10/30-11/8 - Alyssa's 1st Trip & my 1st Anniversary ASM/TreeHouseVillas/DisneyWonder

We stayed at the All Star Music for two night, then four nights in the Treehouse Villas and finished off with 3 nights on the Disney Wonder.


Back Story: Pete and I were Married last year on Castaway Cay, November 4, 2008. We started planning an anniversary trip and wanted my Sister and her familyto join us. Alyssa was read for a trip of her very own. We planned 99% of it with Alyssa in mind!


DAY ONE – October 30, 2009

The night before we left I finished my last minute packing and I fell into bed around midnight. Our Alarm did not go off and we were woken up by my Sister calling at 5:30am! I jumped out of bed and into my clothes so fast. Thank goodness we had showered the night before.

She got to Alyssa’s house and she was tired! We put luggage tags on and loaded all up into the car. Check in was a breeze at the airport and after a quick Breakfast we were boarding the plane.

The flight was uneventful. Alyssa didn’t mind it and watched her “Mosies” (Movies) while we flew. We landed 10 minutes early and headed right to the Magical Express!

We got on the bus and poor Alyssa had a mini breakdown. She was exhausted. She fell asleep 3 minutes before we pulled up to the All Star Movies resort. Laura and I went to Check in and Brandon tried to find a quiet place to sit or stand so Alyssa could sleep.

Before we were done check in Alyssa was awake and looking for her “Mama”. At check in the gave her a cool Halloween balloon. The man Checking us in was great and found us rooms that were next to each other and ready at 10:30am! YAY! We were in the Fantasia Building. On the end closest to the food court and pool. It was a perfect location!

Alyssa was fussy she needed a nap BAD. We started heading through the lobby to the doors to the hotel room area and I was holding her hand. We walked out of the doors and we were hit with humidity like middle of summer. Alyssa spotted the pool and got so excited. She started yelling. Pool, Swim! Pool, Swim! She started right to the pool and was pulling her shirt off at the same time. We were all laughing so hard. Thankfully we caught her because she did not even see the steps leading down to the pool area. LOL We got to the room and Laura, Brandon and Alyssa got their Bating Suits on. We all headed to the pool.

I took some pictures and then Pete and I told the rest of them good bye. We were going to head to down town Disney while they napped (after their quick swim).

Pete and I got a bus pretty fast and we got to Downtown Disney in no time.

We headed to Wolfgang Puck Express for lunch. MMM it was so good. I got the Chicken Salad Sandwich and Pete got the Mac & Cheese and we split both.

After Lunch we shopped around some and then went to make our own Tee shirts. That was fun! After we did that we hit up our favorite Christmas store in the world and sadly didn’t buy anything. I took this to show Jill the secection.

We realized it was getting late and we had to get ready for dinner so we hopped a bus back to the All Stars. Alyssa was waiting for us when we got there and she looked sooo stinking cute!

We got a bus to the Magic Kingdom (why was it so hot out) and then transferred to the Monorail to the Contemporary.

DAY ONE - Part 2

Alyssa really liked the busses and not being strapped in. When we checked in they couldn’t find out reservation. I thought the time was at 5:00 and Laura though 5:30. the CM checked and checked and nothing! UGH! She got us in anyway. (Later we found out half of our reservations were under my maiden name???? Opps) We posed for our Picture with Chef Mickey and Alyssa was in love. She was so sad to walk away from him. Dinner was pretty good. But we were really there to see the Characters! Goofy came over first and Alyssa was pretty scared. She didn’t cry but she sure didn’t want him to touch her.

Next up was Minnie or “Minn-a” as Alyssa called her. Again she was sooo excited to see her.

Alyssa ate very little and watched the Characters until they were out of site. After Minnie, Donald (DonDuck) showed up. Alyssa has been in love with DonDuck for months, but once there she decided that the girls (Minnie and Daisy) were her favorites.

It was a few minutes of peace and we all ran to get food.

Then Mickey came.

Alyssa was getting warmed up now. We were there so long the characters started coming back again. Donald stopped by again and Alyssa gave him a high five and the four adults at the table all broke out in applause. LOL How funny!

Then almost 2 hours later dinner was over! LOL

Pete and I got the monorail back to the Magic Kingdom and Laura, Brandon and Alyssa headed back to the hotel with a quick stop at Downtown Disney. I was so angry with myself since I had forgotten Laura’s Christmas present. We were going to give it to her at dinner since the Dolphin swim was at 9am the next morning.

So we were at the Magic Kingdom…yay.

I need to start each and every trip at the Magic Kingdom. I teared up when I saw the castle! Pete and I headed to Tomorrowland and rode Buzz!

Then we still had a bit of time before the desert party so we went into the Carrousel of Progress. My Favorite attraction! BUT everyone started texting me and they were all there and I was stuck in 20 minutes of “It’s a Great big Beautiful Tomorrow”!

Once out of there Pete and I bee lined to the Desert party to try to get them to move Our party and Sandy’s closer…No luck! BUT then I found all the girls! YAY! Jenna, Mikkel, Tracy, Sandy, Vanessa!

We all talked for a long time and we were the last people let into the desert party! We totally could have snuck Mikkel and Tracy in, but being the honest person Mikkel is and the Disney employee that Tracy is the declined my law breaking Offer. We had great seats right in the front and so did Sandy and Vanessa! YAY!

After the fireworks people cleared out fast. We sat and talked, then we realized that Sandy and Vanessa were still there. YAY. We went over and joined them. Then Mikkel and Tracy came back over. I slipped my wristband off and Mikkel slipped it on and went up to the buffet to get a few deserts. They were cleaning up by this time. We then walked out and Mikkel a few car stickers before we headed to the Monorail. We took it back to the Grand Floridian with Mikkel and Tracy and then walked to the Wedding Pavilion (ahh love it) to get in Mikkel’s car. She drove us back to the All Stars (what a windy place that parking lot is?). She wouldn’t let us pay for her gas when she stopped to fill up, I really wish she would have. She did so much for us this trip!

It was late when we got to our room and Laura was asleep. Darn! I set the wake up call early to get up and go to her room to give her the surprise. LOL Pete went to get Soda and I crashed and went to sleep! What a long, fun, first day!

Hi there! I remember reading your PJ, but I never finished it. I've kind of disappeared from the Wedding boards for now (hopefully some day soo though!). I'm enjoying your TR so far!

I set my wake up call for early early I called and woke Laura up at 7:00am. She informed me that Alyssa had been up for a few hours in the middle of the night and that she wasn't getting up yet. I made her meet me outside and I gave her the card I made. She was really excited to find out that her and Brandon would have three hours in the Living Seas Pavillion learning about the Dolphins and spending time in the water. This was her Christmas Present from Pete and I!

Pete and I were going to get Alyssa ready and head to the park to see some characters and ride a few rides before Laura was done her Dolphin in Depth Experience....BUT Miss Alyssa fell asleep and took a 2.5 hour nap. She fell asleep in my arms at 8:00am and at 9:30 I had to lay her down so I could go to the bathroom.

Pete and I finally woke her up at 11am so she could have breakfast and we could meet Laura and Brandon in Epcot. We got dressed and she had some Sausage (SaSa) and then we waited for a bus to Epcot. By the time we finally got there Laura and Brandon were done and they met us at the entrance. The LOVED it and said it was just the coolest experience. We posed for some pictures of course before heading to lunch.

We didn't get 20 feet into the park before we saw Daisy! Alyssa LOVES Daisy. We got inline and were up to see her in no time.

After we saw the Characters we headed to Lunch. Laura and I had lunch at Le Cellier in Canada and Pete and Brandon ate at the Germany Buffett. They drank sooo much beer that afternoon! LOL.

After seeing Goofy we went into Inoventions to cool off some. Laura loved the Fire Exhibit since she is a firefighter. I got her to pose for a picture.

We met back up with the boys and decided to go through Space Ship Earth before we headed back to the Hotel for a nap before the Halloween Party!

Alyssa was sooo tired so we headed back to the All Stars. We got to the nice cool room stripped off our clothes and laid down. Then 2 minutes later I jumped up, put my suit on and Pete and I headed to the pool. We stopped and talked Laura into coming with us while Brandon and Alyssa napped. The pool was sooo awesome! So refreshing!

After our hour or so in the pool we got out and showered and got ready for the night. We headed to the bus and were at the Magic Kingdom in 10 minutes or so. Alyssa was entertaining on the bus. She was acting like a monkey.

We got off the bus and plopped Alyssa in the stroller and guess who was asleep before we walked through the gates. LOL

This was our first Halloween Party and I was blown away. Main Street looked amazing!

Now let me use this time to tell you to NEVER EVER go on Halloween. It was more packed then I have ever seen the Magic Kingdom. It was aweful. I think the fact that it was still 95 degrees didn't help.

We headed up Main Street and was just in awe of the Halloween Decorations. We ran into some Evil STep Sisters on our way to the Haunted Mansion.

We decided since Alyssa was Asleep we would ride some rides and watch the second Parade. Jenna, Sandy and Vanessa all watched the first parade. I was sad to not spend more time with my friends this trip, but it was so busy!

Laura and Brandon went on the haunted mansion first, then the line trippled! Pete and Just decided to skip it and we got some water and people watched. Once Laura and Brandon were done we headed through Fantasyland to Cosmic Rays to get some dinner. We were starving. We hit up all of the Candy Stations on the way.

We saw "NoWhite" but the line was so long and Alyssa was still asleep. after seeing Jenna's pictures I wish we would have waited.

Once inside we sat right next to Sonny Eclipes and it was sooloud. Alyssa woke right up. We all ate and then walked around some, got some more Candy and got amazing spots for the fireworks!

After the Fireworks I took off to save us a spot for the parade. Pete said it was too hot to sit on the ground so i was trying to get a bench over near the Liberty Tree Tavern. ON the way I found my favorite Witch and her friend Minnie.

We got our spot. Alyssa Laura and I sat on the ground and Pete and Brandon took the bench. I hate saving seats. I hate mean peole who get mad at you for saving seats. But I did it! LOL

I had brough glow sticks and Laura brought Alyssa's light up pumpkin from last year. She was set.

After the parade Alyssa was beat so we headed towrads the castle to get a spot for the Villain show and Laura and Brandon and Alyssa head back to go to bed! The Villian show was GREAT!

YAY today is the Day we move to the Treehouse Villas! We all slept in some since this was our "day off" and we had nothing to do until Check in Time!

Once Everyone got up Laura, Brandon and Alyssa went to explore the resort while I packed up our room and layed around some.

We went and gave all of our luggage to Guest Services to transfer to our new hotel and then Pete, Alyssa and I went to play on the play ground while Laura and Brandon went to use our free 30 minutes of play that we got with our resort packages.

We did not rent a car so we took the bus to Downtown Disney, then we Transfered to the Saratoga Springs bus. It was almost nap time and one little Princess was getting tired. Once at Saratoga Springs we had to find the front desk and check in. Laura and I went to check in and the boys and Alyssa hung back and looked around the lobby. We told the CM checking us in that the boys didn't know we were staying at the Treehouses. They helped us sweeten the surprise some. They got bell services to drive us in a big golf cart to our "room". They were also very sorry about the mix up and sorry were were all forced to share one room now. LOL All part of the plan! The boys thought we each had seperate rooms. So we start driving to the treehosues and they are FOREVER away from the main building. The whole way we are complaining about the "mix" up and I told everyone I will get it straight when I call the guy we rented points from soon as we get to our room. Once we enter the Treehouse Section Brandon looks at me and smiles and says we are staying HERE? LOL We got a great location. I requested to be near the Boat launch. Simple request, but it was done on purpose. The Boat Launch is also near the pool and the bus stop! They met our request no problem. We walked in and were in awe. It was sooo cool in there.

After exploring some Alyssa went down for a nap and Pete and I took the Ferry to get a bit to eat. The Ferry drops you off right at the main building where the shop and the food are located. We both had Chicken Sandwiches and picked up a Pizza to take back for Alyssa.

After we got back to the room we rested and showered and rested. LOL

Then it was time to get to the Poly for our dinner at Ohana. We took the boat to the front then we got a cab from there. It took so long to get anywhere from the Treehouses.

Pete and I strolled out of the Poly after wishes and took a cab back to the tree houses. We were tired and just didn't feel like taking the monorail to the Magic Kingdom, then a Bus to Saratoga Springs then a Bus to the Treehouses!

Day 4 - November 2, 2009

So I am going to finish this...If only so alyssa has record of her first trip!

Today was out day at Epcot. We didn't rush to get up, we kinda took our time as we were getting more tired as the trip went on.

Alyssa loved the room with the bunk beds.

We got dressed and headed to the boat launch to head up to the main area for Breakfast.

Once we were at the boat launch we only had about a 6 or 7 minute wait for a boat. I loved having the boat option.

We were all hungry so we got in line and got some breakfast. Then we sat and ate. Alyssa loves her SaSa (Sausage) so that is what she had. I think I had a breakfast sandwich.

We hopped on a bus and were at Epcot in no time.

Once we were finally out of there an hour or so later...The line was nuts that day...we headed to the Seas with Nemo and Friends. "Dory" is one of ALyssa's favorite movies. So we knew she would like the ride.

She loved it! Pete and I had seen it on our Honeymoon, but it was a first for my sister and her family.

As soon as that ride was over we went to Turtle Talk and walked right in. It was great. So nice and dark and cool....you know the perfect Nap setting...Yup 3 minutes into Turtle Talk and Alyssa was OUT!

We headed over to the Land and my Sister and Brandon threw a fit when the guard told them they couldn't take the stroller in. They didn't understand why. LOL So I offered to sit with sleeping Alyssa and let them go ride soaring. It was like a 60 minute wait. We set up shop on the benches right inside the doors. Pete ran and got us a snack, some fruit and cheese. It was nice to sit and talk.

Alyssa woke up after about an hour or so. We stored the stroller and went down to get her something to eat.

She got Pasta Salad and fruit and a Drink.

When my sister and Brandon came they got a small salad and then we left the Land. We went to ride Figment! So cute.

Look the pirate smile is back...LOL Aurora spent atleast 7 or 8 minutes with Alyssa. They talked and had a good time. After it was done and the next kids finally got their turn Alyssa wouldn't let us leave. We had to stand there for 15 minutes and just watch and wave. It was sooo cute!

When we finally drug her away we got in line to meet Marie and while in line we ran into Jenna and Bobby! I was so excited one of my "Disney Birdes" got to meet Alyssa.

We stopped and talked to the DVC People. I want to buy in sooo bad. I am mad because if we didn't have bills to pay off and home improvements we could totally have bought in with our tax return and paid in FULL!

After that we went into the store and got some stuff....A shirt and Socks for Alyssa a Car Mickey for me and some pins for Pete.

Then we went to the Candy shop to use some snack credits. We got Alyssa the cutest Dory Cookie that stained her lips blue. We also got some fundge and an Ice Cream Cone to share.

I love the Magic Kingdom. It is my Happy Place. I love it as much as my friend Tracy Wui hates it...LOL It is just Magical. I woke up ready to go! Alyssa...Not so much!

Nw let me say here that we will not be having breakfast with the princesses for a few more trips. The menu has changed and it was no where near as good. It is ALOT of money for what you get, but great service, great breakfast and great princesses have always justified it. This time, not too much! Now don't get me wrong it is AMAZING to be in the castle and awesome for so much face time with the princesses. I can't wait until I have a princess to take.

It was lunch time...Peco's Bills. This is when Pete informed me he never wants to do regular dining again. He said that it was like being cattle all jammed in. He hated it. LOL He said table services were the only way to go. We all had burgers and luckily got a table with out too much trouble.

I get so emotional when I think about disney world, its just such a happy place to be to get away from everyday life.
I am so happy to be going again, and we had the same princesses when we went in nov. to the princess castle for lunch. the menu is yummy, but I agree, you do feel rush rush rush!

We woke up, but didn't rush too much. We were starting to get tired! Today was our Hollywood Studios day. We didn't have a lot planned to do this day as the heat was starting to get to us. I don't know how people do it in the summer or early fall. No Thank you!

I really enjoyed staying at Saratoga Springs. It was alot of fun! It sure as heack beat the beginning of the trip at the All Star Movies. LOL I am a hotel snob now. The All Stars just don't do it anymore. I really hated the Music when I went in December. That sealed it. From now on if I am in need of a filler night at a value resort it will be the Pop Centry for sure.

We went to check in for lunch at the 50's Prime Time Cafe. Alyssa had a mini meltdown. She was hot and tired. She fell asleep by the time we made our way over to check in.

So we were in the Cab (We used alot of Cabs staying at the Tree Houses, but it was soo worth it).....We pulled up to the Grand Floridian and Pete asked me if we were eating at Narcossee's? I told him Nope? He was still wondering.

Pete was in shock. He had no idea this was an option.

Now this was a TON of food. We ate maybe half and we were there for over 3 hours. We talked and laughed and remembered the wedding. The Butler took his time and was never in the way. He left us alone alot. We did talk to him about being on the private dining team. He has done it for over 20 years and loves it. He told us all about the rich people who stay at the Grand Floridian. He said after 30 days you have to check out and check back in. He also told us about the rich people who come with their nannys and stuff. He was a great guy!

As he brought out desert Wishes started. It was perfect! We had a great view and we snuggled up and enjoyed the show. I didn't tak emany pictures during Wishes at all. I wanted to enjoy my time with my boy!

Jay, I had requested Howard per your recomendation. He was AMAZING! He told us about his boys and so much fun stuff about the Grand Floridian. He was personable, but not in our face! He remebered you and Stich's birthday! He said he was hoping to see you for your next Birthday Celebration. He was GREAT!

Oh the Truffle French toast was the BEST thing I have ever eaten in my life. It was almost garlic bread tasting, but with creamy sauce and shrimp and differant mushrooms. OMG I want more right now. It was soooo good! That was the one thing we finished every mouthful of!

Thank you again for your guidence! It was an unforgetable night!

Also tha nk you for the compliment on my dress. It was the sundress I wore to dinner the night of our wedding. I thought it was fitting to wear it on our first anniversary!

We were at Disney that same week... boy was it HOT! And we literally could've bumped into you at the last Villians show at MNSSHP... we were there meeting characters until the very end as well.

We were so excited to start the cruise part of our vacation! I was up early and finished packing up any last minute items.

Our taxi was right on time at 9:15am and we headed off to Port Canaveral.

We got to the port around 10:30ish and went right to check in. It was smoth as usual. My sister and I got our rooms switched so that we could be next to each other. Since we booked Cat. 12 rooms we ended up with room assignements on differant ends of the ship. But once they switched us we were cneter ship and right next to each other! Perfect!

While I was taking care of that Alyssa met with some Characters.

We had to sit and wait maybe 15-20 minutes for our boarding number to be called. It was no where as nice as the No. 2 we got for being a wedding couple last year. I think we were in group 7 or 8.

We had lunch in Parot Cay. I like it better then the buffet upstairs since they get you your drinks. One less thing to worry about carrying around.

After lunch we walked around a bit and then it was almost 1pm. We headed towards our rooms.

It is like a secret Santa....We got lots of Music CD's and Pens and Pirate Patches! It was alot of fun.

The Doors are Metal, except for the Cat. 1 doors. I guess if you are paying 7K for 3 nights of cruising they feel you can have a wood door! LOL

Cruising is AMAZING!!!! It is my favorite vacation! We are heading on a 7 night cruise in January! I am so excited. I wish January wasn't so far away!

Today Pete and I decided we had seen the port of Nassau before and wanted to enjoy some ship time. Laura and Brandon planned a couples massage for the morning and Pete, my Dad and I got extra Alyssa time!

Alyssa and my Dad loved the Top Bunk. We were all lazy this morning.

We got a few more fish extender gifts today. Look at my Dad. In his hand is a pair of slippers shaped like the ship. My sister and I bought these as a gift for him at least 10 years ago. He still has them and only uses them while we are on vacation. People always ask were he got them since they are no longer for sale on the ship.

After naps we headed up to go swimming a bit. It was nice and relaxing. That is what I love about DCL most. The relaxing. LOL

While we got ready for pirate night Laura took Alyssa to the kids club. Since she wasn't 3 (or even 2) she couldn't stay and play with the big kids unless mom was there. She had a blast though.

After we hung out for a while we headed down to the club for some Karaoke. This is my friend Edwin's favorite song. I wish he would have been with us. I am sure he would have done a great job singing it.

There was a special group of young adults on the ship with us. They had various levels of mental handicaps. The group (I used to know the name) provides independent living. These young adults were having a blast. they must have all showed up at Karaoke soon as it stated cause no one else was singing. They were getting shots for preforming and were so excited. You could see the bonds they had with their counselors/chaperones. When we got home from the cruise I sent an email to the organization and told them I was honored to share a cruise with such a great group of people.

After Karaoke we walked around the ship. My dad has an unnatural obsession with Ariel. Alyssa knows Areil not at "the Little Mermaid" but as "Popeye's girlfriend. LOL

I was so excited about this day of the cruise. It was Castaway Cay Day! The day I get to return to my wedding spot. We got up early and had a quick breakfast and then headed off the ship.

First stop was the post office to mail a post card to Pete's Parents and to say Hello to these guys!

There was a little girl behind us waiting her turn. It was mine and Pete's turn and the CM said that there was only time for one more person to visit with Minnie. The little girl looked so sad. Pete and I looked at each other and shook our heads and then I told the CM that we would wait for Minnie's replacement and the little girl could visit her. Well this worked out because then Alyssa also got to see Pluto!

I teared up and thought about my day! Pete and I got into the water and he put his arms around me and we recapped our special day. It was nice to be there a few days after our first wedding anniversary in the spot that we pledged our vows to each other.

Pete and I missed the night time fun since we were rushing to pack up the room after the 3 hour meal at Palo. We also went to watch Disney Dreams, but I didn't take the camera. I was sad our trip was coming to an end. Thankfully we rebooked a trip for August 2010. As most of you know we changed that so we could be at WDW with so many of our friends in January 2011.
