We'll be spending 4 nights at Disney's Vero Beach and we're planning our activities (2 adults, 2 grown daughters). We all love snorkeling but I can't find any info on snorkeling anywhere - Im guessing because there isn't any. Does anyone out there have anything that would contradict my findings?

We will have a car. I've looked at the posts on this board. Basically, for adults, it's the beach, a nearby mall, mini-golf, biking and a couple of other things. That's OK though. We love to relax, and from everything I've read, Disney's VB is a great place for that. Just wondering if there's anything else.

Thanks in advance for any info.

We just returned from Vero and the water in the Atlantic isn't really clear enough for snorkeling. Plus right now, there are alot of sharks along the Atlantic Florida coast----another reason to consider other things to do while at Vero. We loved the resort and you will have a great time.

RONfromRI,

Don't know if you are baseball fans but, there is minor league baseball in Vero (L.A. Dodgers affiliate). It is only 20 minutes or so away.

There is a National Park just north of DVC Vero, Sabastian Inlet, it has a sheltered "lagoon" area and might be your best bet, although I wouldn't guarantee you'll see much.

DO TAKE CARE though as just outside the lagoon area is a link between the open Ocean and the intracoastal waterway, tides get pretty strong and there is a lot of fishing activity because so many bait fish go through between the two, where there are bait fish there is a good chance you'll find sharks :o
