The last 3 years it has been available on the Interwebs. I get it even on the years I don't go just to make myself feel worse :rotfl:

We get the waiver card (with bib number) electronically. You will print it, sign it and bring it to the expo. The program is electronic, also. It's cool but not as cool as a hard copy. The hard copy will be in your race packet. These will generally come out on the same day, sometime in December.

I got an email today from my charity that I am running for and they said they are mailing out packets next week (at least I think that is what I think I saw - LOL) makes it seem more real.

Okay, help me out here, since this is our first time. They are gonna mail me a packet and bib and everything? Or just a sheet that lets me pick up my packet at the expo?? or send me an email or something?? HELP!! Just so I know what to expect.
On another positive note, our cruise documents came yesterday, so if more packets/documents are coming my way, its good to know.
Thanks all!

They will send out an email and we will download our waivers from their website. Sign/date it and take it to the Expo where we will be given our bibs. Take the bib to another section and get our goody bag which will have our shirts and programs in them. :)
last year the bibs were in the milk house and you walked across to the ACK! my mind went blank on the other buildings name LOL but the one that has the restaurant attached to it. which was where the vendors, disney marathon weekend merchandise and our goody bags were located.
on thursday expect a line up before the opening of the expo.
volunteers checked in at that same building with the restaurant but that was as you walked thru the turn styles the volunteer entrance was on your right. keep walking and there is a walkway to the JOSTENS Center! Ahhh I remembered! which lead to the Expo.
Pre-paid pins, chEAR packages and the VIP tent were all also located in the Milk House in 2009.
Can't wait for the waivers to be released!!!!

I was searching through my email thinking that I had missed something.
Diane - How big are the lineups at the expo on Thursday? I'm just wondering if it's better to go first thing in the morning and line up or wait until the afternoon.

In 2008 I made sure I was there in the first hour of the expo opening on Thursday and it was very quick. By the time I left the expo to line was out the door.
I would recommend to anyone that they be there at opening as it will be the quickest you get through.

Frank you're killing me and all the others who come and do the Disney thing by standing in line just after breakfast on Thursday.
Seriously, the line will start to form at least a couple hours early. It's not bad but will grow dramatically just before the scheduled opening. If you walk up at opening time plan on 30-40 minutes to get to the bib table. (less time than waiting in line) They have on occasion opened the doors early, but do not count on that. I find that the line is nonexistent about 2-3 pm on Thursday. The expo will be a little crowded in the afternoon but most selections are available through the first day. The exception is if they offer a limited edition pin at various times through the expo. Not a draw for me but it did add pressure to the Thursday crowd.

Thanks Frank & Charles! I was there last year around 1PM on Thursday. I don't remember many lines... except for the limited edition pins. Not sure I'll do that again

Thanks for clearing this up for me!! Something else to look forward to!!
We are arriving at MCO at noon or so on Thursday, then heading to the resort and off to the expo. How late is the expo open on Thursday? FIL and I are excited about checking out all the stuff.

Count me as not so anxious. I still have two more races to complete before then. :teeth:
I went to the expo last year on Thursday afternoon. As Charles said - no line at all. I was quite surprised. Some WISHers that went earlier in the day told me how crowded it was. I guess I was just lucky.
ryley26 - are you staying on site? If so, there will be busses that will take you there. When you check in, they'll tell you where the busses are located.

Just want to add that the Expo/Marathon busses are charter busses NOT the WDW park busses. Depending on where you are staying the marathon busses may share the same bus stops or may be in different areas (generally the case for resorts with convention faciliites). All on property resorts will have bussing including the dolphin and swan.
If you are not on property the expo is located at the Wide World of Sports. By far it's easier to bus in as the parking lot is always full.

What about those arriving Thursday night? How are the lines on Friday?

It's kind of crowded. Think about when the peak demand would occur... at opening, during lunch and just after work. Most other times the line is not bad but the expo can get crowded.

I like getting there when they first open on Thurs. May have an hour wait but usually passes quickly while talking with friends. You than get into all of the lines and expo before getting really busy. Get first choice of all merchandise.

Waivers were up on 12/6 last year.
The program was right after that online.
FYI: Disney had used Nxtbooks before but didn't for DL 1/2. Looked like an emplyee scanned it. Much poorer quality. Very noticeable when printed out. Disney is obviously cost cutting.
