So I got to Michael's at 4:00pm for their 5:00pm opening, not a soul was to found except me. It was such a nice day, that I decided to get out of my SUV and take a short walk. I stayed close to the store, wow I'm glad I did. Within no time at all, peopel started to drive up. I decided to go ahead and go the store, making me first in line.
Within 10 minutes, there were over 50 women in line. You could hear everyone talking about the Cricut.. :love:As soon as the door opened there was a mad rush for the Cricut isle, woman were grabbing anything and everything. Um, yes me too.. I did every cart that I was after. I think all of the women did. they did have a lot to chose from.
With that my BF shoppng is done.. I get to sleep in tomorrow. Plus they are calling for a rainy cold windy day here.
We arrived at our M's at 4:45, I was the first in line too! I was trying to stage a coop to rush the doors early but BAMB and MomK wouldn't let me. They're no fun.;)
When M's was about to open the door, they asked if anyone was there for the Gypsy, no one was. They seemed surprised no one was coming for the sale of the Gypsy and the bonus being offered with it.
I did get everything I wanted and then some.

I was with BAMB, MomK and Lisa. Got no cricut carts. Figured with the $100 I had on cricut.com from my gypsy purchase no sense in getting any.
I did get 5 configurations of the jetmax (I think that is what they are called) cubes. I was only going to get 4, but then Lisa convinced me I needed the 5th one. :lmao: Probably a good thing since they were 55% off. Didn't get to use the 30% since it was a bonus deal, but still a great deal. Can't wait to put them together and get organized.
Those cubes aren't set up and storing stuff yet?! ;)

Nope. Watching Up. Somebody wants 'hold me'. She is hanging on pretty tight. Don't think I am going to be able to do anything, except sit with her and play on the puter. ;)

wait they wouldn't let you use the coupon?? that stinks!!
Kitty, I'm glad you were able to get what you wanted! I was worried when you said mad rush, I don't want you to get bumped around. Glad the weather was nice, it was nice here too.
There was no real mad rush this year but I think it was because they changed the times from last year. There were a lot of people there when we were leaving.
I picked up:
Winter Wonderland
Pagoda
and From My Kitchen
I opted to put back Designers Calendar and Old West. I will get those later.
DH asked how much I spent and then he said Happy Birthday! So I don't have to put any under the tree. So who knows, maybe I'll get a few more from Santa!

They're no fun.;)
I am NOT getting black listed from Turkey Day sales, thank you very much. Besides the Kid wasn't there and neither was the chick in PJ's and rollers. Who were we supposed to blame the flatulence noises on?????

Peep, I hope Miss K feels better soon. I am sure only cuddling with Mom will make her feel better.

Glad you got what you wanted.. I picked up all of the Disney carts..:woohoo: Keep in mind I am still very new to scrapbooking. Now about being bumped around that is the last thing that I need. I have an icisional hernia that will need a surgical repair, they will do it in about two months, as they have to switch my anti-rejection meds around. So I was very happy to get to go to Michael's and do some shopping!

Just got Dino tracks, the snowflake and snowman limited edition winter carts, 4 A2 cuttlebug folders and replacement blades for 94 cents! :cool1: and no shipping. Guess it was a black Friday sale on cricut.com Thank you Miss Gypsy! ;) I wanted to get From my kitchen but it was out of stock. Maybe Js will have it on Saturday! ;)
BAMB, they would not let me use the coupon because it was one of the bonus buys and it said you could not use a coupon on it. Not a big deal. Still got a GREAT deal on those.
And peep, I did find my card in my OTHER jacket pocket! Oye Vey! :sad2:

Not fun about the hernia but I'm glad they are at least waiting until after the holidays to do it. Why switch the meds? The ones you are taking are working right?
So when do you start staying home or has that already started?

I just got home from working tonight at Michaels. We were very very busy with people buying multiple shopping carts full of stuff. I had one lady come through with 4 carts full of stuff.
As for my shopping, I gave DH & DS a list of what I wanted incase I didn't get a chance to shop. I got some Iris boxes, some jetmax cubes, and Winter Woodland, Old West, and Sweet Treats cricut cartridges.
We had about 40 people rush in as we opened the doors tonight and 3/4 of them went straight to the rack we had in the front of the store with the Cricut cartridges. The poor guy who was trying to keep it stocked couldn't get near it!!!

Well last night we went to ACM to check out some of the things they had on sale - i was looking at their version of JetMax- turns out they are Jetmax - and the manager, who just happened to be a former 6th grade student of mine, asked if I wanted to buy them. I showed him the Michael's ad for tonight in CT and he matched their prices- so i came home with 6 cubes, a 4 bin shelf and the Designer Calendar cart.
Tonight my DS and DD rode down to CT to Michael's - talk about crowded - got another Jetmax, the Paisley cart, and money in my wallet (well, a little anyway)!!!
I am sleeping late in the morning!!!!

well i went to the michaels in Newington --- was going to head to manchester but didnt make it.
I grabbed stand and salute to do some cubscout stuff for Logan
also had pasiley in my hand but put it back becuase my father called and asked what i was doing... i told him i was at michaels drooling over the gyspy and he told me to GET IT FOR A BIRTHDAY/CHRISTMAS gift!!!!!
now if i could just figure out how to register the dam thing --- i would go online and get my $100.00 cricut credit and order the dino tracks i wanted
this is going to be great for crops -- now i dont have to lug all my carts.
