View Full Version : New DH from DVC!

Now I'm sure-DVC must have given me a new DH. Best as I can figure, it happened after only 1 night at OKW (Boy, that DVC works fast!). The man sitting next to me on the airplane ride home looked much more relaxed, dare I say "content" than my DH ever did. And then when we got home, this DH used words like "Disney" and "vacation" in the same sentence, and in a positive manner, like "how soon is our next Disney vacation?" It couldn't possibly be my old DH-he only tolerated my Disney obsession, and when we bought into DVC, he told DS "After years of being married to your mother, I've learned that it's easier to just go along with anything she wants Disney! It's not worth a fight". And this one saw a new comforter set for our bedroom and immediately wanted me to buy it because it "reminds me of OKW". Nope, definitely not my old DH. The final thing that made me sure is this morning-I was watching a vacation planning video from DW, and this new DH came in and sat and actually watched intently, making comments like "Where's that?" "I remember going there!" Next thing you know, he'll be reading from my library of Disney planning Guide Books. If you're a potential DVC buyer, be forewarned-DVC does a very quick and subtle job!

That is a great story! Somedays it is tough to find content on the boards that suits my mood...but you really told a great story. Congrats on converting your DH and thanks for sharing!

Loved that story. I'm working on convincing DH that DVC is a great idea for us.

Gee, that was pretty easy - why didn't you buy into DVC sooner :)? Glad to read we have another convert!!

They're shrunken, painted, nailed to a rotating platform, and you can hear them daily singing, "It's a small world after all...."

Simba's mom: Love your story! Here's hoping I return with a new dh after Thanksgiviing week at OKW. He always has a good time once we're at disney but he just can't understand how much fun the planning is for me. I would love to hear those words, "How soon is our next disney vacation?":D
Kick it up a notch!

My DH used to say he did care for WDW until we took our first cruise with DCL. He loved it so must that we book another as soon as we got home. On our next cruise he was so in love with the cruises that he bought into DVC on the ship. We'll be going on our 5th cruise in Oct. of this year. Funny but he now loves going to WDW too. He also brags about what a great deal the Disney Vacation Club is.
Thanks Walt.

What a great outcome! This needs to be kept easy for folks to find when they have a spouse who's "on the fence" about DVC.... Bet it could help change a lot more minds!
