hi all disbrides!! (and disgrooms! :thumbsup2) i have been lurking around here for a while now and have loved reading through everyones plans and stories!! i now think it's time for me to join in (i know it's not till 2012.. but i'm just too excited!!!) and let you all know a bit about me, my DF and some of our plans for our very own dream disney wedding!!! yay exciting!! :cheer2:

our story:

my names trudy and my DF's name is scott. we have been together since we were 15. we are highschool sweethearts and since we've been together we've practically been inseperable!! :lovestruc we fell in love quickly, and have known from the get go that we would spend our lives together. we always get on so well.. we're soulmates and best friends. i feel so lucky that we found eachother so early on in our lives!! but we never wanted to rush into marriage, we figured we'd have our whole lives together to think about that! we wanted to make the most of being teenagers, and just have fun! :goodvibes

on my 19th birthday, scott just couldn't wait any longer and he proposed!! :lovestruc i was extatic!! i'd never been so happy!! :cloud9: we were both so excited and couldn't wait to tell our family! we figured that we had been together for a few years now and felt mature enough to start thinking about getting married  - however the parents didn't give us the reaction we hoped for. they said we were too young and they would all be a lot happier if we lived together first - so we respected their opinion, and that's what we did! a year later after a lot of hardcore saving, we bought our dream home together! :yay: i'm so glad we did this! now we feel that we can conquer anything together, and are now truly ready to start thinking about marriage (i hate to admit it, but sometimes the parents really are right.. :rolleyes1 )

we are coming up to a year in our gorgous home.. and have recently started to revisit our wedding plans! :bride: we originally thought that we would get married in england, as this would be the cheapest and easiest option - but after seeing people we know get married in england, we found out that this is not always the case. we have seen people pay over £12,000 for their wedding in sunny england - we can't imagine spending that much money on one day.. we would much rather spend money like that on an amazing holiday! :cool1: so we then started to look at weddings abroad.. and we were amazed at the prices! it's such better value for money! we then knew that a wedding abroad for us was the way to go!! :woohoo:

i myself am a HUGE disney fan!! :wizard: i have all the classics on DVD.. i absolutely love them!! i am in love with mickey and minnie mouse.. that's the cutest couple right there!! however i have never been to disneyworld! (i know.. i was a very deprived child!! :rotfl: ) it is the one place i have always wanted to go.. i have dreamt of going since i was a little girl. i did however go to disneyland paris for 3 days with my dance school, but we spent most of the time rehersing for our production we were putting on in fantasyland. :dance3: i only spent a little while in the parks, but it was amazing!! scott went to disneyworld twice when he was younger and loved it! he has always said he will take me on my dream holiday to disneyworld when we have the money.. so i knew i would be waiting a while! :rolleyes1

knowing how disney mad i am, my friend said to me - 'why don't you get married at disneyworld??'... and that was it! ever since i first looked up the disneyworld fairy tale weddings website and found these boards.. i have been obsessed!! :surfweb: as i have always dreamt of going to disneyworld, having our wedding there will make 2 dreams come true all at once.. perfect!! :thumbsup2 the escape package suits us down to the ground as it means only our immediate family will be able to come, we love the idea of a much more intimate ceremony! then when we return to england, we will have an evening reception/party in a pretty village hall to celebrate with all the family and friends who weren't at the ceremony!
party:

wow well that turned out a bit longer than i thought it would, i hope i'm not boring you too much!! :rotfl:

next up.. OUR PLANS!! :woohoo:

tinkerbell1988
11-20-2009, 02:20 PM
escape package: $4750

end of april - beginning of may 2012 (i've changed this from 2nd august as we have had many people warn us about the extreme weather at this time of year.. so i've done my research and this should be a good time for crowds and lovely weather!)

SBP @ 2.30pm

fresh floral bouquet
fresh floral boutonniere
beautiful two-tiered wedding cake
one bottle of our signature fairy tale cuvee (pours approximately six servings) or two bottles of non-alcoholic sparkling cider
keepsake mickey and minnie cake topper
a violinist to play during your event
a limousine charter for four consecutive hours
a professional disney photographer to capture your event and an album of 20 4x6 prints (as we are going to hire misty - see below - i will do my best to puasuade our planner to let us put this towards an enhancement like a honeymoon photo session or something, however this may be difficult as i've read that they no longer are doing this.. but it never hurt to ask!!)
a personal wedding web site

enhancements/extra costs we have in mind: (with some rough price ideas i got mostly from these boards..)

soft drinks - $150 ($12.50 per guest)
upgrade floral to silk floral - $100?
misty miotto 6 hours coverage CD only package - $1200?
magic kingdom and epcot bridal portrait session - $1300? (2 days after the wedding - with amy!!)

Aww it's lovely getting married on your anniversary, i did think about the same but ours is June 2nd and I wanted a date that had less risk of rain espcially as I want our ceremony at Sea breeze point which is an outside location. Plus I hate crowds and have heard late april/early may is pretty good time as easter will be over with by then and school back.

I'm glad to have found another 2012 escape bride aswell, espcially one thats from the UK :)

Have you thought about your dress yet? so exciting your first Disneyworld trip will be your wedding.

Congrats!!! I'm so excited for you! We got married on August 1, and people told us we were crazy. The heat plus hurricane season, but it was the only time we could get married. You will be inside so you don't have to worry about the heat, we got married outside, our poor guests... Anyway, I'm excited for you and I'll be following along!!!! Can't wait to see pics!

i know it'll be the trip of a lifetime that's for sure!! :rotfl: i have heard that october is a great month for the great weather and few crowds.. might be a month to consider? :cutie: ooh yes the dress! i think i've figured out how to post pics so i'll post some below of a few dresses i like so far! :bride:

aww thanks for reading!! :thumbsup2 yeah i have to admit the air conditioning in the wedding pavilion was another factor that clinched the deal for us! we're not that great with the heat.. we like warmth but being from england we're not used to extremely hot weather :cool2: but it will be worth it to get married on our anniversary! i think i have figured out how to post pictures.. so i'll try posting a few below! :upsidedow

this is a pic i found very similar to my ring.. i think i'm going to use it as my wedding band and get a new e-ring with a solitaire stone. we were kinda broke at the time so this had to do, i still love it so much!!

http://i992.photobucket.com/albums/af46/xtinkerbell1988x/18030319000000021.jpg

below are some dresses i've seen and liked so far.. although i don't think i'll find 'the dress' till i actually go into shops and try them on.. i'm 4ft 11" and fairly slim, so unless i fork out for a custom made dress, i'll definately have to pay an adjustment fee! ugh.. i hate being small!! oh, and i'm a size 2 shoe.. nightmare! even JUNIOR trainers start at a 3... i have no idea where i'm going to find bridal shoes to fit!! :rotfl: anyway enough of my ranting.. here are the dresses, they're by Alfred Angelino i think..

I love the third dress

aww thankyou!

well i haven't been on here much in the last couple of weeks.. i've had so much going on!! i have recently started a new job! :woohoo: i'm now sales administrator at the company scott works at.. i'm absolutely loving it!!! well.. anythings gotta be better than what i was doing before.. professional mouse clicker isn't much to go on the CV!! :rotfl: but it was really hard leaving the people i had been working with the last 2 years.. it's been an emotional ride but has definately been worth it!!

also.. i'm 21 tomorrow!!! i'm so excited! i'm not doing much.. just having some close family round after work. my official celebration is when we go to see Miley Cyrus perform in london on the 13th december.. i'm soooo excited for that!! i'm such a huge miley fan!!! :yay:

returning to the topic of weddings slightly.. all my spare time (which isn't much at the moment!!) has been spent making over 70 table name cards for scott's sisters wedding on the 20th december... it was a looong job!! and only having a few weeks to make them was stressful.. but they're finally done!! i think they look alright but i'm such a perfectionist i'm always going to find faults! thought i would post a picture of them incase anyone's making their own and needed some inspiration. the hearts were cut out using a stamp and i stuck a piece of glittery adhesive paper behind :cutie:

Hello, just read through your plans, it's amazing how much you have planned already!

I'm having Misty at my wedding too, she does such great shots!

I like the first dress with the gold in it, but I'm biased, because I'm having gold as one of my wedding colours!

thanks so much!! :woohoo:

just a quick update really.. we have changed the date as we have had many people warn us about the weather in august.. so we are now thinking end of april - beginning of may (thanks to sarah84 for this info very useful info!!).. no specific date yet chosen.. possibly 25th april??

we have also decided against a wedding videographer, 1 - it's expensive.. and 2 - it's expensive!!!! so we're just going to have a family member take video on a high quality camcorder, so we'll still have the lasting memory for a fraction of the price!

well.. i said it was short! :rotfl: i hope you all are having a lovely christmas time! :santa: and roll on 2010!!!!! :cheer2:

Smart move with the date change...August can be brutally hot in Florida, not to mention trying to walk around the parks or stand in lines in that kind of weather! The end of April or beginning of May would be great! My DF and I wanted the end of April as well but decided on the summer time (early!). I totally agree with you on the videographer. It just wasn't in our budget either. But I think unless you want a fancy video made by a company, a friend doing it for you is a fantastic alternative!

exactly!! it can be a lot more personal too i reckon, and at least that means one less person that we don't really know wandering around with lots of equipment! everyone we've spoken to about our plans has said not to do it in august.. so we've torn ourselves away from doing it on our anniversary.. it would have been amazing but i would rather everyone was comfortable thats for sure!! my sister went with her husband and son in june, she said it was warm all the time, but not too hot, however there was a storm almost every afternoon - but overall it wasn't uncomfortably hot!

Glad you had a good birthday :)

yes santa was extremely generous this year hehe! shame he didnt leave enough money for our wedding.. but i wasn't that good this year so i can't complain  how was your christmas and new years? now that it's 2010 it feels a lot closer to 2012.. at least we're into the teens! :lmao:

OMG we would be out there at the same time!!!! i could even be really nosey and pop by the boardwalk and have a sneak at you getting married! how cool would that be!?! that's it.. it's def the 25th April now! :goodvibes

i've been thinking about colour schemes over the past few days.. and have come up with a tiffany blue and white theme.. just wondered what everyone thinks.. here are some of my inspirations..

i would love to have tiffany blue calla lilies with white ribbon wrapped round the stems, does anyone know if this would be possible to create? or do you only get certain colours to chose from within the escape package?? can you chose the ribbon colour yourself? hmm.. maybe a bit early in the stages for me to be asking these questions :rotfl:

I love your colour scheme idea, it was actually one that i was considering along with white and silver or maybe something a bit more turqouise and brighter than tiffany blue or white, silver & a bright pink

I just read through your PJ and your story is so cute! I'm so excited for you to have your first trip to the world, and to get married there too! (I'm sure it will not be your last trip!) Your plans sound really great, and although it's a long time away, it will give you time to plan everything and save, and I'm sure it will go by fast. I really like the colors you are considering. My sister used Pool from David's Bridal for her wedding, and it looks like the color you are considering is very similar. I loved the color for her wedding, and was so glad she chose a nice color for the BM dresses! I would actually consider using that color if she didn't use something so similar. I can't wait to here more about your plans! Congats on the engagement, house, and wedding plans!::yes::

ooh i actually bought a folder from whsmiths for all my wedding bits to go in, and it has all those colours on it!! silver, hot pink, light pink and turquoise! :thumbsup2 it's got a blossom pattern to it. maybe you could use that for inspiration!? i tried to find a pic on their website but they only have the large folder on there.. so you'd be better off popping into their store i reckon.. but as soon as you said all those colours my folder came straight to my mind!! :goodvibes

i am currently having a small dilemma!! i have changed my mind about changing out of my dress and going to epcot for a casual dinner. after all i will be paying a lot for the dress, so i want to wear it all day and get the vip treatment, even if we are having a reception back home.. i guess this is my greedy side starting to show!! :lmao: we think we would now like to have..

misty for 8 hours starting at 1.30pm
wedding at the pavilion at 2.30
cake cutting and champagne celebration at 4pm till 5pm
photo's at the GF till 5.45
travel to the boardwalk for photo's

we're not sure what to do here - perhaps tea at the garden view tea room? or a non private meal somewhere? not sure... :confused3

8pm - walk from the Boardwalk to the International Gateway at Epcot for an Illuminations DP at the UK Lower (i have read it is possible to just meet an escort here instead of getting the bus, therefore saving lots of money!! :thumbsup2) i also read that savoury snacks are available at this location, will this put the price up per person???

ok.. so after a LOT of surfing :surfweb:..... here is our new plan. we think we are opting for a wishes wedding, as after we've added all the enhancements we want to the escape package such as a reception dinner and dessert party (yes we have now decided we would like a reception dinner.... i am SO indecisive haha!!) we think overall it might be less expensive to do wishes.. well according to the DFTW calculator anyway! and there are a few things in the escape package that we wouldn't use such as the photography which is a bit of a waste really. as people would be paying a lot to come out and see us get married, we want them (and us) to have the whole wedding experience! so here is what we're now thinking of doing for the time being..

Ceremony @ Wedding Pavilion – 2.30pm
Cocktail Hour @ Grand Floridian – 3.30pm
Reception & Cake Cutting @ the Attic (BW) – 4.30pm
Epcot Dessert Party @ UK Lower – 8.30pm

i'm sure i'll change my mind a few more times in the next year or so.. but it's something to keep my mind occupied anyhow :rotfl:

We did exactly what you guys decided to do, lol. Eventually the costs were just non-prohibitive of an Escape wedding...here are my comments for you, take them for what you will :)

Ceremony @ Wedding Pavilion – 2.30pm If you are going to have a 2:30 ceremony I would say depending on where you want to stay, you might want to have Misty start earlier. If you are going to do bridal party portraits at the GF your WP will schedule you to be there about an hour ealier.
Cocktail Hour @ Grand Floridian – 3.30pm This is a good idea, but kinda short on time. Your ceremony will be done at 3 though so you could have the cocktail hour from 3-4 and then transport your guests at 4
Reception & Cake Cutting @ the Attic (BW) – 4.30pm
Epcot Dessert Party @ UK Lower – 8.30pm I think you will actually be making your way over to EPCOT a bit earlier than this. That's another reason to bump up your time with Misty if you have a full 8 hours since she can't come to EPCOT with you.

I love your plans though. We also chose the Wedding Pavilion and I'm so excited to use it!:lovestruc

oh no i didn't realise misty can't come to epcot with us!! :scared1: in that case i think i'll take your advice and have her start earlier and maybe even reduce her hours... oh bummer that's put another spanner in the works!! :rotfl: i also didnt realise the ceremony was so short!!! i knew i read somewhere that you get longer at the pavilion, i just didn't realise that it was to be used before the ceremony!! my goodness i think i definately need to do more research! my mind is totally frazzled :lmao: thanks for all the useful info :worship:

i've also just read that to have a wishes wedding, you need to spend a minimum of $12,000.. is this true?? is there no way we could spend less but still have a wishes wedding?? oh i'm so confused.. i feel brand new to all this now!! :confused3 i can't work out if it would be cheaper to have the escape package with the reception and DP add ons.. or to just go for wishes.. i can't imagine us ever spending enough to meet the $12,000 minimum for wishes if this is required.. ah well.. back to the drawing board i go!!!! :teacher:

Hiya!

Fellow UK bride here! And I'm the same age as you!

I love the Tiffany blue colours- As far as I know, you can have whatever floral you like, you can send the florist inspirational pics and they will create it for you.

Yay for the wishes wedding, we are having a lot of extras that add up to over the Wishes minimum so it just made sense for us to have the Wishes over the Escape. Yes you have to meet $12,000 before tax & service charges- there is no way you can get past spending this- its a set thing for all Wishes weddings- this 12k can be met through food, drink, locations, cake, entertainment ect.

We are having a similar timeline for the day, suggested by our planner as follows;

2:30pm Ceremony at Sea Breeze Point
3:30pm Pre Reception for guests at the Attic
4:30pm Reception - M&M, Dans to appear
8pm - Leave for Epcot UK LochSide for Dessert Party
8:30pm- 9:30pm Illuminations Dessert Party.
After this, as we will be staying at Boardwalk, we will most likely chill out at the Belle Vue.

My photographer is Randy Chapman and we are having him for 7 hours, so he will take a few getting ready shots, then we will have him right up until we leave for the dessert party. We *might* hire a Disney photographer for the hour to take shots at Epcot.

If you need any help, just PM me!

1) Photographers that don't work for Disney can't come to in park events. So you can have her for the wedding pavilion, cocktails and reception.

2) The minimum for Wishes wedding is $12,000 for weekday weddings and $15,000 for weekend weddings. There is no getting around that. And that's $12,000 just for expenses with Disney, MIsty wouldn't county.

It seems like a lot but when we priced it out, it was coming close to $10,000 for the escape wedding we wanted so it made sense to go to a Wishes wedding...but it's not right for everyone.

I really like the plans and time lines that you switched to... I think it all sounds great. I would go for the wishes wedding if you can come up with the money. I was thinking I wasn't going to meet the $12,000 minimum when I started planning, and now I am thinking I'm going to be way over. One thing you can consider doing is using Disney for photography instead of Misty... even though I also love Misty's work. I suggest this because photography is expensive and if you are worried about meeting the minimum... this would bring you much closer. Also then you could have photography for the DP. Good luck with deciding which one to pick! Also, where are you thinking of doing the cocktail hour? We are going to use the GF marina!

wow you're wedding sounds amazing!! :lovestruc i just love the look of the attic, but what is M&M's.. i guess i'm still pretty new at this :rotfl: and we have now changed our minds about the location and are going with SBP! the only thing is with wishes is that minimum of $12,000, which even though i know we could easily meet if we had the money.. i just don't think our pockets will stretch that much... but if somehow we come up with the money, we will definately be switching to wishes without a second thought!! thanks for all your help! i'll be having a nosie at your PJ for inspiration! :cheer2:

aww that's such a shame about outside photographers! i have seen shots at peoples dessert parties that misty has taken, she even took them round epcot for some sneaky shots round the world! i guess that's why they stopped it.. ah well! and i think we're going to have to go with the escape package... as like i said above i don't think our pockets will stretch that far, as i have my heart set on getting outside photography so with that and the other outside vendors on top, it will be too expensive for us :sad1:

I really like the colours you've chosen and I love the bridesmaid dress you have in the picture but I'm a little biased as that is the dress my sister is wearing to my escape wedding, only in red.

ooh i love weddings with red as the theme! scott's sisters wedding last december was a red and white theme, looked stunning! especially at christmas!!! :santa:

that is a really good idea using disney to meet the minimum! the only thing i'm worried about is that i have seen mixed reviews about their work. it really depends on which photographer you get i suppose, and even though i could request for someone in particular (amy's shots i have seen are amazing!!) there is no guarantee that we would get her, so i kinda have my heart set on outside photography as that is my main priority. i think we're going to go with escape and try and use the disney photography that comes within the package for the dessert party instead (i'm hoping this can be done..) and as we're not going with wishes we dont think we can afford a cocktail hour either.. but we were thinking somewhere at the GF too! thanks for all your help and suggestions!! :flower3:

well here it is.. what i have been obsessiong about for the past 2 weeks!! :rotfl:

Misty Miotto to start (6hrs) - 1.30pm
Escape Ceremony @ SBP - 2.30
Cake & Champagne Celebration - 3.00pm
Photo's round the Boardwalk - 4.00pm
Reception dinner somewhere at the Boardwalk (where? undecided.. i LOVE the attic but i've read on mouseweddings.com that it has a minimum of $4500 if it ends after 5.30pm.. a bit steep! so we're on the lookout for something with a min under $2000 - suggestions welcome!! :goodvibes)
Misty Miotto's time runs out - 7.30pm
Walk to the International Gateway for the DP - 7.45pm (UK Lower / Morocco if we have less than 20 guests)
Dessert Party Starts - 8.30pm (we're hoping that as we won't be using the Disney Photography for the ceremony we could use it for the DP instead at no extra cost :rolleyes1)
9.00pm - Fireworks!!
9.30pm - Back to room at the Boardwalk Inn

well that's it.. partly inspired by PrincessShea's beautiful wedding! ok.. now i need to find something else to obsess about!! :lmao:

I like the sound of your new plan!! Oh and the reason you have seen pics that Misty took in EPCOT is because they used to allow outside photographers. It's a fairly recent (like a year) rule...you had to sign your contract by a certain time!!

Here are some suggestions for reception:
Blue Zoo @ the Dolphin
Up to 15 people the minimum is only $1200 (it jumps to $2400 after that)

It looks like the Attics minimum Sun-Th after 5 are only $2500.

I know Flying Fish also offers something, I don't have the minimums handy. There is Il Mulino at the Swan and Dolphin...this was one of our top pics when we were thinking Escape. I love the interior:

I don't think Disney will allow you to use the included photographer from the Escape package at the dessert party (unless this has changed very recently). They will allow you to have them as a 'photojournalistic' second photographer during the day, but some outside photographers are touchy about this!!! I am having Randy and he allows this I think but I am not sure whether I will do this or not yet.

Me and DF will be going to both in December so I will let you know what we thought if you haven't made a decision yet. I don't know if Disney will let you use the photographer for free for the DP, but I saw somewhere (I think Carrie's Passporters book) that to get a Disney photographer for only the DP is only $350, which is pretty reasonable. Everything sounds great so far, can't wait to hear more!:thumbsup2

We had an Escape VR at SBP in April last year. Our ceremony was at 2.30pm and we had 12 guests plus ourselves. We had dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse (in the Yacht Club Resort) at 5.30pm. We ordered off the regular menu and the cost (including wine) was about $1000. We had the Tables in Wonderland card so we got 20% discount. We didn't have a private room but we were in a semi private area of the restaurant. The meal was delicious and the service was great.

Incidentally, you'll only be allowed to walk to your DP via the IG if you're having it in the UK or France. Morocco is considered too far to walk in your wedding dress and you have to pay for transportation, either limo or minibus depending on the number of guests.

At least you have plenty of time to save LOL!

I just stumbled upon your PJ and I just wanted to say Congrats on your engagement and up coming wedding. I love your story. You guys look like such a cute couple!! DH and I started dating young too(also lived together first) and were married with a baby at 22! Almost 16 years later(married almost 13 years) and we just had our vow renewal at Disney in Nov.

I think your plans sound wonderful! The timeline looks great. We had Misty and she was fantastic, you will not be disappointed. The colors you have chosen are so pretty and perfect for an early May wedding. The dresses you have picked are all very pretty but I really love the 3rd one best.

I would look more into Il Mulino for dinner. It looks really nice in there and the food is suppose to be fantastic.

Good luck with all your planning and have fun!

yes PLENTY of time to save!!!! :lmao: your meal sounds like it was very reasonable! i've read great things about that resteraunt on here! i think i'd be fine with semi-private too if it meant we could order off the regular menu! i hope enough people can make the wedding so we can have our DP at the UK.. if not we can always use the limo that comes with the escape package, as i don't think we'll need it for the actual ceremony as we're staying at the boardwalk anyway!! omg, i can't believe it's still so far away.. i'm getting too excited!!!!!! :woohoo:

Your new plans looks great, and I thought i was terrible at keep changing my mind but you beat me :rotfl:

Intially i thought about a wishes wedding but quickly decided it wasn't really an option because the cost - as we are having to pay for about 4 or 5 of the flights for people coming with us and a villa we just couldn't manage the costs and really didn't want to put so much pressure on ourselves to try and save such a large amount plus you have to book about 20 nights minimum at Disney hotels i think and as we are only having around 15 guests (who we didn't want to tell you HAVE to stay in Disney hotel) and don't intend to spend our honeymoon there it was very, very unlikely we'd be able to meet that. So an Escape wedding was the best option for us :)

SBP looks so pretty, after seeing picture of all the locations and intially loving the WP I decided that for us it wasn't really an option as felt it would just look so empty with our small number of guests and when i saw the pictures of SBP I just knew it was the location for us :)

The restaurants at Swan & Dolphin looks lovely and I considered having our reception at one as I love the decor at them unfortunately the menus at any of the 2 suited us. I'm really hoping we can fit an evening reception at the Napa Room @ California Grill in our budget

:lmao: i have been VERY indecisive this past couple of weeks, but the obsessing has paid off! we now know exactly what we are doing on the day! :woohoo:

yeah the escape package i think is so much more reasonable.. if it wasn't for that pesky $12,000 minimum i would go for wishes as there are things in the escape package we are either not using or upgrading anyway, but that's the way it goes! wow you must be saving hard for all those flights!! and i thought we had a lot to save up!! :lmao: yeah staying off site is so much cheaper, i wouldn't expect our guests to stay at a disney hotel, there is a huge difference in price!

yeah that's the exact reason we have ended up going for SBP instead of the WP (well and the price, and the carpet in the WP kinda put me off aswell :rotfl:) i think the Boardwalk is much more intimate.. i don't want our vows to echo through an empty room  i've seen some beautiful photos of SBP in PrincessShea's PJ/TR.. that's also what made us change our minds.. the set up she had was beautiful with the chair covers and the petals on the aisle! i also think the lighting is better for taking photo's as it's outdoors :thumbsup2

ooh i hope you can save up enough for the Napa Room at CG, i've heard great things! nice views of the castle and wishes fireworks apparently :goodvibes

That timeline looks great to me! Your plans are really perfect!

Don't worry about changing your mind so many times. I started off with an Escape, then changed to Wishes, back to Escape, then changed the date then went to Wishes. :rotfl:

Wow, you are so organized! We're looking at a VR for May 5, 2012 and we are strongly considering il mulino too. It looks beautiful. If only they would get back to me on pricing! Did they tell you how much it would be to rent out the entire restaurant? Do they do private or semi-private rooms? I'd love to hear more. We're still torn between citricos at the GF, sago cay, and il mulino. So many choices! Good luck on your planning adventure, I'll be following along :goodvibes

tinkerbell1988 - do you have pricing for you dinner at il mulino? I'm going married at the swan in May and was thinking of going there for dinner since they are right there. It seems to be the only menu where i can find something i might actually like. thanks!

I've emailed Lindsey from Il Mulino and she was very nice, she sent me menus and all sorts of other info. It looks like you can build your own menu and she sent some samples that start around $75 per person (not including alcohol). You can do it for less if you want, I think $50 per person is possible if you make some changes. I can forward you the info she sent me if you'd like, just message me your email address. We're considering il Mulino too because you can rent out the courtyard for a cocktail reception and we'll be there in 2 weeks to look around.
