Does anyone know what connections the LCD TVs have? I should be getting a slingbox for Christmas (a bit before actually!) and it would be good to connect the laptop to the TV for Christmas day telly!

Preferably HDMI as it's easiest but think I've got the right cable if it's composite.

Cheers in advance.

Hmmmm, as an owner, I am not a fan of people fiddling, especially as the DVD's and things are rigged up. If you are in a refurb unit, they have flat screens with HMDI connections. The older TVs do not. So it depends what unit you are in.

I don't think plugging something into the spare socket of a TV counts as fiddling but thanks for the answer. TVs these days are designed to have a range of devices plugged into them such as camcorders and even mobile phones. It's what they're there for so seems rude not to use the function! I won't hurt it, I promise!:worship:

It's not that, it is just they are in wooden cupboards where there is not a lot of space to get in and connect a device.
