ESPN Club to move? [Archive] - The DIS Discussion Forums

Hi,
I just read that the Disney Sports Complex will be renamed ESPN Zone or something like that, with a new ESPN dining complex. Does anyone know if the ESPN Club will also remain at the Boardwalk? As a BWV owner, we spend a lot of time there and would really miss it.

It does not sound like it is going to be an ESPN Zone which is a chain of sports entertainment restaurants run by one Disney subsidiary which does not run ESPN Club at BW. Nevertheless, it is hard to say whether they will eliminate the Club at BW

I hope so too! It is the one restaurant that our DS14 will eat dinner with us without acting like he's 4 :rotfl:

He takes silly pictures with me, tries new food, gets up early on vacation... all for that last evening at ESPN Zone! :thumbsup2

cant see them moving it--it fits there and always seems to be a crowd.

Could duplicate it for WWS? 2 RFC locales in WDW

Thanks for sharing that information as I had not yet heard that. I sure hope they don't close the one at BW. That is a wonderful place to go especially on Sundays during NFL season. :thumbsup2

The place is always busy though and packed for sporting events so I can not see that making financial sense for them to close it. If anyone hears anything else please let us know. Thanks.

There was a rumor 2 or 3 years ago that an ESPN Zone would be opened at Disney Quest. I think a larger location with more arcade games would be popular.

Disney has 2 RAIN FORREST CAFES, why not 2 ESPN ZONES!!!

Keep in mind that ESPN Zone is different than ESPN Club.

I spoke to the Manager at the ESPN club at the Boardwalk a year ago when we heard rumors about them moving as well as Swan being bought by Disney. According to him neither was true and the ESPN Club signed a long term contract to stay.

Then again I did not talk to those most in the know - the WDW bus drivers!
