When a friend admires one of your perennials and you haul out the shovel to divide the plant, the half you give away will thrive and flourish while your half will shrivel up and die.

OMG! Ain't it the truth!

Or if you have one that seems sickly and a friend takes it and makes it their own.....bloomin' its head off in their yard. You look like some sort of derelic mom.....unable to take care of your own......
