As many of you know, last year was the first time the DIS/DISUnplugged/Dreams Unlimited Travel participated in Mousefest. We had such a great time that we immediately committed to participating in future Mousefest events.

Sadly the organizers of Mousefest have decided not to host their annual event this year.

Since the DIS/DISUnplugged/Dreams already committed to participating and holding a party/event this year we are going forward with those plans for December 2009.

I know many of you have been waiting for details on our event/party in December. We still have many of the details to work out but we have identified the dates of 12/11, 12/12 and 12/13 for DIS related events.

Please understand that this is not a replacement for Mousefest. We look forward to the return of Mousefest in the future and working with the organizers when they decide to have it again.

I understand many of you are already planning meets and events on your own for that weekend. I think that is awesome. Please know that we have no interest in organizing any of these individual events. I am really pleased to see these have taken on a ‘grass roots’ feel and that individuals have taken it upon themselves to organize these and work out the details.

We do plan on having a couple of DIS/DISUnplugged/Dreams sponsored/organized events. Again, specifics are in the works but here is what we know so far:

Main Party/Event – the evening of Saturday 12/12/2009
Toy Story Mania Party - Disney Hollywood Studios - 9:30PM - Midnight**

UPDATED 10/29/2009 - **Slight change in event start time. If this negatively affects you please email me at John@DreamsUnlimitedTravel.com

UPDATE 10/28/2009 - We are no longer taking registrations for this event. We will begin registering people for the seminar (see below). Once that is complete we will start to mail out credentials. You will receive an email letting you know when your credentials have been mailed.

http://www.wdwinfo.com/images/pixarstreet.jpg

- We are not ready to take waitlist/sign-ups for our main event/party – so please don’t ask. Once we have some specifics worked out we will put up a sign-up form. Until then please be patient.
- We understand that many people will want to attend this year’s party so we are working to ensure we can accommodate as many people as possible so no one is left out.
- We will be charging a small fee to attend this event ($25 per person). This fee is to offset administrative costs and to help ensure everyone who signed up for the party attends. Last year we had some people sign-up who didn’t attend – and since Disney charges us ‘per head’ for these events we wound up wasting money and, worst yet, those were spaces others could have taken.
- We have not worked out the exact fee yet, but plan on keeping it as reasonable as possible so that as many folks who want to attend are able – more details to come.
- Folks who book 2 or more nights with Dreams Unlimited Travel for that weekend will get a priority space on the list for the party as well as have the fee waived.

UPDATE 10/21/2009
We will begin taking 'open registrations' for this event beginning 10/21/2009 at 9PM Eastern Time. The link to the registration form is below. For those of you who are impatient and tried the link you will find that form is not turned on yet - you must wait until 9PM Eastern Time on 10/21.

Kevin and John will be in chat that night beginning at 8:45PM to deal with any questions or issues that may come up during the process.

https://www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com/reservations/dap1.cfm

UPDATE 10/14/2009 - Menu at the event:

Cooked to order Grilled Sausages and Peppers with Rolls
Mini Corn Dogs with Mustard
Tortilla Chips with Nacho Cheese and Jalapenos
Green Apple Slices with Caramel Dip
Sugar Dusted Funnel Cakes
Bags of Cotton Candy
Caramel Corn (replaces Boiled Peanuts)
Buttered Popcorn

There will be a cash bar for beer, wine, soda and bottled water

Friday 12/11/2009 – Seminar

UPDATE 11/18/2009 - Lee Cockerell has graciously agreed to sign copies of his book at the seminar. In order to speed the process we are asking that everyone bring their own copy of his book to the seminar for him to sign so that we don't have to set-up any kind of merchandise/sales location. You can purchase his book at any bookstore, any gift-shop on Disney property or on Amazon through this link http://www.wdwinfo.com/merchandise.htm.

VERY IMPORTANT - There will NOT be an opportunity to purchase his book at the seminar so you MUST bring your copy with you. Lee will only be signing copies of his own book.

UPDATE 11/01/2009 - We are no longer accepting registrations for the seminar.

UPDATE 10/28/2009 - Event details:

December 11, 2009 at 9AM at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel - Convention Center Conference Room Northern E. Please arrive at least 30 minutes early to venue as we will not allow anyone to be seated once the seminar begins. No park admission media is required to attend this event - just your seminar credentials. If choose to drive to the hotel, regular parking fees will apply.

The cost for this event is $59 per person.

We anticipate the seminar lasting approximately 3 - 4 hours.

Anyone who indicated they may be interested in attending the seminar through the TSM party sign-up process will receive an email from us instructing you how to sign-up for the seminar. You are under no obligation to have anyone in your party attend the seminar. The forms are self explanatory and easy to use.

Registrations for the seminar will close at midnight 10/31/2009 to allow us time to have all credentials printed, processed and mailed.

Update 10/21/2009
If you have listened to this weeks podcast you will know that we have announced the speakers at our Seminar. They will be:

Lee Cockerell - Executive Vice President, Operations (Retired) Walt Disney World Resort
Topic: You Can Create Magic Too! Examples of how Disney Cast Members create magic for guests and for each other.

Marty Sklar - Executive Vice President and Walt Disney Imagineering Ambassador (Retired)
Topic: JUST DO SOMETHING PEOPLE WILL LIKE! During 30 years as the creative leader of Walt Disney Imagineering, MARTY SKLAR was often asked, “What do you want me to do?” by the Imagineers. In response, he frequently remembered the answer Walt Disney gave when the great Disney artist, Herb Ryman (who drew the first overall illustration of Disneyland and the castles for Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom ) asked the question that brought forth Walt’s classic response: “Just do something people will like!” Easy to say, but as the Imagineers created nine of the eleven Disney parks around the world under Marty Sklar’s creative leadership, there were often no simple answers. Join us as the only Disney cast member who was “there” at the opening of all the Disney parks tells the stories – on stage and backstage – from those magic places in Anaheim, Orlando, Tokyo, Paris and Hong Kong.

http://www.wdwinfo.com/images/Lee-Cockerell.jpghttp://www.wdwinfo.com/images/marty-sklar.jpg

We are very excited and honored to have both gentlemen come and speak with us.

There will be a separate enrollment and fee for this event. Those details have not been finalized yet. With the TSM event sign-up we are asking people to let us know if they are interested in the seminar. We will be contacting those individuals separately to sign-up for the event and announce a price at that time.

As I said details have not been finalized but the seminar will most likely be in the morning of 12/11/2009 lasting about 4 hours and will take place at the WDW Swan or Dolphin convention center.

You MUST be signed up for the TSM Party to be able to attend this event on Friday. There will be no way to sign-up for this event if you aren't already signed up for the party.

Update 10/14/09 - We are in the final discussions to put something together. We are looking at a Friday mid-morning event that will last half a day (4 hours). There will be a fee for this to cover the cost of the speaker(s) and the venue. It will most likely be on Disney property at a hotel with convention space. More details to come.

And we are very close to securing one speaker that has us all VERY EXCITED!!!!

Original ideas with Disney Institute Fell Through - We are working on alternate plans

- We are in talks with the Disney Institute folks to put together some kind of event this day. Most likely this will be some kind of lecture series with multiple speakers. This is all very preliminary but we have thrown out our ‘pie in the sky’ ideas to see what they come back with. I believe I actually heard their heads explode during the conference call when I told them what I wanted to do.
- There will be a charge for this event, however attendees of this event will get priority space on the list for 12/12 party as well as have the fee waived.
- Depending on what we do and the interest from you all this could be a half or full day event and could include meals.
- I am sorry to be so cryptic, but none of the details have been worked out yet.

Sunday 12/13/2009 – Live Podcast Recording

UPDATE 10/28/2009 - Event details:

December 13, 2009 at 2PM at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort - Convention Center Conference Southern IV and V. Please arrive at least 30 minutes early to venue as we will not allow anyone to be seated once the recording begins. No park admission media is required to attend this event - just your party credentials. If choose to drive to the hotel, regular parking fees will apply.

There is no cost to attend this event.

You must be wearing your party credentials to attend the live taping.

We anticipate the podcast taping will last approximately 90 minutes.

Update 10/21/2009
Specifics have not been finalized but we are still looking at doing this at 2PM at either the Swan or Dolphin. You will need your party credentials to attend this event.

http://www.wdwinfo.com/images/DIS-Unplugged-Logo.jpg

Update 10/14 - this will most likely be held mid-afternoon (2PMish) at the Swan/Dolphin. More details to follow.

- Again, no details have been worked out but we are hoping to secure a venue large enough to have a live show this day. This would be a free event.
- More details to come as the time gets closer.

Again, I am sorry that I don’t have any details for you. I do know that many of you were looking to make your travel plans for this so I wanted to at least get the dates out there.

As I said, once we have more details I will be releasing them to everyone. Also, once we have some specifics worked out we will be putting up a sign-up form for all events.

My goal this year is to make sure everyone who wants to attend the party has the opportunity. I know some were disappointed last year because we had to cut-off the number of attendees to the party. Hopefully this year we will be able to host everyone who wants to attend.

Thanks
John

PS Anyone who writes, emails, PMs or calls about being put on the waitlist will be subject to public humiliation

UPDATE 10/15/2009 - Dreams Unlimited Travel clients will be receiving an email somtime today/tomorrow with a link to sign-up for the event. Please use the link provided in the email to sign-up and do not share the link with anyone else - not because we do not want anyone else to see it - but becuase each form is coded based on the type of reservation you booked. The form you get will not work for everyone.

We will give DU clients a day or two to sign-up and then we are going to publish the sign-up form for the general public. Based on interest in this event so far we do not anticipate turning anyone away, however if we underestimated the attendance we may have to turn off sign-ups at some point.

Everyone else will be allowed to sign-up afterwards. We will link to the sign-up form from this page as well as announce it on the podcast AND have a page on the DIS linking to it.

UPDATE 10/14/2009 - We are finalizing some of the plans and once we have that in place we will start to take sign-ups. Dreams Unlimited Travel clients will get first priority and will be contacted by their agents on how to sign-up.

Everyone else will be allowed to sign-up afterwards. We will link to the sign-up form from this page as well as announce it on the podcast AND have a page on the DIS linking to it.

UPDATE 10/09/2009 - Concerning D23 Event on Same Night as TSM Party

We had a conference call with the event services team helping us with the TSM party this past week and I am really surprised they didn't mention this to us.

We have received some questions if it will be possible to attend both the D23 event on the night of 12/12 at DHS as well as our event.

If you want to attend TSM you will need to be at the entrance to MGM prior to the party (9PM) and escorted back to the party. No one will be permitted into the TSM party from other areas of the park - only those escorted from the front of the park will be allowed in the party.

We will have some more details soon but you should know you won't have to have park admission for our party as it is after the park closes. We will be sending out credentials to the party. Please don't ask for details as I don't have them yet.

Woohoo! I'm first!!!

Morning All!

We got about an inch of snow here yesterday, but the parental unit was able to fly back from WDW despite it. Jet Blue had some electrical problems and all of the TV and radio service was out the entire trip! They are being given a $15/person voucher good towards an upcoming trip so that is good.

I am beyond excited about DAP! It feels so close now!!!!

Happy Sunday all! I have not packed a thing. I am very unorganized. Christmas shopping is done, which is what I was hoping for before I left on the trip. Baby-sitting is all arranged for the girls, but I still have one major project to work on before I can start packing. I should be working on it now.

I am getting VERY worried about the weather on Wednesday. We fly out at 5:30 AM on Wednesday. We have a 30 minutes drive to the airport. I'm considering finding a hotel where we can stay so that we don't have to worry about driving. The cost isn't all that much more if we can find a hotel that lets us leave our vehicle there for free.

A new thread - wasn't expecting that - I figured they would just let us run the other one up.

Here is my latest dilemma - Airtran changed my flight again, now I am getting in at 12:15 - should I change to the 7:00am flight and get in around 9:30?

If I do, I may need to do the hotel thing by the airport which would cost more money.

What to do?

Yes, I'm traveling solo. And, yes I'm on the flight with a very short layover. Fortunately, I'm not checking any luggage so that will be one less thing to worry about. Now, just praying we depart on time to make the connection.

Exactly! I love that early flight, but without fail they put the connecting flight on the other side of the airport. I promise I'm a very nice person, but I won't be during that 50 minutes. It stresses me out. I love the MLI airport. It's so nice and quiet and stress free. Luggage won't be a big deal, because we check it and use Magical Express. Where are you staying in WDW?

I'm at Pop - this is a bonus trip for me. And, as I was there for 17 days just 2 1/2 months ago, it will be a budget concious trip. I'm very excited - in all of my trips, this is the first one during the holidays! I'm taking the last flight back into MLI on Sunday and plan on squishing everything bit of holday magic in that I possibly can.

I see the taping is going to start at 2:00 (but we should be there 30 minutes early). Val & I have reservations at YSH for 6:10. Surely the taping won't go 4 hours - will it?

I recall they said something like 1½-2 hours or so. They booked the room until 6, but the taping shouldn't be that long. Post show mingling will be as long as you see fit.

What to do?

I would stick with the later flight and save the money to spend.

Do you mean you need to stay in a hotel the night before so you are closer to the airport? We are 30 minutes from the airport, and we often times stay in a hotel, because we always fly out at 5:30 in the morning. We find a hotel that offers a free parking and free shuttle service. That way we figure we haven't spent much more because we don't have to pay to park at the airport.

Yes - I am a little over an hour away from the airport.

I have found that for a week long trip, it pays for itself to stay at one of the hotels and use the shuttle versus the parking. If I do this now, I will pay more for the room so in the end it will cost me about $40 more.

TO me it would depend on where you will get a better night's rest. It doesn't cost an excessive amount to stay overnight, so if you can sleep a little later and get to WDW sooner, I'd say go for it. If you will get worse/less sleep..that's a tougher call.

But then again I forget I'm talking to the queen of being up at 4am....:scratchin

I am concerned about the weather too, I am thinking of going up on Wednesday night and staying near the airport too.

I have an airport less than 10 miles from my house, but I usually fly out of Indianapolis, because the cost of flights are $100+ cheaper out of Indy. Which requires me to travel 2 hrs to the north to catch my flight.

In the summer I fly out of Denver for the same reason. It is 200 miles to Denver. I have to travel over some very high mountain passes so I don't do it in the winter anymore. I could save $150.00 to $250.00, but if it is snowing I may not make it if they close the passes. Last year it took us almost 5 1/2 hours to get home and it was very scary. So I decided the difference in price is not worth it any more. During the winter I wish I lived closer to Denver because it makes flying so much easier.

I don't blame you for not trying to travel to Denver. That would be scary with a big snow. My route is mostly flat, right now the models have the storm getting here overnight Tuesday Night into the day on Wednesday. The path and timing is still in question though. Right now they are saying Chicago may see the brunt of the storm and we would be getting rain only question for me is what will Indianapolis get (Rain, Freezing Rain or Snow). I am going to make my final decision tomorrow based on what they are saying once the storm gets past you tomorrow.

I hate traveling this time of year. It is so stressful! I hope the storm misses you.

I've been in hiding lately, sorry. I've been really busy trying to get ready to leave, making arrangements for the kids, etc. I went to the spare room this morning where all of my stuff is set aside, and the box with my credentials and AP and other paperwork had been dumped out  I couldn't find the ribbon for the seminar, I called the boys in and screamed at them until they found it :sad2:, thank goodness they did. Talk about a panic!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Save yourself the stress about the weather and book the hotel!

And I can't believe you're done w/ Christmas already. What did you decide on for a camera?

I have an airport less than 10 miles from my house, but I usually fly out of Indianapolis, because the cost of flights are $100+ cheaper out of Indy. Which requires me to travel 2 hrs to the north to catch my flight.

Which makes your time worth $25 an hour?
Time vs. money is always a good question!

All this talk about hotel room before the flight...

I go through the same thing when I fly out of Maine in December. To make a morning flight, I need to leave home at by 4:00. I watch the weather and consider going down the night before. In the end, each time I sleep at home.

The airport parking went up another $2.00 this year. Next time, if I am gone for a week, I am going to research the park and fly hotels for sure.

There is definitely a break even point - I tend not to park in satelitte parking when I am traveling alone - especially arriving after dark. Something about being in an open air parking lot by myself spooks me. So I park in the Daily garage which is $2 a day more. If I book the hotel in advance, 7 days is the point that it is equal anything longer it is definitely cheaper to go with the hotel free parking.

This trip, I am late in booking the hotel so it is more expensive and the thing that is making me want to do the hotel is catching an earlier flight. Not a must do.

I go through airportparkinginc.com, they have the best rate at the Indianapolis airport, they currently only offer parking at 10 airports around the country. They contract with a local hotel near the airport and you park in their lot. It is prepaid, and only $5.00 a day with a $5.00 handling fee (vs $9.00 a day at the airport). They offer free transportation to & from the airport. I just reserved my parking for this trip. It is $24.00. The two hotels I am looking at with my AAA discount are $41.00 after taxes. The cheapest Park-n-fly was $91.00 after taxes.

For those who might have an interest, The Orlando area TubaChristmas will be:

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12 - TIME: 1:00 pm
LOCATION: Stage, Park Ave.,downtown Winter Park, No. end of Central Park, Canton Ave., North of Rollins College

For those who do not know, TUBACHRISTMAS was conceived in 1974 as a tribute to the late artist/teacher William J. Bell, born on Christmas Day, 1902. Through the legendary William J. Bell we reflect on our heritage and honor all great artists/teachers whose legacy has given us high performance standards, well structured pedagogy, professional integrity, personal values and a camaraderie envied by all other instrumentalists. The first TUBACHRISTMAS was conducted by the late Paul Lavalle in New York City's Rockefeller Plaza Ice Rink on Sunday, December 22, 1974. Traditional Christmas music performed at the first TUBACHRISTMAS was arranged by American composer Alec Wilder who ironically died on Christmas Eve, 1980. Wilder composed many solo and ensemble compositions for tuba and euphonium. He was a loyal supporter of every effort to improve the literature and public image of our chosen instruments. Through Alec Wilder we express our respect and gratitude to all composers who continue to embrace our instruments with their compositions and contribute to the ever growing solo and ensemble repertoire for tuba and euphonium.

Plus it sounds pretty cool! Talk about heavy metal!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3196/3126127010_5956b840f6.jpg

If I had bought an extra airline ticket for my Tuba, I probably would go play. The Houston Tuba Christmas is the weekend of the 19th.

Only if the Mayor's office declares "Operation Snow", then they will let us leave on a staggered basis..This is finals weeks, so the University will try not to cancel classes if at all possible.

I am still watching Wednesday's weather.. new system out west, though I am leaning toward booking the room in Indy just to be safe, as if conditions are like this morning, I would rather drive to Indy on Wednesday night.

I have been keeping a MUST DO before DAP list - these are the things I will worry about this week, everything else will be here when I get back.

Right now - it only has one task that I can't do until tomorrow - Open Enrollment for insurance - I need to complete this before I leave.

Open Enrollment for insurance - I need to complete this before I leave.

That took place, while I was on Vacation in October, I had two days to complete everything, when I returned to work.

Don't you love when something important falls when you are on vacation??

This one is particularly important as I need to change insurance coverage for me.

:wave2: Mornin' folks!

Hey, my smilies are back where they belong!

We are officially under a Winter Storm Warning tomorrow through Wednesday night :scared1: Hopefully I have no problem getting out of here on Thursday morning! The county just to the south of us are part of a Blizzard warning :scared1: On a related note, I guess the Christmas lights aren't going on the house this year :headache:

I was planning on cleaning today and running around and getting last minute stuff tomorrow to pack on Wednesday - guess I'll be running around today before the snow flies. And trying to sneak in seeing New Moon again, too.

Have a great day everyone! 3 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!:banana::banana:

OK,

I've lurked for a LONG time and been a fan of the PodCast but never signed up on the board. A former co-worker and member here turned me on to this wonderful group. Work will have me at Disney during DAP (so nice of them to do so); during my off hours I decided to join in on the fun! How could I resit the chance so drink and play so Jack won't be a dull boy?!!

As such I though it was time to make it official and do what I should have done long ago...make myself appear. I am looking forward to meeting as many of you as I can, learning from Mr. Cockrell and Skalar and taking a "shot" at a cruise.

See you there!

I hope everyone with snow coming makes it out ok. I know how stressful that can be.

I am having trouble sleeping so I got all caught up on this thread. I hate not being able to sleep.

I hope you were able to get some sleep Anne.

hmm- no signature when posting from eticket. My prev post looks so naked!

That is my only complaint, as I identify people from their signatures as much as I do their Avatars.

If enough people say something they might fix that.

We usually have open enrollment in December at my work as well. They haven't said anything about it this year. I guess it is a good thing that I don't need to change anything.

I am watching the weather channel now and they are now calling for snow thru Wednesday here. The winter storm warning hasn't change so that is good because it ends on Tuesday.

OK, I have serious issues. I do not handle things like pending snow very well. I was up until 1:30, I woke up at 6. I have a bazillion things to do today, and if I had any good friends here, they would slap me in the face about right now and tell me to calm down. I called to change our flight, and it will cost $230. Right now they are not making any arrangements because of snow. There is a possibility that they might later in the day. Did I mention that I haven't packed for vacation? And, my wonderful, wonderful husband while he understands how crazy I can be, has no time for me today, which I completely understand. He's trying to take off today AND have you ever seen a grocery store when they are predicting a snowstorm????

Calm down and take a deep breath. :grouphug: There is only so much you can do. Just keep checking with the Airlines and start packing, keeping yourself busy that will help with your nerves. I'll be thinking about you.
I can't even change my flight at this point because we are expecting snow thru Wednesday. I am happy that my flight is the first one out because I have a better chance of getting out.

Morning everyone. My first meeting of the day was cancelled which was a nice bonus. Three days from now I will be on an airplane jetting to FL:banana:

One of the local radio stations is doing a promotion where if you display their call letters you get entered to have Straight No Chaser come and carol in your yard. How cool would that be?

Gotta get back to work. I'll check in later. Everyone think warm thoughts to ward off departure day snow.

Step 1: Put a little "somethinsomethin" in your coffee

Step 2: Download the Straight No Chaser Christmas Cheers album that Anne posted about. I had to google it- fun christmas music that will put a smile on your face.

Step 3: Start packing

Step 4: Call the airlines back after lunch.

Nicole. Stop. Take a breath. It is a vacation. It is supposed to be (in part at least) some special time for you and James. You can't change the weather. Try to keep up on if the airline is doing something about the snow. Relax. It will be fine.

Yesterday was suppose to be "a little" inside decorating. How about a different word for it. Disaray. :headache: While the living room looks nice, it's not finished, and the kitchen looks like a giant storage bin. If Deb doesn't get her mess cleaned up by Wednesday she will need to stay home. ;)

I pack, I unpack, I ladder, I tote, I screw, I hammer, I wire. I don't decorate! ;)

Have a nice day! :goodvibes

That is the worst part of decorating. We have 22 bins of indoor Christmas decor plus about 40 Dickens Village buildings, plus accessories. Our house looks horrible for about a week until it is all put away. Hopefully all the bins will go away tonight.

Recovered from the game yet George? I have resigned myself to the fact they just aren't that good this year.

I think the last time I told you guys why I wasn't going was because of my grandmother. Well..she's doing better. Still not out of the woods, but alot better than what any of us had expected. So..hopefully..she's still got some more fight left in her!!

Also, anyone around the Ohio, Michigan, Indiana or any other stae that has cold and snow, PLEASE bring back some sunshine and warmness with you!! LOL!!

One last thing, please make sure to tell Minnie hi for me!! Hugs and Love!!

I hear you Scott. Deb and I have been purging our bins over the last few years. Many things to my daughter and lots to Salvation Army. There was so much stuff it was stacked to the ceiling in spots. It has worn on me over the years. Still love Christmas and celebrating, not so much with all the decoration. I'm getting into subtle. Or at least trying. :)

If you saw my post in the last DAP topic I did say the game would be close and I was worried about the D. I wasn't wrong. Add to that the offense is getting inconsistent. If Ronnie Brown was playing yesterday Miami would have ruled the day. As it was Henne did pretty well. Anything can happen but I've reset expectations for this season.

OK. I went to the gym, worked out, am still stressed. But, I have decided that at noon I am calling the airline, and I am flying out tomorrow. It is just supposed to be horrible starting tomorrow. If the weatherman is wrong, then I paid the fee to change for nothing. If he's right, I'd rather pay the money to get there earlier than lose the money if I don't get down there as planned.

First off, you do not have serious issues. I am the exact same way, so if you do, then we can have issues together. I don't leave until Thursday, after the storm will supposedly come through, but am still panicking about it.

Take a deep breath. Yell and scream a bit. Take another deep breath. Repeat until you are calm (or are too tired to scream anymore :rotfl: ).

You WILL get to Disney - better late (or early) than never. Pack what you know you will need. No one but you will notice if you wear the same thing twice, particularly if it is chilly at night and you are wearing a jacket.

After lunch, check with the airlines again. Keep checking every 3 hours all day long, and again tomorrow morning if necessary. If they cancel or postpone your flight on Wednesday without getting to change your flight first, get them to book you on the first available flight Wednesday evening after the snow and winds are supposed to clear or Thursday morning, even if you have to fly separately.

Good luck, and see you soon!

NO, I don't want his job right now. Having to lay people off is not my idea of a great job. :sad2:
I can't wait to see you guys!

I hope your feeling a little better Nicole. :grouphug:

It is adout time you got on the boards. I was getting tired of updating you on the activities! Hopefully I am not just a former co-worker but also a friend!

Lurker or stalker? :rotfl:

Your making the right decision. The most important thing to me would be knowing that the kids would be taken care of, and you've got that covered, so heading down early makes more sense and less frustration for you.

But you just love chaos don't you buddy? :goodvibes

Speaking of chaos, did you see that they switched the CP narrator for 12/12 & 12/13 again? It now looks like it will be Chita Rivera. I just got an update on facebook. I guess Kirk Cameron is out???

Hi everyone

We're supposed to get a snow/rain mix on Wednesday. Trying not to worry about it. Installed the eticket app on my Ipone but haven't had a chance to play around with it yet.

I called AirTran back. The price is now up to $260 to change and there are only 6 seats left. So I asked them if they have changed my flight at all that would allow me to change for free, and they have. I have no idea by how much, but it was enough that after checking with a supervisor, they allowed me to change to tomorrow free of charge. :) :) :) Now I need to shower, pack, and find someone to cut my hair. Oh, and I need to make a reservation for tomorrow night somewhere. Hmm, DVC or reg resort. I'm not even sure I have enough DVC points.

No I missed that Andrea. They must have got a slew of cancellations because of Kirk. :rotfl:

Hi Kim. Forecast recently changed from sun to cloudy with wind on Thursday for our flight out of NH. But it's just a forecast. Hopefully whatever happens Wednesday does not impact our flight.
