is it completely unrealistic to think I could get something arranged?

I don't think it is impossible, but you will have to do some fast work. I would contact a member on the rent/trade board pronto and see if there are accomadations available for the time you want to go. It may be a little tough because of Spring Break, but you never know until you call.
