I want to do the happy dance, but she woke up this morning with flu like symptoms.
I don't know what to do. We can't tell the kids we can't go!!! We are going to see the doctor today. Hopefully, they can work some magic.

Best wishes, hopefully they can give her something to knock it out!

Don't panic. Three days is a long time to mend. The body recovers quicker if we do not move around too much and eat pleanty of nourishing foods as well as LOTS of water (hot soup and tea is also good). Make sure she doesn't kiss the kids as illnesses can be transmitted in that way. It may not be the flu, but even if it is, my son had H1N1 and was only down for 2 days. REST REST REST. It's better it happened today than in 3 days.
Hope the doc works his/her magic:wizard:

Will your dr. give you a script for Tamiflu? Both my son and I had H1N1 the week before Thanksgiving...he recovered much fastert than I did, really in 2 days being on Tamiflu....I didn't go to the dr. and I paid the price longer. I hope she feels better soon!!!

They did give my wife Tamiflu. This might sound cruel, but I kind of hope it is the H1N1. My kids were immunized and I believe I had H1N1 this past August. If it's something else, the next one might come down with it in Disney!!!
She's been sleeping all day and drinking fluids. Hopefully, she kicks it soon!

I'm leaving tomorrow, came down with the flu (not H1N1)last Saturday. I went to the doctor Monday. On Tuesday I didn't think there was any way I would be able to go but was a little better on Wednesday and a lot better today so the trip is still on. There's definitely a chance your wife will be well enough for your trip. I hope it all works out ok for you and your family.

I'm so sorry your wife is sick. I know exactly how you feel. Every year at least two of my 3 kids gets sick. My DD 10 has asthma so when she gets sick, it takes literally a month or more for her to get better.
This year, they're okay. The got their illnesses in October and are all well.
I hope your wife gets better before you leave.
