Cali,

Thanks for offering your assistance. We would be traveling Dec 2003 (value season) I am just trying to get a ballpark figure.
Gf B2 suite
Bc 2 bdr
YC Turret
CTR vice presidential/presidential/2 bdr Mk view/deluxe garden
BWI Deluxe Hospitality / Deluxe 2 bdr
Cs 2 BDR Executive

Do you know if they ever discount the suite's with codes or ap's.

We are trying to decide if we would be better off to rent dvc points for a 1 bdr and a couple of studios or Take the plunge and get a suite.

Thank's again

Torismom....just some unsolicited advice. We are also going down in December. Initially, we reserved a 2 bedroom at OKW. We posted a "need points" post on the DVC thread and ended up getting a 2 bedroom at the BCV for $1800 (5 nights). You may have a hard time getting DVC points/reservation for December, since that's a hugely popular DVC vacation time....but there are cancellations and/or slots available. It may be worth checking in to. We just confirmed the deal last week. Good luck to you!

For comparison, booking from Disney (not renting points) a 2-bedroom at a DVC resort would range from $532-$605 (tax included) compared to the GF 2-bedroom at $1,837 per night. There are very few accomodations that equal a 2-bedroom DVC resort and I certainly would give it some consideration before spending triple the price on a suite.

I am sure we will be renting points again. We stayed in a one bdr at BWV Dec 2001 and it was wonderful. I am sure we will be doing the same for Dec 2003. I love the dvc resorts. This time I think we will do a 1bdr, and 2 studios. Thank you all for the great suggestions.

I was taken aback with the prices on the suites, I didnt think they would be that much, LOL

Just a reminder that a two-bedroom at BWV is a studio and a one-bedroom. (Same at the other DVC resorts but you must specify that you want a "lock-off" vs. a dedicated). If you rent them seperately, it's more points. For example, in early December a studio is 12 points weekdays and a one-bedroom is 22 points (34 points total). A 2-bedroom is 30 points.
