Has anyone tried to play CDs in the new DVD players at the BCV? My DVD player at home will play music CDs. It be great to be able to bring a few CDs along to play in the room.

Funny this would take me out of my usual lurking mode!
Just yesterday I asked my husband this very question while standing in a Disney Store eyeing Disney music CD's.
His answer was that he wasn't sure, he knows some do. But he said I should ask here. He usually just torlerates the Disney obsession thing. Guess he is begining to see what I havve known for some time.
This is the source of ALL information. At least any information that I would like to know.

Thanks all for past info. Sorry I don't have your answer but will await someone who does. Just wanted to share the coincidence!

I have never seen a DVD player that cannot play CD music and 99.9% of the newest models also have MP3 decoding included ( Which means @ 100+ songs if your computer has a program to convert .wav files into MP3's ;) ).

Gigashadow is right, as far as I know all DVD players will play music CD's. Bear in mind, though, that the sound quality will probably not be very good, as it is just hooked up to the television, not to a home theatre set up. So you'll just be listening through the TV.

Enjoy!

DVD players amuse me by calling them DVD/CD players. As previous poster points out you will be listening through the TV.

While you'll have to listen through the TV at BCV, my DVD player is connected to my TV and my stereo, and does an excellent job of playing CD's.
