I've read about the $199 bike/boat rental deal on these boards and have a few questions. We definitely plan on renting bikes at least one or two times. We hadn't considered boat rentals before but it does sound like fun. I'm just wondering if anyone has the prices for these activities so I could compare with the $199 deal to see if it's worth it for us for the amount of time we would realistically use it. Also, is there a DC or AP discount on any of these activities? I know boats are probably rented by the hour but what about bikes? Can you rent them for the day? One more thing, if you rent the bikes/boats for the week, do they reserve certain bikes for your family that are "yours" for the week, or do you just pick up a different one everytime you go to the rental spot (I'm just asking because we would need one with a baby seat and one with training wheels)? Thanks so much!

I am not going to be a huge help here, but I will answer what I can. DH and I rented watermice in May. I think we paid about $25 for 1/2 hour. (you get a 10% discount w/DVC) So in our case we spent $50 in 1/2 hour because we each had a watermouse with one of our children. So in 2-3 hours time we could have made use of the unlimited plan and come out even. They also have pontoon boats that the whole family could ride on together. They don't reserve a certain bike for you, you just take what is there when you go. They seem to have several types of bikes. The have bikes with training wheels and the child carrier on the back of the adult bikes. For some reason I don't think the surrey bikes are included in the unlimited plan. (I could be wrong). If you were going to boat and bike much, I don't think it would take long to come out ahead. Hopefully someone else can give you some more info. Have a great time on your trip!
