Pins??

We are new DVC members and have been seeing many posts about WL pins. Is this something we may be receiving in the near future. WLV is our home resort and it would be nice to have the pin. We have not yet received our permanent membership cards and all. So will we be getting pins sometime too??? :)

We are new VWL (February 2001) owners too. Our family collects pins so we asked our guide for one when we closed. Sure enough she sent one along. "Ask and you shall receive". :)

My DH discussed the whole pin thing with our guide and she acted like she wasn't sure what he was talking about. Is it up to your guide to make sure that the pin gets out??

Our guide gave us one. It wasn't an official Disney thing. She was being nice. Most importantly, she sent it to us after all the contracts were signed so she didn't do it just for a sale. As a matter of fact, it wasn't even mentioned before the sale. :)

DVC has been sending out VWL pins to DVC members. It does not seem to be only to VWL members. We bought at VWL back in December and got a pin about a month ago. :)

Every DVC Memeber Was Sent a WLV Pin....I dont know what date they made there list from. So if you just bought I dont know the answer but if you have been a memeber you should have got a pin.

I should clarify from my earlier posting about our Guide sending us a pin. It was not a VWL pin but another pin that cast members have access to. She was being nice to my children who were discussing pins. We asked her about pins after the sale and she sent one. I still have not received the official one from Disney if there is one.

that is being discussed has nothing to do with who you do or don't have for a guide. We bought a resale 2 years ago and have never heard from a guide. We got the pin weeks ago. It had some vacation timeshare disclosure information in the package. Seems to be working the way the VWL property is flying off of the shelf.
