Is anyone flying into Sanford Airport?

Thanks to Olga (Mskanga), I can get a terrific rate ($133, including all taxes and fees!) for my trip to DIS-CON, but the drawback is that Southeast flies into Sanford/Orlando International, instead of MCO. Frank found me a great taxi service that will cost me $19 one way from the airport to WDW. The flight times are perfect, too. They fly out in the morning and they fly home at night, plus it's a non stop flight! Is anyone else flying into Sanford and is it really that important to fly into MCO? :confused:

Barb, as you know I'm flying into Sanford too and the times are perfect for me too, but when I get there I decided to rent a car for five days for $91 , this way if I want to take a quick drive to Orlando I can.
Isn't it great?? I can't wait to go...are we there yet??

I think a lot of charter flights from England come into Sanford. THe only drawbacks I have herard are that they have fewer rental car companies and it is a longer commute to WDW. Sanford is on the North side of Orlando.

LOL John, then I do have a bit of a dilemna. When traveling to DIS-CON by commercial flight, I usually bring my super sized, heavy duty, extra huge suit case. :eek: ;) I have seriously been trying to pack lighter. But it never seems to happen. I think it's all those tiara's I bring with me. ;) :p :p
I knew it was a farther north, but still can't decide if the price and everything else is worth it.

So, what's the airport code for Sanford? If it costs me less, with better flight times, I'll go there! I don't plan to spend much time in the airport anyhow! :D

I've been looking and from what I've been able to find so far, I'd have to fly out of Newark, NJ. I really don't want to have to drive through NY traffic to do that, so it looks like that may not be an option for me. Too bad because we're planning our 1st few days of our DIS-CON trip to be spent house hunting north of Orlando.
So far all the flights I've been able to find are around $250/pp. After my $80/pp round trip flights last year I just can't get myself to pay that much! :earseek: I'll have to keep on looking. I'm sure something better will come up. :D
