Hi,
I have been a member since early 1992. I am now on my 4th or 5th guide. My first (and frankly my best) guide was promoted. My next 3 left DVC and each time I was assigned a new guide. Usually the new guide will contact you just to let you know that he/she is your new guide. Just call DVC and they can tell you who your guide is. Have fun adding on! :)

We are on our fourth guide since we joined in 1995. Each time the previous guide left or was promoted, the new one called us to let us know. Usually, we are contacted by our guide to inform us when the point cost is going up in case we want to add more points. :)
On my last visit to WDW, I stopped by the BW DVC office to see the VWL mock up rooms. Because my guide was at lunch they "hooked me up" with another DVC CM to give me the whirlwind tour. It was very nice, but quick, and they even had GOOD coffee, lemonade and cookies for us while we waited. :D I counted at least four different parties while I was there at mid-day who were interested in DVC.

Our guide when we bought seemed like a nice fellow and we felt good with the info he gave us. However, we had a couple of qlitches before closing and I made two calls to his voice mail, but never heard from him again. I finally called MS and they directed my call to accounting and got the problem straightened out. I do not feel obligated to ask for him again if I want to add points.

My guide is also Randy Krueger - He's been with Disney since the beginning. We were very pleased w/him since he got us our OKW points even after they sold out and at the old price of $67 - with the use year we wanted. He really came through for us and got us exactly what we wanted. But my understanding is that I won't be dealing much w/him now and in the future as MS handles everything from here.

We met our guide when we toured the DVC at Bwv in Sep 00, We decided not to buy on the spot but to wait until we finished financing our car a few months later, we told David a few days before we left property. He must have thought thats the last we shall hear from them, but I promised to buy in JAN and that is what we have done...

We had Celeste Chaffaut...spoke with her on the phone a few times (was very good about calling us, etc...) but she was unable to make the time we had set up to tour and we ended up with Mary McCarthy. Mary was supposed to call us back about something while we were there and didn't....and we haven't heard from her since our purchase back in Aug. :( I'm considering getting a new guide if we add on.

We also have Linda Streetman who we got as we were refered to her by a friend who also owns DVC. She has kept up on us and our friends. We have even run into her and her husband at Orlando restaurants. She is very good at what she does and personalizes her service. I call every now and then to say hi when in Orlando. She always returns calls and offers help and advice. We have done add ons with her with ease. How Linda can remember all of us, 0ur kids, our jobs etc. is an art and something that makes her successful I am sure. Linda had a baby a few years ago, with one in college too I think!!!! and is still able to take care of her clients. If you need a friendly, helpful guide - ask for Linda!

Anyone have this guide? Also, I remember reading a post that mentioned getting lunch on DVC after a tour...? Yes, No, Maybe?
Here we go...........
Kim Moore is the absolute best. No pressure, very honest. Calls you right back. Gives good advice.
He helped me get my third add-on. Was on the waiting list at BWV, and he encouraged me. Couldn't believe I got it. I wasn't gonna do the wait list at all.
He is like a friend now. Would really suggest anyone interested in in DVC info call him.

Julie is our guide as well and I think she was very helpful to us. We ordered the video and then waited about 5 months before deciding to buy. We got to take the tour as a confirmation and then did the paperwork!

Byron has been our guide since we called him cold in 1993. We saw an advertisment for DVC on the Disney planning video and just called the number. Byron answered and gave us all the info. We bought the first 190 points without even seeing the property, but we have been to WDW many times before and thought that we could not go wrong. Now with 500 points we have more than we could have dreamed and enjoy our trips "Home".

Byron Helgeson also! He's a great guy and very helpful. Actually he told me I was his longest sale. Met him in 1992 (I think) at OKW and took the tour, unfortunately financially wasn't the right time to buy.
May of 2000 my wife and I were WDW celebrating our 25th anniversary and strolled by the DVC offices at BWV and who do you think we saw....Byron Helgeson. Closed the deal that day! Since then we have also picked up an add on!
Carol Ann DeAngelo. I first contact her through a friend who is a DVC member. We talked on the phone but I didn't buy at first. We wait 3 years then visited WDW and took the tour. Met with a DVC Rep and it was Carol Ann. She said once you have spoken to a Rep, you are logged into the computer and assigned that person. When you visit and take the tour, you are shown "the ropes" by that person.

We joined DVC in 1995 and have had the same guide ever since. Greg Cootz is our guide and we think he is great. He is very low pressure, as I am sure everyone is, but really knows his stuff. We have called many times with questions and even if we get his voice mail he calls back promptly. We recently bought another add-on and he made it effortless as usual. He even calls on occassion just to check on us and see if we nee anything. We are very pleased with Greg.

Our first meeting was with Rhonda, sorry, don't remember her last name, in Sept 98. When we went back to view again in Dec 99, we had Greg Cootz. I told him i just wanted updated info and had no intention of buying, he said,"No Problem". I got updated and realized that the points per night did not change (duh on me) and the MB was too good to pass up. We signed all the paperwork and were still out in about the same time frame as other 'high pressure' time shares that we didn't buy.

Wonderful guide. Really no pressure. We contacted her and said we were intrested next year Jan 2001 she called us in 2000 and told us that she knew we wanted BWV and that they were selling out. We still hemmed and hawed for a month or so later (we really wanted to join on our vacation)
She called us one last time and said they were almost gone and she just wanted to let us know and that she wouldn't bother us again, she was just concerned because she knew we only wanted BWV.
We bought and sure enough a week or so later they were sold out.
We were really glad she kept us informed that they were selling out.
nothing but great things to say about her.

I just bought VB through Susan Schell. She was a wonderful person to work with. I had so many questions about the process (including some "What if a hurricane blew down a property") and answered them all and or got back to me so fast with an answer. I'm sure she was tired of me calling for about a week on various questions but never once hinted that she was. She was great! I would highly RECOMMEND her!

Larry Hope is our guide. He's very nice, but we've never met and have only spoken when I called to get information for an add-on at BWV. I think our original guide was James Thomas. He left shortly after our original purchase so I don't remember too much about him, although I was sorry to hear he was no longer with DVC.

We had Larry Hope also...we make sure we stop in or at least call him each time we visit. He was great and keeps us up to date on what's new.

We cold-called Byron and I'm looking forward to many years with him. It is great to see he has such good reviews! (I'm not sure I'd want as many people as are on the Dis boards reviewing my work.) We are filling out the paperwork for 210 pts at OKW and faxing them today! Soon we'll be members too.

We don't have a guide!!! We bought through The Timeshare Store. The name Jim McCoy does sound familiar. We did tour VB a few years back but were busy building a house and couln't buy then. Does Jim McCoy work out of VB? If so, I recall he was very nice.
