View Full Version : Confusing about dinner in the park.

Hey guys! Sorry if this has been repeated, but I have two main concerns about meals in the park
1) We have the standard meal vouchers from the Santa Fe, but I am right in understand we can book any restaurant not included in the vouchers, (apart from mcdonalds, planet hollywood, rainforest and ludwigs) and then use the vouchers as a method of payment? I.e. contributing more €'s if it comes to more than the vouchers are worth?
2) What is the typical time to have dinner? We are going from the 17th to the 21st, with the parks closing at 7 on the first two days. Does this mean that we will have to have dinner around 4-5? Seems very early to me, especially as we have to fit in lunch somewhere!
Cheers everyone :)

You don't need to eat in the park for your evening meal, you can eat at the restaurants in the Village - Annettes has a Standard set meal - or at the hotels.

Ah yeah sorry, I knew this - sorry I didn't make myself clear. It just seems that the parks have the most exciting and themed restaurants! Which is all part of the experience I feel.

The short answer is yes, if you want to eat dinner in the restaurants in the parks, and the parks close at 7pm, you will have to be at your restaurant of choice by about 4pm.
But - don't discount the onsite hotel restaurants, Annettes, and Cafe Mickey in the Village. You can use your vouchers at face value in all of those. And they are all open until very late in the evening.
I have a couple of hotel restaurants I still haven't tried for dinner, which are on my "to-do" list, including Hunters Grill at the Sequoia Lodge, and I loved the buffet meal we had at the Cape Cod in the NBC.

i rang reservations earlier today for my trip next week, when the park also closes at 7. They told me the latest you could book to eat in the park is 3.45

Ah cheers guys, sorry to be a pain but a couple of more things!
Any hotel/village restaurants that you can recommend!? Me and my girlfriend are pretty big on the themed ones if possible! and...
Any idea what time the last booking in the parks would be when it closes at 10?
Thanks a million :)

For me I would say Annettes (Disney Village) and Inventions (DLH). Annettes is themed 50's style and the waiters/waitresses buzz around on roller skates and about every half an hour there is a singing and dancing on the tables - with lots of clapping and cheering from the customers. Inventions has excellent food, Disney characters and the lovely setting and atmosphere of the Disneyland Hotel.

For theming it has to be the Blue Lagoon, very romantic and if you request a table 'on the beach' you can wave at the riders of POTC as they pass by. :)
