My favorite thing to do when I stayed at the GF was to get up in the morning and watch the sunrise from my balcony!

We're staying in a preferred view studio in april/may, and I was wondering, from which "view" (bdwk, quiet pool...) can you watch the sunrise??

Thanks!!! :)

You need to be facing towards the front of the building, I believe...

I believe you would actually have to get a standard view facing the parking lot. I'm not positive on this but seem to remember going to get the bus to AK and it being very sunny at the front of the hotel. I hope this helps.

We overlooked the quiet pool and I took photos of the sunset.

Sounds like looking out the "front" is the way to go. You may be blocked by the BWI building. If a sunrise is what you are after, try it over the golf course at OKW or the best ever, over the ocean at Vero!

The drive coming accross the bridge is roughly north. The best sun rises rooms are the long hike and looking at the parking lot. Also a nice view of Epcot firworks down there.

thanks for all the replies! Looks like I probably won't be able to see the sunrise, being in a preferred view studio! pretty ironic, huh???

Oh well, maybe I'll get lucky and have a view of spaceship earth!!! :)

Princess Angel.

This is one of my favorite Disney pictures! It comes off of my VHS camcorder, so it's not all that great, but it's SO pretty to me...

As you can see, we had a Boardwalk view. We've had one 3 or 4 times, now, so I'm not exactly sure where this particular room was, but it's obvious it was down towards Atlantic Dance.

That's the sun coming up just next to the Eiffel Tower.

I "love" to get up early and take pictures of the sunset. I've done that before in an Ocean-View Inn room at Vero, as well.

Hope you enjoy - and good luck on getting your view!!

Try this link for Beth's Photo it works. (Geocities doesn't let you link direct to the photos)

Nice shots Beth. Next time we run a photo contest you have to join in!

She proves you can get a sun rise form a board walk view!

Ask for a BW view down by Atlantic Dance. I got an error message when I used Bennet's link the first time but I was able to get to Beth's web site by deleting the pics.html from the address. Here's a link (http://www.geocities.com/dvcmbrokw). When I tried it again, it worked fine. Oh well.
I heard it can get a bit noisy by those rooms. You might not get any sleep and you won't be able to get up for the sunrise. :D
Good job Beth. I guess you showed us know it alls who thought you couldn't see the sunrise from the preffered view rooms.

One more thing Beth:

If your only waking up when the sun is setting, I want to party with you! :D

Yeah, DVCdudes - you caught me! I live on the west coast of Florida - so all we ever get to see if the sunset!

Sorry about the geocities link, guys - I posted all of those pictures with a VHS camcorder and a WebTV unit.

I didn't realize geocities didn't link right, anymore. When I get to work on Monday - I'll make sure to download those pictures.

Glad you liked 'em, anyway...
