trial run, be sure to bring inspiration pics from magazines or the internet. I actually took my pictures to my own hairstylist and discussed them with her and asked " so what do I tell the lady @ disney, what words do I use in hair stylist lingo?" I told Patricia exactly what my stylist said, and my hair came out perfect.:thumbsup2
ANother tip- to get the most bang for your buck. You said you're using Randy. We had to okay it with him first, but so as not to lose the Disney photographer we got with the escape package we used him as primary and Regina as the secondary. She focused on photojournalisitc shots of the ceremony and the guests. Not all outside photographers are okay with having a disney photographer there as well, but Randy is. So when you discuss photography with your planner, you might want to see if you can keep your Dis photographer while also using Randy! Then, when you talk to him make sure he is still okay with doing this.
And as for commemorating a lossed loved one... we didn't mention ours in the ceremony, but we did mention them in our program. We made our own, and on the last page there was a "we remember" section. My younger sisteer was listed there along with DH's grandfathers, my grandfather and uncle. It worked out well. One thing I've seen before is people have had photographs of loved ones on a side table with a vase of flowers at the ceremony.
Just some thoughts. Good luck and enjoy the planning!:goodvibes

It was my only chance for a slightly evil twin moment!

I am doing a trial on Friday before the wedding and I do plan on talking to my hairstylist here before as well. As you can tell from the pictures I have a LOT of hair.

We are using both Randy and Disney's photographer with Disney's photographer doing the photojournalistic style just like you did.

I think we're now doing an empty chair with an extra bouquet on it for everyone who can't make it, living and dead. I stole the idea from a pj I read (can't remember who's sorry!) We're not doing any programs as there will only be 8 guests total an I really don't want to name names as I want the day to be as much about happy and us as it can be... not sure if that's selfish but I cry trying to explain what I want to do for those not present and I want to cry as little as possible on my wedding day!

Tomorrow (today according to the time post on my post :lmao:) is my ADR booking day... well it's my first ADR booking day, then I have another one as I am there for 5 nights at the YC then 18 nights at Pop, and then I'm not sure if I can do mroe than 1 booking a day or if I'll have to do the last 8 days day by day... we'll see.

I booked my ADRs this morning for the first part of my trip. The online system let me book for 10 days so I was able to book:
Aug 5: Flying Fish for the evening we arrive (trying to stay close to home)
Aug 6: Cape May Cafe for breakfast before we go get the marriage license.
Les Chefs De France for dinner that night
Aug 7: Rose and Crown for an informal meet and greet and fireworks
Aug 8: Jiko for the rehersal dinner
Aug 9: Victoria and Albert's Chef's Table for the wedding dinner!!!!:cheer2: (I'm so happy we got it!!)
Aug 11: Tusker House for lunch
Aug 12: Le Cellier
Aug 13: Breakfast at the Crystal Pallace at 8am before the park opens
Lunch (late) at the GF Cafe and then the dessert party if (when please when) they bring it back
Aug 14: Tokyo Dining fo lunch (Sushi!!)
Aug 15: Breakfast at Tusker House before the park opens
I wanted to book the Fantasmic dinner Pkg for that night at the Brown Derby but when I called she said the syetem wouldn't let her book it because our first stay is only 5 nights... whatever I'll just have to book it in 5 days when my next ADR booking date open up.
Edit: Blanks filled!

So we were able to take advantage of the new rooms discounts that were just released for August. This is awesome as it saves us $700 on the YC for the first 5 nights and $500 dollars on Pop for the next 18. We did have to split our reservation so I had to put down another deposit but we got the discount for our whole stay! :cheer2:

More dining reservations are made now as well we have:
Aug 16: Keys to the Kingdom tour
Dinner at Cali Grill
Aug 17: 50s Prime Time Cafe for lunch
Aug 20: Lunch with and Imagineer at the Brown Derby
I'll be going online tomorrow morning to book somemore dining and hopefully get the Fantasmic Dinner Pkg sorted out as well. Wish me Luck!:wizard:
EDIT***
Well the Brown Derby is still not working for the Fantasmic Dinner package so I went ahead and booked Mama Melrose for the show on Aug 15th.
Aug 21: Lunch at Coral Reef
Dinner at San Angel Inn
Aug 22: Teppan Edo for dinner
Aug 23: Yak and Yeti for an earlyish lunch
Late show of the Hoop De Doo Review (so we will be able to have the TiW discount)
Only a few more days of dining to book, too bad I can only do them a day at a time.

I was going to use the free one from weddingbells.ca (a Canadian wedding magazine) but there were so few designs to choose from, then I came across the post on the main wedding board about wedding websites and www.mywedding.com I loved all the different backgrounds so I signed up and made one. I also kind of chuckled about your "overplanning"...I have a master spreadsheet with things like guest list, budget, and wish list stuff, along with $$ spent so far (although I think i might eliminate this cause i'm not sure I really want to know what the extras add up to)... separate from that I have my DVC spreadsheet which outlines about 18 different possible combinations of points/trips going out to 2013....PLUS I have color coded schedules made in word (in waltograph font) for myself, my sister's family, my mom, and 2 of my friends that are coming...:rotfl:

That is about where I am, I have a colour coded budget spreadsheet with pie chart :scared1: a master plan for each day and a separate spreadsheet with all of our ADR numbers, a shopping list for Wal-Mart for the items we can't fly, a spreadsheet with park hours and EMH... yeah and then there are the ways to budget for DVC, the trips to Disneyland and the cruises I have planned.

I booked all of the ladies for the first tea of the afternoon at the GF for the day of the rehearsal dinner. I don't think we're going to order very much food as I booked dinner at 6 that evening so that I could be in bed early for the 8am hair and makeup appointment for the wedding day. Plus I'm in mountain time so that's 6am my time (ouch!) so I wanted to try to have sleep the night before.
I mainly booked it as I want to have some things planned in case I can't figure out what to talk to FMIL about while hanging with my mom and sister. They boys will be fine as they're golfing which gives them something to talk about. Plus DF likes my dad, I don't really know his mom.

I talked to Rosie today and sent her the pictures I have as inspiration for the memorial chair. I am just using the calla lily bouquet for myself so not too much to really plan their, except that the burgundy colour of the flowers has to be more red than purple as my dress has red in it. For the memorial chair we're having a single large calla lily with some banana leaves tied with a red ribbon the same colour as the red in my dress, and I know it will be the same red as when I said that the red in my dress was Alfred Angelo's claret Rosie said she had the Alfred Angelo samples so she can match it exactly :thumbsup2
The one thing we added to my bouquet was rather than have just ivory ribbon wrapped around the stems to weave a red ribbon in as well so that it looks like corset laces. I LOVE this idea as the one thing I would change about my dress is that I always wanted a corset back on my dress :goodvibes I love corsets, so now at least my flowers will have a corset look to them.

The girls tea sounds good and a great time with FMIL. I get on well with my mine but we don't get to see each other very much as they live in Florida and we live in Arlington, Virginia. But we talk on the phone and get on Skype. I too have to think up something for the day before the wedding as the men are going to play golf like yours. I'll work that out once I get most of the big stuff done for the wedding.
I love the idea of the red intertwined red ribbon to match your dress on your bouquet.
The cala lilly tributes on a memorial chair will be lovely. I have to decide on if I want a tribute/memorial for my parents at the service. I'm not sure the flowers on a memorial chair will be as effective at the Wedding Pavillion with the benches. I have seen an engraved glass candle cylinder and then I could keep that afterwards for times I want to pay a tribute to them. The pictures I have seen have it on a column with flowers at the wedding pavillion off to the side of the altar table. I'll discuss with my coordinator.
I am in awe of your ADR's :woohoo:
Have you decided on the music for day yet?
TinkLoverSam
03-19-2010, 10:25 PM
I have decided on the music but I'm at work and don't remember everything I have planned. I know I'm coming in to Beauty and the Beast, my sister (MOH) is walking in to A Whole New World, I can't remember the rest exept that the first dance is going to be Kiss the Girl from the Little Mermaid :)

Congratz on the upgrade....the last few trips I made to POP, although I LOVE the place, I requested a king sized bed....was told "no problem" and then checked in to find that there were none available....for some reason as I get a bit older I start to appreciate a queen or king sized bed soooooo much more!
My mom and I debated long and hard on which moderates to try last year before and after our cruise, we decided on CBR instead of CS, but I have always wanted to check out CS...the photos online are great! Make sure you "stop and smell the roses", and enjoy the grounds!

They just released new AP discounts for Summer Nightastic! We were able to get a 40% discount for our stay at the YC (instead of 35%) and 35% off of our first (as we had to split the reservation to get the original discount) reservation at CS. My mom feels bad that there will be so few guests at out wedding, especially since neither of my grandmothers can make it, so she has started inviting family friends to attend. I don't really mind but my DF is a little POed as one of his cousins wanted to come but I was afraid that if one cousin (of the 25 or so that he has, all first) the rest would be pissed that they weren't told they could come so I had told him it might be better if she did not attend. I want to tell my mom that it's fine if they come to Florida but I don't want to piss off his family by having them come to the ceremony, they already know they aren't invited to dinner (as the 10 of us already fill the chef's table at v&as) but she and my dad are out of town right now and I can't get ahold of them.

I remember reading somewhere that they like to keep the Chef's Table at 8 or under but that it can hold 10 and we will be 10 at dinner, besides I can't really afford another $200 a person to pay for their dinners!

It's so hard waiting to hear the costs, huh? I had my consultation with Rosie last week, and she said right now they are working to get the BEOs done for MAY weddings! I will have a heart attack if I have to wait till 2 or 3 months before to find out my total costs...not that I don't have a pretty good estimate in my head, but the real deal is often different than an estimate!
Good Luck!

For flower prices... as I had asked Amy about them she did contact Rosie who didn't have the formal BEO but gave her price estimates so:
bridesmaid bouquet: $125
best man boutenier: $25
memorial chair arragement: $35 (I was floored it was so low, it's just a white large calla whith some banana leaves but... :yay:)
I am somewhat concerned about if we get moved inside because of rain we will have absolutely nothing to decorate the room... Here comes another look at the budget to see if we want to add anything

I am a VERY big fan of the Disney Mom's Panel and I have asked quite a few questions. Once I started trying to figure out where to have the rehearsal dinner and dinner after the ceremony I started asking Doug most of my questions as he is a really big foodie and has tried pretty much everywhere. My sister has also been asking him lots of questions and we both became friends with Doug on facebook.
I got a message from Doug today that said he had been talking to the lady who runs the Mom's Panel about us and they want to do a feature on my wedding for a promo for the Mom's Panel about their help.:happytv:
I could get a free taping of my wedding as we were not planning on having it recorded just the pictures.
Any thoughts? I think we're going to go for it!

I am currently scowering (sp? you know what I mean) the web for MOB and MOG outfits. I know my mother will look lovely but I really want her in a dress rather than a suit. There is an AA MOB dress that I think she would look lovely in
http://i990.photobucket.com/albums/af28/samahen/MOBdress.jpg
(obviously not in black though) it's knee length and I really like it but it's so hard to shop when we live across the country from each other.
For the MOG dress I'm thinking something like this:

But we're not that close and I'm MUCH less familiar with her style. I think she'd look great in it though.

I didn't want to ship the dress because I've heard that sometimes you end up paying additional fees due to the border crossing....and no one could tell me how much those fees were. My dress is huge and pretty heavy - but the bridal store says they pack pretty small...she said most bridal gowns, even the really big ones, can be packed into a carry-on box which will fit in the upper compartment of the plane.
BTW - love the MOB dress!

So my mom is going to a store in Ottawa that sells AA dresses to look at the dress I sent her. And the funninest part is she is also going to look at the one I posted as a possibility for the MOG as well, I know my mom's taste too well :rotfl:
I JUST got my disney wedding website from Amy. She was confused as she said normally your sales consultant sends that to you, but Diane did not send it to me :confused3 oh well we have it now and my parents bought their tickets off of it already. They said it was the best discount they could find.
I am really bored sitting at work :surfweb: there is not much doing at my hotel tonight....

I have not heard anything about the Mom's Panel feature so I am a little disapointed as I'm not sure it will be happening now :sad2: Still three months to go so we'll see...
In other news I got called in to work early today as one of the ladies went into labour last night :cutie: We have not heard from them yet (her husband also works at the hotel) so hopefully we'll hear if Sophie was born or not last night. So less than five hours of sleep later I'm at work a little dazed and confused :rolleyes1
I will be talking to my mom tomorrow morning about her dress shopping experience so we'll see how that went and then I gotta :laundy: when I get home tonight, ok I'll probably nap and do it with DF when he gets home from work a few hours later.

I GET TO HAE A MAGIC KINGDOM BRIDAL SHOOT!!!!!!
My grandmother is giving us enough of a wedding present that it will cover the cost of an MK/AK bridal shoot :goodvibes
I"m soooo happy that I get to have one. I never thought I would be able to afford it but... we're officially booked for August 11th with a 5am pick up.
Yeah that's the only slight downside... 5am. Good thing we don't have any real plans for the day after the wedding.

I ordered ties, pocket squares and a vest for the groom from www.dessy.com as I was starting to think that I didn't like the red shirts as much.
So DF and his brother will now be wearing white shirts with their black suits and they will both have red ties and pocket squares and DF will also have a red vest. I think they'll look great.
My mom has bought her MOB outfit she did end up getting an outfit from Alfred Angelo though none of the ones I posted on here she got the top from this one:
http://i990.photobucket.com/albums/af28/samahen/Wedding%20Stuff/MOBTop.jpg in the white
and the bottom from this one:
http://i990.photobucket.com/albums/af28/samahen/Wedding%20Stuff/MOBBottom.jpg
in the black.
I think it will look great.
We also ordered some customizable T shirts from www.disneyshopping.com they have Disney accross the front with a bunch of characters and across the back you get two lines of text so we got "Bride" or "Groom" across the top and the wedding date "August 9th, 2010" across the bottom. They are really cute we got them in a few different colours I will post pics after I get home from work this evening.

Well now DF's family seems to be coming down Saturday (probably won't go to the welcome dinner) leaving Tuesday the day after the wedding. I really thought that as we don't see them very ofter (ahem never ahem) that they might stay for a little and see us but... apparently not.

Here is my engagement ring:

Here is DF's ring:
http://i990.photobucket.com/albums/af28/samahen/Wedding%20Stuff/Disboardpictures009.jpg
it's a little hard to see but there are 6 small stones set in his ring.
I really wanted his ring to look like it went with mine and I wanted him to like it. We found this ring and we both really liked it and I liked that it had the little chanels where the stones were set so that it was sort of similar to mine.

I had the Cinderella D package as well, and I think it is a really great deal (I priced everything that comes with it individually, and this saved a lot, plus, I don't need to worry about getting all the prints and albums on my own).
Animal Kingdom is such an amazing place to get portraits done. DH and I are in love with our pictures from there. I didn't give them any direction, since I thought all of the park was so pretty, and we have such a great variety of shots!

In other news Patricia Lejeune is not available to do my hair and makeup because of another early Disney wedding on the 11th, so I don't know what I am going to do. I can do my own makeup but my hair... I want it to look special not the down I always do on my own... I don't own anything other than a blow dryer I don't use to style my hair with so I'm a little nervous.
I may see if one of the other companies has availability that morning to do my hair and makeup.

I have the form somewhere, but I believe it is 65 for hair (50 if it is short) and 50 for makeup (75 for airbrush). I am pretty sure those are correct, but I am going from memory so it could be a little off! Either way, their prices are great and I have heard so many good things about them.

I have now contacted Beauty Special and they happen to have a Spring Special on their website so that you can get hair and makeup for $100 so I have asked them to send me the contract. We do have to pay a $50 early morning fee as the appointment starts before 6am, way before. But oh well, I'll have pictures from the wedding and trial with Patricia to show them how want my hair... and maybe I'll wear my other tiara.

For anyone who doesn't know what the mom's panel is it is an "official" panel of moms (and dads) who answer questions about Disney World for people who may not be as familiar with it. They do everything from recommending dining locations to resorts and what to bring with you to the park. It's a pretty cool way to get more information about what to do at disney.

Check them out. You can also search the site to see if others have already asked your question.

So a few weeks ago while she was at work my sister saw this lady carrying this amazing purse, and since she knew I wanted a purse so I had ID and all the other fun and important things at dinner on the wedding night (so I can have the all important wine pairing) she asked her where she got it. The lady wasn't sure but said she'd ask her friend and let my sister know. A few hours later the lady handed her a card with the name, address and phone number for the store. It was called the Bhatia Cloth House. It's an Indian clothing and cloth store and the had the most amazing purses ever (and at amazing prices too)!
http://i990.photobucket.com/albums/af28/samahen/Wedding%20Stuff/058.jpg
This is the one that I will probably have with me for the dinner.
http://i990.photobucket.com/albums/af28/samahen/Wedding%20Stuff/057.jpg
and this is the one I couldn't resist so I said I'd carry it at my MK/AK photo shoot if my flowers didn't survive.
They were $13 for the bigger one and $8 for the smaller one. Who could resist? My sister got two as well and they are both gorgeous.
I also finally took pictures of my tiara/comb things so here is the original comb that I bought

We are also getting our immediate families personalized Mickey Ears for the wedding day as favours as well so we can get the awesome guest pictures of us all wearing our ears. I will post pics of the fans once I get the favour tags so you all can see the finished product.

I just called WDW PLAY to book a beachcombers shack at typhoon lagoon as a surprise for DF for the day after our MK/AK bridal shoot (it's a bit of an apology for the 5am ready time the day before) and I spoke with the Best Ever cast member. She was awesome and was supposed to get married at the Wedding Gazebo 15 years ago but there was torrential rainfall the day before and they got moved inside as they would have been in ankle deep mud outside. She said it was still lovely and she was simply fantastic.

There was only 1 minor heart attack moment when I saw that it said my MK/AK shoot was scheduled on Aug 7th instead of the 11th  but I emailed Amy and we got it all figured out. Somehow Rosie had it down as the 7th but it is available on the 11th so it's all changed back :confused3

That has got to be a relief. Did you start planning late? I would have thought that you would have had your BEO long before now - or was this just an updated one?
We were considering getting married on the day that you are, but a few family factors and things persuaded us to move it to September!
TinkLoverSam
07-12-2010, 07:32 PM
No I didn't start planning late I had the date penciled in on Aug 9th 2009 and booked it on December 9th 2009 the first day I could, we got the LOA right away but then it took awhile to get me a planner I called back a while after Jan 1st like "ah am I getting a planner?" and Amy called me back that day after that all was good but I emailed last week wondering when we would get the BEO as we were almost at our 30 day mark and no BEO. I sent it back today, a few days after the 30 mark but Amy said that would be fine as 95% of it was already paid and the BEO was so late in coming. :headache:
Oh well it's all done now.

It's really cool they are going to interview me about what types of things he helped me with and how the panel helped me make decisions and any events from the wedding weekend that I mention they will be filming as well. So dinner at the Rose and Crown followed by Illuminations, filmed, Girls Tea at the GF, filmed, Boys golfing, filmed, Jiko, filmed, the wedding, filmed, dinner at V&A's Chef's Table, filmed (if they can get permission) we are as yet unsure where the interview will take place, Hooly the producer mentioned Franck's but I was thinking somewhere closer to the YC/BC area so we shall see.

Wow that is nuts. I would absolutely lose it if I still didn't have a BEO a month before my wedding. Good thing you were on top of things and gave them a call.
The mom's panel feature sounds like it is going to be amazing! I hope that you have a great time with it!

I'll post a link to the video as soon as they post it and I forgot to mention that the producer said that they would give me a copy of the the raw footage of the wedding so we can edit it into a wedding video so yay I have videography for the wedding.
AND as I now know how to post documents on here (Thanks Judi!) I posted our Schedule and ADR spreadsheets in my first post.

I am having difficulties making an Etsy purchase I (or at least I thought) I bought some bride, bridesmaid and just married transfers to put onto a tank for me and my sister but they never showed. Even though the custom link shows the item was purchased my card was never charged and I have not received the transfers. Now it's 20 days till I leave for Disney and we're going back and forth over what happened. I don't care what happened I just want to get the darn things before I leave and there is no point in making the shirts (which I already bought shirts for!)

Did you try contacting the seller? The seller I used was very responsive to messages - although i just placed my order yesterday so I hope this doesn't happen to me too!!!

I have, she's been pretty responsive it's just frustrating as it was a custom order and you would think she might have noticed that it never got through... Hopefully I'll get them on time, she on vacation until Wednesday and will make them when she gets back I just REALLY hope I get them before we leave for Florida, no point in having a bridesmaid shirt for my sister after the wedding.

Come on down I really don't mind. It was really hard to find pictures of the location as it foesn't seem very popular but I love it! I can't wait only 17 days (16 on the East Coast) until I am in Disney :)

I am a little worried... I went to the Calgary Stampede on Subday and I got sunburnt with about 3 weeks to the wedding I am Praying that the red fades but even then I am going to have a really awkward tan as I had a button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up to my forearms and a tank top on... I also have a very clear watch line which includes little burns through the open links of my watch... We'll see how it goes lots of lotion and exfoliating in my future so I'm not peeling at the wedding.

Eek! Sunburns are no fun - especially 3 weeks before your wedding! You should be okay though if you put on lots of aloe and keep on top of it. I use Vichy's aftersun - it is milky and more like lotion than gel. It is expensive but it works like a charm - might be something you want to try.

Disney9.9.10 thank you sooo much I bought it Tuesday and a lot of the red is already out of the burns, I'll have some funny tan lines but it's better than matching the trim on my dress.
I contacted my Etsy seller about the shirts and she didn't think she would be able to get me the transfers in time. In desparation I contacted two other sellers and one from Vegas replied that it should take about a week to get the transfers to me so I placed an order with her instead I have my confirmation from Etsy and PayPal that everything worked this time so fingers crossed I get the tranfsers before I leave :cheer2:

Thanks I'm hoping for just a little more pixie dust that everything works out. If they are up to 2 days late my sister could get them and bring them with her, we live in the same condo building so she could check our mail a last time before she leaves... I'm almost confident that they will get here in time.

Friday night my girlfriends from work through me a surprise bachelorette party. It was a lot of fun but the people making the schedule had forgotten to give me the night off so I worked Thursday night until midnight, got about 5 hours of sleep because it takes a while to unwind after work and had to be back at work at 9am Friday and I went straight from work to a restaurant and then the bar until 2am. Needless to say Saturday was not going to be my brightest day at work and then we ended up being so short staffed I had the worst night of work in my entire life. :headache:
I did have a great time with the girls and they had a list of dares for me many of which I did do but I have absolutely no pictures as my finacee packed me some things for the night out and put new batteries in my camera but forgot to put it in my bag ;)
We are now 3 days from leaving and I have no time off to pack I stated packing this morning but will need to fit at least one more load of laundry in before I can finish the packing :scared1: Hopefully I can get everything packed and underweight as overweight suitcase charges have gone through the roof!

The party was a lot of fun but being the manager of a large hotel that is sold out and understaffed the next day... not exactly ideal!
I am sitting at work for my last shift before I leave just going over lists of stuff I still have to pack, like my comb and tiara!
We leave tomorrow night but I took the day off tomorrow to get a little pampering done I have appointments for a facial, wax and pedicure tomorrow and then I just have to pack my carry-on and DF's suit and we should be good to go. :scared1:
I can't believe it's finally here! In 30 hours we will be on the plane about to take off for the first part of out trip to Disney World and 13 hours after that I will be in Disney World!!!

Glad I Did
V&As Chef's Table
I am so glad we did the Chef's Table at Victoria and Albert's for the wedding dinner. The food was so fabulous and the servers Jack and Shirley were great. I had requested the Glass Slipper Sorbet and was told that they probably couldn't do it but they would try... well course 8 or 9 came out and it was glowing ice slippers :cloud9: One of the best moments of the dinner.
Wedding Gazebo at the Yacht Club
It was the perfect size for us and the gardens around the gazebo were beautiful, plus being able to walk downstairs to the wedding was perfect, no need to worry about any transportation issues.
Jiko for the rehearsal dinner
Jiko was fantastic, we did not have a private room but they gave us one large table in a more private area of the restaurant so we didn't disturb too many of the other diners with our camera crew.
Used the Mom's Panel
I got so many helpful answers and a new friend out of using the mom's panel to do a little research on restaurants. It also introduced me to the online Disney community including these boards :dance3: It also got me a few new experiences when they decided to do a feature on the wedding including an interview with Doug live and in person (yes they flew him down so I got to meet, more on this later) and a Dessert party!:woohoo:
Had a Noon Wedding
With as much hair as I have hair and makeup arrived at 8am for my sister and I and Patricia even added on an assistant after the trail. We had a chance get a little sleep that morning and breakfast which was good as we didn't have another meal planned until dinner at 5:30 that night!
Had a Hair Trial
When Patricia showed up and was a little unprepared for how much hair I actually have at the hair trial I was sooo glad I had booked a trial with her as she was able to find an assistant to come with her on the wedding day to help with my sister and I's hair.
Had an In-Park Birdal Shoot
I LOVE how my pictures turned out from the shoot especially the AK ones and I am sooo glad I got the opportunity to have the shoot as it is one of my favourite memories... once the photographer found us (more details on that later!)
Wish I Didn't
Try to make sure the in-laws were happy as much.
I really wanted the trip to be a chance to get to know them a little better and hang out with them in a fun environment, it turned out they only came in 2 days before the wedding, did their own thing a lot and didn't seem to want to see us and cancelled breakfast the day after the wedding on their departure day as they didn't think they'd be up in time... so much for goodbyes!
That's really my one regret!
Wish I Did
Booked a Private Party at Rose and Crown
We just had two tables booked for 8 people each and the bills got very messed up.Dinner there was Saturday night and it was Tuesday before we had the bills sorted out!
