DVC meetings

Do they still hold member meetings on Thurs. mornings at the community hall at BWV's? What time? Do they still give prizes for answering different questions? Thanks!

NJ, when we were there in December we split our stay between OKW and BWV. We did have a phone
message that there was a meeting at the community center to let members know what was in the future for DVC and of course a chance to add points. I believe that the meeting was at 8am. The only trouble is, I can't remember if the message was at OKW or BWV. But, I would think that if they had a meeting at one, they would have it at the other.

Are you a DVC member?

We were there in Sept. at the BWV's, they did have a meeting (not sure what day it was though) they served a continental breakfast and did have prizes. I got a DVC beach ball, but that was cause he was making fun of Boston accents NOt realizing I was from Boston, so I made him give me a ball for my 2 yr old daughter lol <IMG WIDTH="15" HEIGHT="15" SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif" alt="razz">

I know that they have members meetings on Tues. at OKW and Thurs. at BWV. What about VWL? Since they have no Community Hall that I am aware of will they ever do this? Anyone that has stayed there hear of one?

Yes, we are members. We attended the meeting last May. I was just wondering if they are still holding them on Thursdays.

They'll probably figure something out at VWL...it is a sales pitch. :)

Pam, I know that it is a sales pitch. We have been a number of times before. I actually consider it a high point of the trip. I love meeting other members and the free rolls and coffee aren't bad either. I have even met a number of DIS members while at these meetings. It is really fun to chat with people from the board who are members too. I guess that I will have to forego the meeting this trip since I haven't heard of anyone mentioning that VWL has one. I really like the trivia questions with prizes that they do too!

Eva, I know you are familiar with the meetings and were looking forward to them. I was just suggesting that since there's something in it for DVC as well ($72 per point sales) that they may find someplace at VWL to hold the meetings. As you know, they hold them in a beach house at Vero instead of the smaller activity center. Maybe there is a meeting room or suite in WL itself where they'll start to hold meetings.

How about it folks who have been to VWL. Any member meetings?

Our home is VWL. We stayed there for a week in February. No one said anything about a meeting and nothing was listed anywhere. These postings are the first I have heard of meetings.
