Question about site assignmet

We are not Disney newbies (been 11 times or so), but this will be our first time at the Fort. My sister and her family (they have 5 kids!) always stay at the fort in their motorhome because Disney hotels don't work for them. This is our 3rd Christmas trip together and our first where we are staying at the Fort.

Anyway... We have a Grand Gathering number and I called today to make sure our "room request" to be side-by-side was on our reservation (it was not, but I was assured it is now fixed).

My question is- is there anything else I can do to help get our sites as close together as possible? Should I fax a room request? I have heard elsewhere that they frown on that. Experiences?

I hope this helps. I'm not sure how the Grand gathering works but your sister should call and have note on her reservation that states she wants to be next to you. Also I have read that there are people that fax in there request a week prior to arrival.

And if all else fails by the time you arrive, "pitch a fit and demand to see a manager ". It's sad to have to do that, but sometimes you havta kick ol Tinkerbell in the butt to get that Pixie Dust to sprinkle.

Then I'd recommend both of you fax a "friendly reminder" about 4-5 days before you arrive at FW. :thumbsup2
