Hello all, we just got back tonight and had a great 3/4 days at DLRP.

So glad we made the effort to travel down when we did on Wednesday night and stay overnight close by, made such a difference. We had two great (dry) days in the parks on Thursday and Friday.

Highs (in no particular order):
Christmas, Christmas and more Christmas!!!
The decorations, the castle lighting, Fantilusion, Father Christmas - all of it was fab.
Plaza Gardens was lovely for lunch on Thursday - really surprised.
Pool at DCR.
Cruella de Vile - Fabulous Character interacton:lmao:
Tower of Terror - day and night!
Parks in the dark - a first for us:)
Youngest DD getting on BTMR:banana::banana:
Eldest DD getting on RnRR - this morning :cool1::cool1:
Being upgraded to a NEW 2 bed cabin at DCR - was great:):):)
The weather.
Getting parked in the second row of "A" everyday:)

Lows:
Crowds on Saturday and Sunday. Didn't bother to stay in the parks - went swimming instead.
Queued 1hr for burger meal at Hyperion cafe on Saturday.
Rude people pushing and shoving my children, even when I have hold of their hand. In fairness this only happened on Saturday in the park when it was very busy.
Inconsiderate smokers - leaving their cigarettes burning in their hands whilst waiting in queue, therefore at the height of my childrens face!

I will do a TR in the next couple of days, but it will probably be mainly pics as I am tres busy;)
I will add pics to the DCR review re: new cabin when I can too, probably in the next few days, but if anybody has any questions re: this, please just ask :)

Welcome back and congrats on the cabin upgrade. I've heard that DCR has the best swimming pool out of all the Disney hotels? I've never really thought about having to park at DLRP but it sounds like you got pretty close parking :)

Glad you had a good time

Ive just read your review - thanks a very detailed description of the new cabins. Its a shame there isnt a bath though because after a long day in the parks a soak is often very welcome - a shower just isnt the same. Im not sure I like the 4 bed idea either - bunk beds would have made more sense/space as you say

Thanks for the detailed report on the refurbished cabins. Having stayed in DCR twice in the past I can't help thinking they look like they've lost some of their character. The decking area would be wonderful in the summer. Not sure I like the sleeping arrangements though.

Is there a bathtub in the older style cabins then?
