Is it possible to save our purchases up over the week we are at WDW and then have a store there ship them home, like the World of Disney? I know we've had individual purchases shipped home before, but it would be more economical and efficient to send a couple of packages versus say five or six. Has anyone had luck with this? Thanks!

We did when we stayed at SSR. We took all our Disney purchases to the store at the resort and they shipped it for us. I believe they gave us the box and we had to pack it up ourselves, than they ship it.
I don't know the rules or if every resort does it or the stores; sorry :confused3

We shipped everything on the last day we were there. We were allowed to choose to ship by value or weight. We picked value since the picture frames were heavy. I loved this option!!! We were able to get all of our purchases together and decide what we were taking and what we were shipping. I think you can do it from every hotel gift shop.

Good luck!

The business centers at all the convention resorts have boxes and can ship stuff for you, too.

Is it only the convention hotels that will ship? I am staying at ASMo.

Thanks!

Go to guest services and ask, but that is my understanding.

Last time that we were there I shipped a large box to myself at ASMovies. I then used the same rather large box, to ship stuff back home. Believe it or not, most of it was dirty clothes and a potty seat, but I am sure that you can ship items that you purchased too! Hope this helps!!:thumbsup2

I had the concierge at POR ship a box for me in October. It was great - I had some purchases, plus some personal stuff to ship home. I think it's much cheaper if you combine everything in one box, rather than have a bunch of separate small shipments.

Does anyone know if the cost to ship is standard rates, or does disney add to the cost?

At the business centers, you can pick from any of the "big 3", USPS, UPS or FedEx.

It was really inexpensive for the VERY large box that I shipped home, so I suspect that they do not add a surcharge. I used the concerige desk to ship mine.

We stay at POR and they have shipped for us. We just took what we had bought and wanted shipped to the store along with their receipts. They will not ship food/drinks but all your other packages.

in Dec. 2008 we stayed at Pop Century. Part of the way through our stay they had a great sale on all Christmas stuff. I kind of got carried away buying ornaments and on the way back to the resort my DH says" now, how are you going to get those home?" (We live in Oregon) I told him I would figure it out. What I did was go to the front desk and they took care of everything. They said they deal with it all the time. They even packed it all for me. It was eight large ornaments and I think it was only $15 including insurance to ship it to Oregon. They arrived about a week later in perfect condition.:goodvibes

We had purchases shipped from WL the night before we left and they boxed and took care of everything. We have also had a box of stuff shipped from Mouse Gears in Epcot...I sort of got really carried away in there
