I used a 50% coupon at ACM and picked up a set to use in my cuttlebug. Has anyone used these in the cuttlebug? Does it work well? Do I need anything other that my cuttlebug plates?
ACM also has sizzix texture plates -- how about these? Do they work in the cuttlebug? Are they too big?
Last quik cuts embossing folders - -saw them on line and I really like the designs - -anyone try these in the cuttlebug?
I know that some of these are supposed to work in all of the machines, but I'd rather have a first hand account.
Thanks for your help!

ACM has nesties? :faint:
So much for my spending freeze! I've used nesties and sizzix texture plates in my Cuttlebug. For the nesties, you'll need a piece of rubber, let me track down the blog post I used to work with them...

The Sizzix texture plates (starter kits only), come with a rubbery mat that should work for what you need it to do.
Now I want more :sad2:
They are easy to get addicted to. I guess I'm going to ACM this weekend!

Oh, and you only need the rubbery mat if you are going to emboss, you can cut without it. Have fun ;)

Thanks for letting us know about ACM carrying them! (And I'm sure my DH thanks you too...)
We - FINALLY - got our $10 rewards certificates we've been owed for awhile - combining the discount coupon with the certificate - oh my, happy day!!!!
I'll have to check our local ACM out very soon - were yours being stocked near the Cuttlebug folders, etc.? How many different Nestie sets were there?
Jennifer - thanks for the link - I recently picked up some of the Sizzix starter embossing sets on major, major clearance prices and they did come with that rubber mat - so I think I'm all set to join the Nestie group! I love the storage idea described there and already have the components for that.
Somewhere, TinkerBean is laughing, saying "I told you that you'd start buying these too!" She has some and loves them.

In my ACM, the cricut hanging tags and cuttlebug stuff (woefully outdated) are together, next to the sizzix - -but not the new texture plates.
THe nestibilities are on a cube, new shelving in my ACM -- not the endcap, but across from it. The paper aisle is on one side, the stamping stuff on the other.
THe sizzix texture plates are in a cardboard shelving unit out in the main aisle.
The had a large selection, but many were out of stock --they have been there since October I think. They had circles, squares, rectangles, labels, flowers, scallops and more.

Crap! Our ACM doesn't (yet?) have the Nesties, but the manager suggested checking back after they get their truck on Thursday. She said there's "a lot of new scrapbooking stuff coming in!" She hadn't ever heard of them - so I very helpfully explained what they were! :thumbsup2
Z2H will post soon, but she scored a marvy clearance deal there! So, did I - I got the round magnetic embellishment tins - with push-pins in each one - for .30 each. I cleaned the shelf off - and got all 60 there! The rhinestone sorting (using the tins DIT grabbed for me) is going so well, we were thinking we'd use this format for our brads now. We're kinda outgrowing the little drawers we currently allocate...:scared1:
I really hope the Nesties come in this week, as I'd LOVE to use this week's 50% off coupons on them! (Plus my rewards certificate!)

:woohoo:
Danica reporting in with her great deal - our AC Moore has started packaging the clearance paper, and selling it 3$ for a pack of about 30 sheets. They have what looked like Disney packs (I skipped those), and then just assorted packs. I didn't open any to flip through, but looked at what the general color scheme looked like, and picked out 7 of them. 21$ for ~210 sheets, and a lot of it was great paper I didn't know that AC Moore had so much of - Basic Grey, Cosmo Cricket, KI Memories, etc. And there was glittery, frosty, and flocked paper in there too. Overall, a good shopping day.

No deals like that at my ACM but I did pick up the Dahila set of nesties today at 50% off so $12.50:cool1: I am headed back tomorrow and may pick up yet another set. I will try to track down the scrapbooking section worker to see what the deal is...it really does not look like they have any intention of re-stocking these. I guess this was a test market.
