I probably can't use the volunteer day ticket?

For some reason, I thought you would be able to sign up sooner at least to do the service, even though I knew you couldn't do the service unitl January1. It looks like on the website you sign up after January 1, do the service, then get the confirmation e-mail in 2 weeks. Our plane leaves January 23rd. Plus, we live in a small town so wherever I go I will have to drive probably. Oh well.
