We are taking the 4-day cruise on January 19th. Anyone ever stay in the room? Any comments? This is our first cruise so we really don't know what to expect. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I checked on expedia and saw that there are still a couple category 6 rooms available, but most of them are adjoining rooms so I don't think we want to change. We would just like some idea of what to expect. BTW it will be me, DH, and DD's 4 and 2 traveling. DD 2 is a monkey so I am a little nervous about the verandah. I think I may have to keep a leash on her the whole trip! If anyone hears "man overboard" you can bet it will be a little toehead from NJ......

6050 is a great room in a great location. I wouldn't want to change rooms.

As for your monkey-child... all railings on the ship are lined with PlexiGlas so children can't use the rails to climb like ladders. And the verandah door has a lock that's pretty difficult for adults to figure out much less children. You'll have to make a point of locking the verandah door whenever you come back inside and set the rule with your monkey-child that she is not allowed on the verandah without an adult.

Wow, didn't know that about the railings. I feel much better now! Thanks for reassuring me.

shelly3girls,

We will be on the same cruise. Traveling will be myself, DH, DD6, and DD2 who will turn 3 during the cruise. My youngest is also quite the climber. We sometimes call her "Adventure Girl" because of what she will get herself into.

Shelly3girls,
We will be in the same room on the Aug 4 2002 4 day. I'll let you know how it is & make sure we keep it in ggod order for you! Myself, DW, DD (17) DS (14). Might be a little tight but we do not plan on spending much time in the room.

We were in 6089 on 3/23 (inside cabin). We loved that deck. It's so close to everything. We did use the stairs most of the time though!!!!!It was me anmd DD9 and DS7. Plenty of room for us but we weren't in the room at all except to sleep and change clothes! Make sure you get the wake up call and let your kids pick it up! They'll be so excited!!!
