Hi, Everyone. We are planning a land / sea package for Dec 2003. This will be my first ever cruise. Traveling will be me, dh, dd who will be 5.5 and ds who will be 2.5. All of us will be newbies. We are going to travel with my grandmother who crusies fairly often.

We are very excited.I know we will be doing 4 day wdw / 3 day sea.

Any advice would be appreciated!! Is there a place for menus for the 3 day cruises? I have only found the 7 day ones. Also, what can I expect from the 3 day cruise? Do I need to make reservations for all dinners are just palos? I know for all dinners we will most likey pay for my son to be in the nursery and let my daughter go to the kids club.

When do you experts reccomend booking?

Sorry to ramble, I FEEL I have so much to learn.Looking forward to the replies and advice.

You will be assigned a dinning rotation. One night at each of the 3 resturants on board (Tritons, Animator;s Palate and Parrot Cay). You will have an assigned table in each at an assigned time, either early or late seating. You will only need to show up and you will be shown to your table. If you choose to dine at Palos one night you would choose which night, make a ressie at Palos and the make arrangements for the kiddies. Since this is your first cruise and you are only going to be there 3 nights I would suggest missing Parrot Cay in order to go to Palos. If I had to miss one of the regular dinning rooms, that would be my choice.

Have a great time and ask anything that come to mind.

My tip is, when you get on the ship, check in and drop your luggage in the cabin, send one of the adults first thing up to Palo to book your dinner reservations. They will make a big announcement about a "Shopping in Nassau" talk, which they say is important for one member of your party to attend. Don't worry about attending it -- it will be broadcast on your television later. I missed the welcome aboard luncheon to attend that talk, and it was really not necessary. Needless to say, I was a little irritated:mad: . Especially since I felt like Nassau not the best shopping experience (lots of aggressive begging for your business)

Have a great time and enjoy your land/sea vacation. We went on ours in Sept. 2000, and it got us hooked on Disney cruises! I am sure you'll love it!
